The book would be better titled “The Fashion Designer Directory”. It serves as a useful tool for gaining a surface-level understanding of the key players in the luxury fashion industry, offering brief overviews of prominent designers and their careers.

For readers with a deeper knowledge of fashion design or those looking for more technical insights and details on the design process, it may fall short.

The above is not to say that the ‘directory’ part of the title is lost on me, and I understand it’s meant to offer a high-level reference, the book focuses primarily on designers’ careers rather than the technicalities of their craft. For those seeking a deeper understanding of fashion design, this may feel somewhat lacking.
