Sometimes happily ever after isn’t all it’s cracked up to be…

Theo Fitzcharles thought he’d put the worst behind him when he became King of Thalania and named his two lovers, Meg Sanders and Galen Mikos, as his Consorts. Unfortunately, the realities of running a country have worn on all of them, individually and as a triad. Theo has every intention of making things right, but first he has to deal with an old enemy who’s closer than anyone could have dreamed.

Meg never wanted to be a princess.

Now that Meg’s one of two Consorts to the King of Thalania, every time she turns around, she’s making mistakes and struggling not to screw up the careful political maneuvering required for her new position. But her struggles with the new position are the least of her worries she’s attacked in the palace.

Now her life’s in danger.

Theo, Galen, and Meg must race to identify her attacker and neutralize them before they can make another attempt to hurt her. There’s plenty of people who want Meg out of the palace—and at least one isn’t picky about whether she’s breathing or not when she goes.

prolly my least fav from the series. mostly coz it’s set in the ‘palace’ and has shit like ‘consort’ ‘lady’ ‘lord’ and i just don’t vibe with that. don’t like palace / kingdom setting romance, never did, and loathed politics, those things spoiled the fun this book could’ve been

ngl i skimmed most of the smut, not coz it was bad, although the too many ‘baby’s in a chapter were getting old & cringey, but i was just more interested in reading about the real relationship progress rather than non ending threesomes

overall this book was —wouldnt say a good conclusion of the series cuz i wanted smth different than this— enjoyable, i’m real sad TheoMeGalen’s story’s over now. i liked this book for them only. just wished wed gotten more domestic scenes rather than boring politics

ps. i wanted scenes of them w/ their kid

the series overall : really addictive binge-able shit. if u’re in a mood for some mmf (or is it mfm?) that is actually mmf, with the boys into each other as well, then this one’s one of the good one i’ve read

This series was so addictively binge-able! I flew through this entire series and never wanted to put it down. While I still enjoyed this conclusion, this last book was my least favorite of the series.
This still had a lot of the elements I loved from the first 2 books - impeccably written sex scenes, dynamic characters, relatable themes in a otherwise unbelievable plot. However this book was oddly paced and wrapped up... in a strange way.
This book is essentially what comes after the Happily Ever After. Which for me personally, is just not as interesting as the build up. While the trio was having difficulties, there was the will-they-won't-they tension that I crave in romance. Which meant I just wasn't as invested in the relationship. Also the big bad in here wasn't explored quite enough and the conclusion was so weirdly paced and strange!
I did like the addition of the new characters and I am planning to pick up the novella that comes after this following 2 of the new side characters!
Overall this was a really fun series. If you're looking for a compulsively readable, steamy AF romance with political intrigue, princes, and bodyguards - check this out!

I don't know how I stumbled upon this book - and I had no idea it's a trilogy.
The first one is a short - novella - a couple of chapters. Hot one!
The second and third were ok, a little bit longer than the novella,. fun read.

4+⭐

I just finished both book 2 and this one, so I'm going to copy and paste my comment...
Katee always delivers what she promises.
Every one of her books is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
She gives you a filthy perfect little place to escape for the day.
I think I might never re-read these, but I'm ready to read at least once every single one of her stories.

This triad was refreshing, the MCs were all strong minded but likeable.

Only one little issue: the pov.
In this story the author decided to use multiple POVs, but without any warning whatsoever to make you understand where we are at. That was a bit disorienting in stone points, especially because her books are really fast reads and you don't get to enter in the souls of the MCs so much as to know instantly who it is. This problem was mostly solved for me reading book 3, because I got more accustomed to the characters in a very brief time.

Ending point: I need more triads, more harems. I'm shameless, but until everything is closed inside my kindle and no one knows what I'm reading it's okay. 😆

I’m not sure what I expected out of Theirs Ever After to be honest but I know I got way more. What I mean to say is that I expected this to just be a progression into their lives, but it turned out to be even more growth and excitement and I’m very pleased over that. A poly relationship takes patience and trust and an open-mind at all times and these three have all of that in spades and then some! I enjoyed the suspense behind their story a great deal as well. It wasn’t just there, it made sense. It enhanced their story and made it that much more intriguing and captivating. I almost went back and binge read their entire journey when I was about 30% in or so but I’ll wait for some time to pass before I do that. But it will happen because these three were fascinating and their story was a roller-coaster of good, bad, and everything in between. The best kind of journeys you can read about!

