Jesus’ last words to His Church were, “Go, make disciples,” (Matt 28:19). This book is about how to do what He asked. Dan and Justin provide practical insights for success in ministry, borrowing from the worlds of business and education, years of experience in a variety of roles and settings, and timeless principles taught by the Lord Himself. So, what are you waiting for? Are you ready to start getting results in ministry? Do you want to help reverse the trend of disaffiliation from the Catholic Church? Have you heard God’s call to make Him known? Then read this book and Go! Make Disciples.
This book is a great, straightforward, easy to understand, and easy to follow manual for those who want to start a new ministry. I think every parish should have a few in their library to give to those wanting to start a new ministry. My only concern is that some of the illustrations were hard to read, but that’s the printer’s fault, besides the book explains to you the illustration so no information is lost. The digital version of this book should not have that problem. Go! Make Disciples is also motivating and gives you the courage to continue working on the ministry you want to initiate. I highly recommend it.
This book (well-written) provides a clear roadmap for ministry and discipleship. It gives a 30,000 foot view to what many of us do. Thus, it provides fresh insight, and reminds us what we may have forgotten along the way. By the last page, you are ready to go forward: both with the necessary tools, and renewed excitement.
