Kim Ann is an award-winning children’s author based in Southern California. So much rainbow fun!
This is a simple story that follows Ruby and her friends as they look for her wand.
The super bright colours and cute creatures will make this very popular with little ones.

A wind came up & whisked her Swirly-Whirly Wand off.
Ruby asked her friends to help her find it.
Butterscotch (rabbit); Cocoa (cat); & Fudge (frog) all offered to help.

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational presentation (love), movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

Fun to Read!

Readers are going to giggle with delight at the fun alliterative phrases sprinkled throughout this magical adventure. Ruby is adorable and her friends are just as sweet. She uses communication to solve her problem and all ends well for the rainbow witch and her friendly friends. Readers will learn that with kindness and communication, they too can have magical adventures.

Ruby the rainbow witch

This is super sweet story of the rainbow witch who lost her wand and asked her friends help. She end up finding a leprechaun who thought it was a lollipop because of the rainbow swirls. Ruby told him it was her swirly-whirly wand that matched her hat and dress. The leprechaun gave her back her wand and she made him a rainbow hat like she did for her other friends.

Friendship and using your words

I loved how Ruby and her friends worked together to find her lost wand. I also love how at the end of the story when Ruby is confronted with a confrontation over her wand, she uses her words to explain that it is her wand and why she needs it and was able to resolve the problem. Instead of getting angry or upset, she used her words and was able to get her wand back. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful use of alliterations!