What a nicely packaged end to the series. Okay so maybe it went on a little too long but it fleshed out nicely and it ended on a sweet note.

They've managed to get Theo out of exile and he's now back in his rightful place as the new King of Thalania but he's made more than a few waves by naming both Galen and Meg as his official consorts. Not only is he the first royal to have more than one consort but one of them is the son of a traitor and the other is a foreign woman which hasn't gone down well with the aristocratic families who were all ready to make a grab for power of their own through marriage to the king. All three of them are trying to come to terms with their new positions and the duties that are required of them but when Meg is attacked within the palace they realise they have dangerous enemies who will stop at nothing to get her out of their way.

I really enjoyed the previous books in this series but was excited to see how this triad would settle in to life in the palace. Theo was trained his whole life to become king so although he never wanted to take the role on so young he knew exactly what he was getting into. For Meg and Galen it is an even bigger adjustment, they suddenly have all this additional pressure on them and they're both struggling to deal with everything. It's a difficult time for all three of them, their relationship is still fairly new so all this extra stress is making life so much harder, especially when Theo seems to be keeping the others at a distance. Meg in particular is kept on the outside, Theo and Galen have been a team for years so they are used to working together but while they both try to keep Meg safe they do it by keeping her in the dark about what is really happening which is incredibly frustrating for her.

There was a lot of frustration in this story, although they all love each other there were times when I found the secretive behaviour really irritating and I was glad when Meg stood up for herself and told them if she wasn't going to be part of the team then there was no point in her being there at all. It's understandable that it would take them all time to settle into their relationship and figure out the best way to make things work but they are only going to be able to do that if they communicate with each other and I now feel that they're on the right track.

This was actually a great conclusion to their story, it had all the heat of the previous stories, plenty of action and it was nice to see Meg starting to find a place for herself in her new home. I'm also really happy that we're going to get the chance to see Noemi and Issac's story in Their Second Chance, an audiobook novella that you can listen to for free on the Read Me Romance podcast starting on the 10th of December.

I have been looking forward to getting my hands on this book since I finished the first two in the series, I needed to know what would happen with Theo, Galen, and Meg now that they were back in Thalania and Theo was King of his country. I have to say that this book had me on the edge of my seat throughout the majority of it. There was so much going on between the sexy times and the attempts on Megs life I just didn't know what would happen next.

Being Consort to the King was an adjustment for both Meg and Galen, as well as the people of Thalania and lets just say that there were some that were not to happy with the arrangement. This added to the drama or suspense of the story and boy was it good because it really kept you guessing as to whom was involved other than one major player which we learn about in the previous book.

This series was not only a great romantic suspense but it was sexy as hell. Seriously I'm talking about keeping ice water handy to cool off with hot! Not only are there sexy times with all three but there are plenty of times where just two of them would pair off (MF and MM). I recommend this book but only if you read the first two books in the series first, otherwise you will be lost and not understand the full story and that would be a real shame because it's a good one. Theirs for the Night is currently free so grab it and start there, you won't be disappointed. Happy Reading!!!

I really didn't care about the plot of this one. I just thought it was trying really hard to be way too political but really didn't have enough substance to make it work. Also, all of the relationship problems literally could have been solved in the first ten pages if they actually talked to each other. They knew they had problems but kept avoiding talking which was so frustrating. Then, when they finally did talk, they just forgave each other and didn't seem to actually have any intention on changing their behavior. It was just too easy to just forgive with a sorry and then moved on. Definitely my least favorite in the series. I'm let down.

This book wrapped up their story really well, and I’m glad that I made it all the way through. They went through their trials, but they all got the happy ending they deserved. So happy for the trio in this series. This book was definitely a lot more focused on the plot than the smut than the others, which I am not complaining about in the slightest. The only thing that could’ve made the book better, the same with most Katee books, it just needed to be longer.

