****A NOVELLA OF UNRELENTING HORROR APPROX. 16,000 WORDS**** Bo and Cherie are monsters. Two star-crossed lovers tossed together by fate ending in a brutal killing spree. It started with Cherie's family and now the two have gone cross-country killing as they go. So far, their tally is 11. Then, one night, they come across something very strange - a castle in the middle of nowhere. Needing shelter, food and to kill some more, the couple approach this strange, massive, building in the wilds of the panhandle of Texas. Inside are two siblings - a brother and a sister. Then the horror starts. The true terror begins. A novella of horror featuring torture and lots of blood, by the author of The Man From Taured, Black River, The Revisionists, Storyland and RIG. This is a story unlike any he has told before. You have been warned.
I was born in the fine year of 1971 in Park Ridge, IL. I am a life long Chicago resident and I love the city. I spent a few years in St. Louis, as well. I knew I wanted to write from the time I sat down at my mom's electric typewriter in the 3rd grade. Now I do write. I write freelance and articles for online news sources. I write horror, thrillers and detective novels. I also write non-fiction in true crime and history genres. I publish my fiction myself as an indie publisher and write and have found an audience for my work among ebook fans. I publish for Kindle, Nook and other tablets and devices at Smashwords.com. My non-fiction is usually published in print, but that may soon change as ebooks become more and more of the norm.
This was a short one hour read. I really need to get some sleep, so I picked this rather than starting the next Joey Hill novel.
Bo and Cherie are like a modern day Bonnie and Clyde. These young lovers start their killing spree with Cherie's family. From there, they just keep killing their way across the southwest. Bo is old enough to realize they are going to go down in a blaze of glory, but Cherie naively thinks they are going to get across the border and start a new life together. After killing 11 people, they have to be careful where they travel.
They come across an English castle in the Texas panhandle. It is so out of place that the naive Cherie must see it, well, and kill its inhabitants so she can live there.
The brother and sister they meet are not the cultured helpful people they pretend to be. Bo has a bad feeling but wants to make Cherie happy, so against his better judgement they agree to have dinner with the couple.
The next morning, Bo wakes up tied down to a chair in the company of Lily in her attic torture room, while Cherie wakes tied to a table in James' sterile basement torture chamber.
What happens when two sets of serial killers go head to head with each other? Because Bo and Cherie are not going down without a fight. Who is worse, Bo and Cherie or James and Lily?
