This book is part of the Brother's Best Friend Series by Sofia Summers and is a great addition to the series. Even though this is a brother's best friend troupe, her brother is not a main part of the story. If you like romantic comedies you'll enjoy this book. Imagine you're the wedding planner at a fancy Valentine Day wedding in Vail and you end up marrying the groom. Preston and Lyric were great characters and it was a second chance at love for them. The story line is unique and nothing like I thought it would be. A cute romance that was fun to read and will keep you smiling. Lyric Dean had known Preston Clark for years, had a crush on him since she was twelve. So when they met at a party in college, her brother not around, and both of them relaxed from a few beers, and with Lyric’s urging, they had a one night stand as he became her first.

Five years later, Lyric is a wedding planner at a destination wedding in Vail, Colorado, in February. Preston’s cousin, Chad, was getting married on Valentine’s Day! It made Preston think of his girl who had gotten away. He hadn’t had a serious relationship since then. His family had asked him to make sure everyone got here. So he was heading to the chapel to talk to the wedding planner and go over details for the wedding the next day. He was stunned to see Lyric, but she hadn’t seen him yet. He still didn’t know why she hated him. As soon as she looked over at him, he could see by her reaction she wasn’t happy with him. An ancient priest entered who insisted only he could marry them in this chapel. The bride and groom’s plane was delayed, so Lyric asked Preston to stand in for the groom for the run-through rehearsal. As Lyric and Preston stood in front of the priest, she suddenly realized he was going through the entire marriage vows. She tried to stop him, but he waved her off and continued, stopping only for them to say their part of their vows. All went well and the guests exited in the proper order. Lyric continued answering questions and going over her list. Apparently no one else, like the maid of honor or best man, were bothering to help her.

An older woman, the organist, asked them to come into the office to deal with the paperwork. Both were asked to sign, but Preston noticed it was a marriage certificate! The priest told them they had just been married! And it was legal according to Colorado law! What would they do now?

This was a good story, definitely different than what the reader expected, but in a really good way. Preston and Lyric were likable characters and Preston especially wanted a second chance with her. Would he get his wish? Would she stay married to him? Even more important, would they talk about the misunderstanding in their past and realize he never knew that she thought he betrayed her with a cruel rumor?

This wasn't one of my favorite books by Ms. Summers since Preston was a hard to like character for me. He was always jumping to conclusions and Lyric seemed to always bear the brunt of his anger. How she could easily forgive him time after time amazed me. There wasn't the normal depth to the characters either - what you see is what you get. He was too readily accepting of people and taking them at their word. A little naïve for a partner in a law firm who comes from a lot of money. The story was told in alternating chapters by Preston or Lyric.

The story was set in Vail and Boston and had detailed descriptions that made me feel like I was there. Some of the secondary characters showed their true colors over and over again and Preston was the pick up the pieces guy until he'd had enough. The story was choppy at times but kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next. There were a lot of steamy moments some that were over the top and not necessary to the telling of the story. There was better than anticipated closure especially with the epilogue that takes place a year after the story begins in earnest. There was of course a happily ever after! There was an excerpt of the next book in the series, Dating My Brother's Best Friend, that was entertaining. The cover was nice but didn't fit the picture I had of either character.

Ms. Summers is an author whose books I've enjoyed. I do plan on reading more of them.

Their happy ending was a long time coming but so rewarding to read about
by sewsummore

Tenor and Preston were best friends growing up and Lyric was a younger sister that tagged along with them during that time, so it was not surprising that Lyric would develop a crush on Preston. It was when she was in college and all grown up. that they hooked up for the first time, something Preston said "Should never have happened!" Lyric was crushed and heartbroken, moving to another college and never meeting him again until five years later. The magic between them was still there, but best forgotten until while standing in as the bride and groom at a wedding rehearsal saw them unexpectedly married to each other. I thoroughly enjoyed this romance, it ticked all my boxes and then some more. Lyric and Preston had been separated by Preston's jealous sister's lies and Preston's belief that Tenor would never accept a relationship between them. There was undeniable passion between them that refused to be quenched after all the time that had past and they quickly found their way into bed again. I liked that neither one of them forgot how wonderful their first-night together was and despite the years apart still had the same feelings for each other. Both of them had moved on with their lives achieving goals in their working life, never again finding the magic they had experienced together. Their happy ending was a long time coming but so rewarding to read about.

The story had promise, but the writing was immature.

If you suspend your disbelief, the story has a lot of promise. However, this is clearly a rough draft, and the author never did a second read-through. There was at least one (unnecessary) exclamation point on every page. There were typos in every paragraph.

There were numerous plot holes, the most glaring of which was the age difference. The book alternated between saying Lyric was a Sophomore and a Freshman in college when she was with Preston (a senior), but their ages were 20 and 24. If they were 4 years apart, maybe it would be plausible for them to be a Freshman and a Senior, but, on average, the ages also don’t align.