I think this was a really satisfying conclusion for Theo, Galen, and Meg! We have a lot more character work and relationship dynamics here since our trio is back in Thalania and feeling the pressure of being king/consorts. Now that they’ve chosen this path, they have to get back to the basics of their dynamic and back to the open and honest communication needed to maintain a relationship like theirs. It makes sense that they would be struggling, and I liked that by the end they knew there was still more work to be done, and are committed now more than ever. I think Katee Robert did a great job of transitioning the trio from a really physical connection to a deeper emotional one. I feel like they all compliment each other well and I could really feel the love and devotion they have for each other. Now on to Cami’s book!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. The previous two books in this series were three star reads for me. Enjoyable, but not really anything special.

So here’s the thing – while I recognized that Theirs Ever After had a little more intrigue and plot than the previous books, which certainly made it more enjoyable for me, I don’t think that’s what actually raised the rating for me.

I don’t really know how or why, but I found myself kind of sad to leave this couple in the third book. I was almost feeling nostalgic, which is weird considering this isn’t an incredibly emotional book series. By this book, we’ve followed these characters through what has objectively been a long journey, but I think what made me realize I would miss this series is the characterization that Katee Robert added in this book.

While Katee added in more plot and political machinations, that was still obviously not the focus of the book. More attention was given to the characters themselves: how they fit together, what they want in life, and how they adapt and overcome expectations to carve out happiness for themselves in unexpected circumstances.

A lot of the conflict in this book came from the tension between what the characters wanted for themselves and what was expected from them, and the slow realization that the only way they’ll be happy and successful is if they compromise. In their responsibilities, and in their relationship.

Anyway, that was a kind of sappy review for a book that really wasn’t that sappy, but was an obvious step up in writing style and characterization.

Before this book I would have been a series that I would have recommended, but only after I’d gone through a long list of others. After Theirs Ever After, I think the series has climbed up a bit on my list of reverse harem recommendations.

It might not be one of my favourite series, but this series entertained me and kept me wanting to find where all of this would end.

The end for our trio seemed quite fitting and I might just continue the series and see about the others too.

Theo, Galen, and Meg

Theirs Ever After picks up 6 months after Forever Theirs.

By the end of their wild adventure, they found Theo’s mother’s birth certificate, proving her first marriage invalid (as she was underage) and her second marriage to Theo’s late father legitimate. Thus restoring Theo as heir apparent and — as soon as a coronation can be arranged — King of Thalania.

Thinking he must marry and produce heirs, Theo tried to make a noble gesture sending Meg home to NY and Galen with her. Luckily, they refused to be pushed aside, arriving just in time to join Theo as he confronts the seven families. In a bold move, Theo uses an old precedent to name both Meg and Galen his Royal Consorts.

Now 6 months after Theo has returned to Thalania, the triad is stressed to its limits. Theo is still trying to find his footing and is working too hard. Galen is frustrated being Consort when his and Theo’s plans all along were for him to be Theo’s head of security. And Meg is plain out of her element, not to mention, someone wants her dead.

All in all, what comes after the “Happily Ever After” in faerie tales.

****

Beautiful scene where the three of them return to Galen’s home in Greece and Theo & Galen submit to Meg to atone for keeping her out of the loop. The moment Meg punishes Theo like he first punished her, by making him stand back and watch while she and Galen make love. Theo finally realizes what his life would have been like if they had returned to NY without him.

Longish quote....

It’s been a few months since Theo decided to ignore tradition and did what he had to to stay together with the loves of his life, but all is not well in paradise. As is to be expected with all the pressure that comes with ruling a kingdom while being distinctly non-traditional. Tensions are high and they’re not out of the woods yet in terms of being safe from their enemies. Dirty politics and underhanded scheming is afoot, and our three have to navigate it all while trying to keep their unconventional relationship afloat.

