Vale Reverie
When Espan finds Luciana's crumpled note, moist from the early morning's mist in the mountains, his heart yearns for her. Luciana has vanished from the valley, and this time she is not to return. Espan vows to find her, for he has not told her that he loves her with all his soul.
Espan's quest to meet Luciana again takes him to the desert, where he discovers a truth that turns his world upside down.
Far away, Armelia's world is caught in a gale when her beloved is taken away from her forever by the war. She begins to see the same dream over and over again. Searching for meaning, Armelia finds herself in the land of sand.
When under the stars, Armelia pulls a chair at a desert restaurant beside a crestfallen Espan, they have not the tiniest inkling that the threads of fate and the chords of destiny have woven their stories together. Perhaps not all is lost, and everything is about to change in unimaginable ways.

I write mostly in black, when everything appears grey. Rarely, in blue - that's when it's all very ecstatic. Oh, and then there's lavender. That, let me keep a secret, for now!
Yes, that brings up the soul of the matter. ZeLé Mysteries happened in the July of 2007. That was when I became the very first fan, in the whole world, of Calino Zeder and Leon Karl Feran. And before I waved them bye, in the Arsenal Plot, I had begun another trip with them, in Exploded (April of 2008), for I couldn't stand parting with them. Sigh! I made an appearance as their author, in At the Coffee Table and the year was 2015. That was beautiful. I revelled in a reverie for a while that saw the light as Vale Reverie in December, 2020. I did not want it to end so there's one more book set in the Vale Reverie universe coming up. Also coming up is a book set in the ZeLé Mysteries universe and one more, set in three!
Stay tuned! I wish you a very nice time reading!

Vale Reverie completely caught me by surprise. I went into it knowing very little, and I'm genuinely glad I did because discovering this story as it unfolded made the experience even more special.
At its heart, this is a deeply emotional story about loss, grief, abuse, guilt and trauma, but there's also a surprising amount of warmth running through it. Themes of healing, self-discovery, forgiveness, self-love, redemption and found family give the story a hopeful side that balances all the darker moments.
The characters were easily my favourite part. I quickly became attached to Armelia and Espan, and their friendship was one of the highlights for me. There's something wonderfully natural about the way they connect, almost as if they've known each other for years. Their banter brought some much-needed lighter moments to an otherwise emotional story, and I couldn't help but root for them. Espan especially stole my heart. He is someone who simply wants to love and be loved rather than become the fighter circumstances expect him to be.
The story is told through three different perspectives, with Armelia, Espan and Luciana each bringing their own experiences and struggles to the narrative. I'll admit that I needed a little time to find my footing with the structure. The changes between POVs were slightly confusing at first, but once everything clicked, I really appreciated being able to experience the story from different sides. It gives the characters and their experiences much more depth.
There is also a strong element of mystery running through the story, and the twists kept catching me off guard. I enjoyed never being completely sure where the story was going, especially as seemingly separate pieces gradually began to connect.
But what really stayed with me was the philosophical side of the novel. Beneath the characters' personal journeys, there are plenty of ideas about life, connection, identity, healing and finding your own sense of self. These themes never felt like they were simply there to make the story seem deeper. They genuinely made me stop and think, and I found myself still reflecting on some of the ideas after finishing the book.
The writing deserves a special mention too. Jayanth's prose is lyrical and beautifully atmospheric, creating vivid imagery without losing sight of the characters and their emotions. There is a softness to some of the writing that makes the more painful moments hit even harder.
Verdict: A beautifully written and deeply emotional story about trauma, healing, love and finding yourself again. The unusual multi-POV structure takes a little getting used to, but the wonderful characters, unexpected twists and thoughtful philosophical themes make Vale Reverie a book that stayed with me long after I finished it.
A big thank you to T.Y. Jayanth for sending me an ebook copy of Vale Reverie. I really appreciate the opportunity to discover this beautiful story.

The story is imaginative and explores some powerful themes, including love, loss, grief, healing, self-discovery and found family. The author has created an ambitious world with interesting characters, and it’s clear that a great deal of thought has gone into both the plot and the deeper philosophical elements of the story.
I personally found it difficult to fully connect with the multiple points of view and, as a result, I struggled to become emotionally invested in the characters. While there were some surprising moments throughout, I never quite found myself fully immersed in the story.
That said, this is very much a case of personal preference rather than a reflection of the book itself. If you enjoy character-driven fantasy with emotional depth, philosophical themes and plenty of twists, I think Vale Reverie could be a great fit for you—even if it wasn’t the right one for me.

The story starts with Armelia and Espan, both lost going out in search of fulfilment. Both their paths merge at a point and their story starts to unravel hence.
The narrative style is not centred around a single character, it switches perspective between characters. This was a bit confusing at the beginning for an average reader like me. But I get the plus of it, that we get to think from perspective of each character in their shoes. So if you are anything like me, get to the part where both Armelia and Espan meets. The story certainly gets intresting from there.
My take away from the story was that, we are all part of something greater than ourselves. We are all interconnected and everything happens for a reason. We be ourselves and the rest will fall in place for us. Aint that comforting?
Happy reading!