The characters were immature and did not seem to have any growth throughout the story.

The story lacked complexity and did not invoke any emotions of depth.

This author could take her writing to the next step with a good editor. However, I do not think I’ll read more of her books. It almost seemed like it was written by a high schooler, except that most of the book was about sex.

2.5 *

Let's start with the cover, the cover does not feature a plus size voluptuous character, but that is how the main character is described (in addition to unflattering terms such as heavyset and fat). The character's also seem to be lacking. The main character doesn't have any friends written in the book until one is haphazardly thrown in in the epilogue. The brother is only talked about for most of the book, but doesn't really have much of a part to play further than adding to the trope. There was never any interaction between the main character Lyric (don't get me started on her and her brother's names) and Preston's parents. Honestly, the meat of the story seems to happen off page. It was incredibly disappointing, and the writing for the eBook was severely unedited. Typically I give these kinds of books 3 stars, but this was just so lackluster. Also, if this bothers you the epilogue has a wedding and a pregnancy. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone honestly unless they are severely bored (but even then you can find something better).

Lyric has known Preston for most of her life as he was her brothers best friend, most of that time she had a crush on him, but after hooking up at a party in college everything went wrong, she thought he had spread rumours about her and hated him for it.

Five Years later she was a wedding planner at a destination wedding in Vail, Colorado, for valentines day but everything went wrong when the bride and groom got held up and Lyric and Preston stood in for the rehearsal after it had ended the priest got them to sign a bit of paper which turned out to be a marriage licence, they tried everything to get out of it but they were officially married.

Lyric needed to go to the house where the reception was being held so Preston offered to drive her, but then a storm hit and they were stranded there with no phone signal, totally snowed in, so they had to settle in and make the most of it, which led to them getting closer which led to them having sex, there was nothing else to do.

read all about Preston trying to woo Lyric to stay married, they both loved the other but neither had said it out loud.

I loved this book it was easy to read and you just fall in love with Lyric and Preston.

Lyric is a wedding planner and her current clients are giving her a run for her money. When they don't show up for the rehearsal she and Preston stand in for them. HOwever the minister doesn't realize its not the real wedding and he actually marries them. Not able to do anything about it because of the wedding they push it to the back burner. Then a snow storm strands them at the place the reception was to be held and things heat up between them. Preston is curious as to why Lyric has hated him all these years and when she explains why he is stunned because he never did what she thinks he did. After the storm clears they learn that the groom and Bride to be aren't as happy as they were and the wedding is off. Will Lyric get stuck with bill for the wedding? Will they end their marriage? Who is out to keep them apart?

This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Lyric is a event planner, doing a wedding for 2 spoiled rich kids who a fantasy wedding in an ice garden in the mountains.
Preston is her brother's best friend, who had one night with her, took her virginity, decided brother Tenor would kill him and they shouldn't be together again. Rumors started about their hook up so Lyric changed colleges and blamed Preston.
Five years later: Oh no, Preston is Prissy on the groomsman list, the bridal couple are late for rehearsal, Preston and Lyric stand in for them, the ninety yr old priest marries them.
They both go to the place of the reception in the mountains without the other knowing. A blizzard converges. They are stuck in the mountains for a few days. Snowed in by themselves. disaster wedding, interfering sister, no nonsense judge and lots of emotions make a great read. You will love finding out what happens.

Lyric & Preston♡♡♡♡

Acknowledging Their True Feeling -
Lyric had lived her life since college not trusting anyone, after she thought Preston was the one who spread the rumour about her. However, when they meet again years later, Preston appears different to the person she thought he previously was and a mixup links them together. However, their insecurities and a saboteur, creates havoc on their lives that could thwart any chance they have of having a happy ending.

Sofia T. Summers is an amazing storyteller, who certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention, with a plot line that captivates you and leaves you wanting more. I urge you to carve out a few hours of relaxation time, get yourself a drink of choice and switch off all your phones, before you start reading this book.

Accidentally Married to Brother's Best Friend. This book was great! I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were amazing and they captured my heart. Lyric was hired to plan Chad and Bree's destination wedding. Little did she know that Preston was Chad's cousin. Preston is Lyric's enemy from the past and now she has to work with him at the wedding. Vail, Colorado is subject to a lot of snow in February in which you can easily get snowed in, and that's what happens to Lyric and Preston. Will this cancel the wedding or trap Lyric and Preston in the mountains? You must read to find out and read what else happens to Lyric and Preston that changes their lives forever. In Sofia T. Summers Accidentally Married to Brothers Best Friend, we meet Lyric and Preston. Life throws them together at 100 miles an hour at the church for the wedding rehearsal and the old priest actually marries them. Lyric is actually the wedding planner and Preston is the groom's cousin and Lyric's brother's best friend. The weather throws them a curveball and Lyric and Preston end up snowed in at the wedding celebration site, a big mansion in the mountains. There are a lot of questions to be answered if this relationship is going to make it. Will they finalize their divorce or do they have feelings for one another and will stay married ? What will they tell Tenor? (her brother) Will Preston get his sister under control?

