Having dual careers, one as an author and the other in IT Security, affords her, in her dual personas, to meld expertise from many disciplines and venues into stories that keep her readers coming back for more. Jerry Hampton, the companion attendant to the alter ego, Shanon Grey, provides the discipline and order to the creativity. She also provides the artistry that does into covers and accompanying materials for web sites, events, and book signings.
She currently lives in the mountains of Georgia, trading the familiarity of the coast for the lush beauty and wonder of the mountains, where her husband fulfilled her lifelong dream—to live in a cottage in the woods, where inspiration abounds.
This may be the best Ruthorford novel to date. From the single vehicle car crash in the first chapter all the way to very last word, this book is a thrill ride. We learn more about the residents of Ruthorford and how almost everyone is interconnected. There is some great heartbreak along with moments that make the reader's heart overflow with joy. Everything that makes these novels such fun to read is included - bad guys, chase scenes, magic, and romance. Shanon Grey is a great storyteller and this world that she has created is one that I really wish I really could visit.
Full disclosure - I am one of the editors of this book and got to read an advance copy of it. I read a lot of books and I had trouble putting this one down. At times I got so caught up in the story, that I had to go back and reread some of it as an editor.
This was the best book in this series. I love being in Ruthorford and visiting all it's residents. This author better live to be 100 years old so I can continue to visit Ruthorford.