The author doesn’t waste much time in creating unnecessary miscommunication between the three, even through their trying times, and all the conflict is essential, and mostly external. The action and conspiracy part of the story is left a bit superficial and far too easily handled, which I understand is because this story isn’t about all that. Though it did leave me feeling that these last 2 books could’ve been written as one big book instead. Anyhow, it is still a quick, snappy read and comes with all the yummy hotness you’d want from it. Theo remains my favorite and the most complex character of the three, even as the relationship between the triad at no point feels imbalanced or unbelievable.

This was such a satisfying ending! When I picked up Theirs for the Night for the weekend smuthathon a few weeks ago, I couldn't even imagine how much I would end up loving this series. Honestly, I bought Their Second Chance, after telling myself I didn't think I would, as well as the first book in the Wicked Villians as soon as I was done.

Now, did I feel that this book was a little longer than necessary? Possibly. There was a lot of talk about them needing to have a talk that took half of the book and an overnight trip to happen. And Meg repeatedly talked about Galen's scars/the contrast between Galen's scars and Theo's unmarked body every five pages which made me roll my eyes once or twice.

But this was still highly enjoyable and everything I wanted. We got a glimpse into daily life at the palace with Galen and Meg as Consorts while Theo sorts out the kingdom as King, growth in their dynamic as they try to land on even footing and once again we get top-tier smut with some light D/S dynamics.

I definitely plan to read more from Katee Robert in the future and will more than likely reread these in the future.

THEIRS EVER AFTER by Katee Robert is book Three in The Thalanian Dynasty series. This continues the story of Meg Sanders, Galen Mikos and Theo Fitzcharles.
Theo is the King of Thalania and now has taken that position, but with it has brought change to his relationship with Glaen and Meg. Theo is constantly busy with work which is adding to the strain of their relationship. Galen job has changed from head of security to a title of Consort which has put him doing social functions that he isn't eager for. Meg too is having issue being a Consort for Theo and how their relationship is going. When Meg life is again put in danger it brings them all back together to look at where their lives has been headed these last few months.
Ms. Roberts brings the heat with her books and this one was no different...Loved their story.

I stayed up until 1 AM two nights in a row because I was so consumed with this series, and I think the third book is my favorite - four and a half stars from me!

There is more action (with danger lurking trying to undermine the King - shit gets craaazy in Thelania) than I expected in the third book in a series, but there is also great steam, phenomenal character development, and nuanced conversations where you get to see Theo, Galen, and Meg really come to terms with how they handle communication and their relationship in their new day-to-day lives.

I thought I knew where one of the storylines was going and was shocked when there was a twist thrown in, and by the time I got to the epilogue I was tearing up!

I really enjoyed this series and would highly recommend them!

I loved this series. This had the perfect balance of romance and adventure. Meg is much less whiney, which I was glad to see. And surprisingly I didn't see the twist coming. But, despite the romance, I wish it was just as dirty as the first book. That's what really hooked me into this series.

Overall I really like the whole world she created. And I'm excited that she wrote bonus content for the kindle box set that fits into the whole universe.

My only criticism is that it feels like this series didn't have a copy editor. My inner editor wanted to fix the little mistakes I came across. But it wasn't enough to make me but the books down.

If you are a fan of the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy, or romance that is laced with complicated relationships, protective love, impossible odds, but full of love and passion with a twist (MMF romance), this series may be for you.
This was my first dive into the Smut category of Romance and to begin with, it was just about me and a friend squealing about it BUT it turned into an entertaining and quick read that had a lot of the romance tropes that many people gravitate towards. Count me a new fan of Katee Robert and am looking forward to reading her twisted tales series about Disney Villains & Heroes!

This was still fantastic, but I really wanted more of their relationship when they were HAPPY. We so rarely get that in romance novels -- I want to see the romance actually LINGER instead of just be challenged over and over. I also wish we could have seen Meg enjoying being royalty for even a little bit? Why doesn't she revel in nice clothes, or love being able to do things for people? Instead, she just whines. A lot.

I still recommend this little duology, because it is a lot of fun! Just know going in there's hardly any REAL emotional connection until the end. Galen and Theo and Meg forever!!!