This book explores some deeply emotional and intense themes, including love, loss, grief, abandonment, healing, and self-worth. At its heart, it’s a story about lost souls trying to find their way again.
The characters are interesting and thoughtfully developed, but personally, I struggled to connect with any of them. The writing style wasn’t quite a match for me, and I often found myself pulled out of the story. While the message behind the story is thoughtful and meaningful, some of the dialogue felt unnatural to me and occasionally took me out of the moment.
I appreciated how much the story focuses on the bigger picture, the idea that we are all connected, and that we’re each part of something greater than ourselves. There are some beautiful ideas woven throughout the book, even though the overall reading experience didn’t fully resonate with me.

What a beautifully delicate tale!
Filled with positive affirmations, motivation, empowerment and platonic love.
Follow Espan on his journey to find Luciana after she leaves without explanation or trace. He needs to find her and tell her how he feels.
He meets Armelia…. Who lost her beloved and is a turmoil of her own. Trying to figure her place & purpose in the world alone.
Together they try to find Luciana, going out to the desert and meeting some wonderful people along the way.
This is a gentle flowing read, which dips back & forth between past and present.
With deep soul searching, acceptance, self love and healing, it’s a wonderful experience to watch these characters grow and find peace.
I liked the plot and the main characters, they’re relatable with their experiences and feelings. The feeling of utter desolation, not knowing what to do, a loss of one’s self and that journey back to “you”.
A delightful read that will leave you feeling all warm & fuzzy!

Wow. Such a beautiful story that is very hard to summarise in few words.
T. Y. Jayanth takes us on a journey of human experience through three main characters POV's.
Their stories are that of loss, grief, abuse, attachment, guilt and violence, while also being full of hope, healing, self discovery, self development, found family and innocence and strength.
This story brought me tears, smiles, surprise and contemplation.
It took me a little bit to find my footing early in due to the unique multi-POV structure, but once I understood what was going on, it flowed seamlessly.

Wow I really liked this books!
First of all thank you to T. Y. Jayanth for sending me this arc.
I really enjoyed getting to know these characters and to know their story. I fell in love with Armelia.
I liked all the mystery surrounding the story and also the writing was really good. I felt the time glu while I was reading this book.
The side characters were also outstanding, I really liked Godolf and Jean (and Nell ofc). This book is both heartbreaking and heartwarming!

T.Y.’s lyrical prose was so profoundly beautiful. I thought Vale Reverie was engaging and very thought-provoking.
It’s a heart wrenching story of abandonment, abuse, fear, grief, guilt, and loss. Themes of forgiveness self love, found family, love, and redemption are the outcomes.
“Don’t shut yourself in. Step out. Let you be you. Let there be stormy nights and turbulent seas, but you are the lighthouse upon the island that needs nothing else but itself to be itself.”
Two strangers, heartbroken and distraught, meet by chance as they search for answers. Fate has plans for them. Plans that will change everything.
Espan, Armelia, and Luciana are the MCs. We see the world through their eyes—their own POV. Each character suffers from horrible loss and trauma.
I adored Espan and Armelia’s relationship. Their fast friendship was so special. You know how you meet someone and you feel like you’ve known them all your life? That’s Espan and Armelia. Their cute banter had me cracking up.
I truly enjoyed this story. The surprise twists , lush imagery, and philosophical messages still has me pondering about life. If you are ready for a change of pace or a book that will break you and put you back together then pick this one up.

3/5 ⭐
This book is about Armelia, Espen and Luciana. Three people are on very interesting paths. Armelia really helps Espen through a lot of troubles, and helps him find himself again.
If you enjoy a book with philosophical themes that has you guessing, this is for you.

This book is such a beautifully written read. As someone who doesn’t tend to read this kind of work I found myself getting very invested the further I got into the story.
The writing really pulled me in.
It wasn’t a fast paced read but that actually suited the story really well.

“Take all the time you need. Find yourself. Forgive yourself. Love yourself. And then, come back to us."
What a beautiful story! I simply fell in love with the poetic writing style and the philosophical elements of this story. It is written with multiple POV and changing timelines which can be confusing for some, but is written wonderfully in this case. The characters in this story had me smiling and swooning one minute and frowning and tearing up another. This story is absolutely beautiful and a must read for sure. SOME of my favorite quotes are below. I couldn't possibly list them all and risk spoiling the entire wonderful story.
✨️"The light is within you. Trust. Believe. It won't let you be in the dark for long.”
❤️“To love, unending!”
🌟"It's only our fault if we give in to our devils and don't let our angels shine."
Recommended to readers who enjoy a character driven fantasy with philosophical undertones and powerful, relatable language.

A character driven, philosophical novel exploring profound themes of love, grief, loss and self discovery.
The introspective prose and atmospheric writing gave its philosophical themes an emotional resonance.
Despite it being a multiple POV novel which I don’t usually prefer, I still found myself connecting with the characters in this book.
Overall a beautiful story of love, loss and the unexpected way our lives can intertwined.

This book completely captivated me. I went in knowing absolutely nothing, and I'm so glad I did. I quickly fell in love with the characters, especially Armelia and Espan. Armelia's parents were so warm-hearted, and Espan deserved so much better when all he wanted was to be a lover boy, not a fighter. I also loved the friendship between Armelia and Espan, while Lucianna was a love hate situation.
The plot twists kept surprising me, but my favorite part was the philosophy woven throughout the story. It added so much depth and left me with a lot to think about. My only issue was the ending. It was beautiful in its own way, but after everything that happened, part of me felt like he should have kicked her to the curb. Then again, she was the love of his life. Overall, this was a book I became completely obsessed with and won't be forgetting anytime soon.