Accidentally Married to Brother's Best Friend
By Sophia T Summers
Main Characters: Preston and Lyric
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
3 out of 5 stars
I couldn't quite get into this story. Found it hard to believe Preston as a lawyer would sign something without reading it. It was well written. Lyric had a crush on Preston since she was about 12 years old. Lyric runs into Preston at a wedding where she is the wedding planner. You won't believe how they ended up married. Somewhere there was a misunderstanding along with a little drama. There were funny parts and drama in a snowstorm and toss in some steamy parts. Loved the witty dialogue between these two.

A little bit of everything & lots of loving...
Destination wedding mountain venue, the bridezilla & groom don't make it for the rehearsal. The wedding planner & the attorney had a one night stand 5 years prior & get accidentally married at the rehearsal. He's happy, she's not. They get snowed in the power fails, lines are down & no cell connection, the likelihood of the wedding happening seems remote. They eat the wedding cake & drink champagne as they get cosy. Turns out the wedding's called off when the bride to be found her fiance with a stripper & fast forward a judge refuses to annul the accidental marriage. Perhaps destiny played a hand? I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Lyric had crushed on her brother’s best friend Preston when she was 12 and during college, they found themselves hanging out when her brother wasn’t around. They shared an evening together and of course one thing led to another. With Preston thinking of Lyric’s brother, he doesn’t go any further with their relationship. Now 5 years later they run into each other at a wedding where Lyric is the wedding planner. What will happen when vows are exchanged by accident?
I though Sofia did a wonderful job with the storyline, it was funny with drama and misunderstanding. I enjoyed all the characters and how they find their HEA.

Oh my GOSH this was terrible!

It was twice as long as it should have been because the writer repeated herself ad nauseam.

Grammatical, spelling, and any other type of errors you can think of abounded - when one character walked up to a front door and knocked, the person already INSIDE “entered”! …?

The characters are repeatedly described as intelligent but behave and speak like low level intelligence white trash characters who are trying really hard to sound like intelligent grownups and failing miserably. There’s just no way that the H is believable as a lawyer.

The sex scenes lacked connection to the point of being gross.

I was so incredibly bored that I was still forcing myself to read “just a little bit more” at 89%

Accidentally Married to Brother's Best Friend

It was a pretty good story with enough ups and downs to keep it interesting. However it needs editing. Pretty sure cleverer isn't a word. How about using more clever? The timeline says two different things. At the beginning she is a sophomore while he is a senior in college. That is a two year difference. Meanwhile throughout the rest of the book they keep talking about a four year difference between them. Near the end he talks about being almost thirty. However if u end you senior year at 22 and there has been a 5 year lapse of time until he sees her again, he's only 27. What twenty something year old wants to make themselves older than they are? Geez 30 borders on middle aged!

This rom com was an entertaining read. Lyric and Preston had several misunderstandings to overcome along with interference by someone else.

For a brother’s best friend story, it was refreshing that neither of them made his friendship with her brother be the central focus of why they couldn’t be together. It was mentioned just a couple times and wasn’t even one of the biggest hurdles they had in their relationship.

Both Lyric and Preston are smart, driven and successful characters. It was fun to see them navigate their second chance.

Lyric is an event planner who was on the home stretch of completing a destination wedding when everything that could possibly go wrong did. A snow storm, delayed flights, power outages, no bride and groom and you accidentally marry your ex from college who you hate for ruining your life over five years ago. Wow and to think that's just the beginning of this second chance/brother best friend romance that will keep you laughing, frustrated and at times wanting to shake a few people as you flip through the story waiting to see how it ends.

Learning to be honest

This is a story about 2 people who find their way back to each other after a one night stand. The plot was good and the characters were likeable. However, the author had to write every sex scene in detail, this was totally unnecessary and just page filler to draw the story out. The last few sex scenes I skipped. This story would have been a whole lot shorter if these two people had of had 2 conversations earlier in the book. This was also cheap page filler. Page filler is not a substitute for a well written story. Despite the page filler it was interesting . Ok read.

Overall this was a good quick read. While the title mentions the brother's best friend that was not really the main focus of this story. We find Lyric and Dean grew up together and when they are in college they realize that there is more between them. As always there is a great miscommunication that leads to them being separated for many years. As the story progress, we find them trapped in a snowstorm learning more about each other yet unwilling to take another chance. Sofia did a great job with the characters and the journey that they take.
