Let the church say amen 🙏🏽😩😩 This was such a good story about a Slow Love… one that’s brewed like the richest coffee beans! I LOVED this story!!! I’ve been sitting on this goldmine for MONTHS! Thanks for helping me finally pull the trigger (you know who you are)!!
Love Me Slow picked right on up where Suck me Slow left off and let me just say the drama did not wait. Queenie’s secret was exposed and sis was on my bad side for like the first 20% of the book. Although this is one of my favorite trope’s to read, I will never understand how a woman can KNOWINGLY keep this type of secret!! Queenie, sis!!! 🗣️WHAT WAS THE REASON?!? Because you surely didn’t have a good one! Cam was simpin hard because he forgave Queenie way too easily but it was necessary because when Sabrina showed her triflin tail back up on the scene Queenie and Cam needed to be a united front! I absolutely LOVED Cammie and Mama Queen! They added the comedic relief needed in this story! CJ…… Mel why?! Why did you have to do me like that?! Huh?! 😭😭 This was such an awesome read and you really aren’t living if it’s not on your TBR list! Add it ASAP!!!

Love Me Slow was a great follow up to Suck Me Slow. We get to see Cameron's reaction when he finds out Queenie had his baby and didn't tell him. I love that the author didn't spend the entire book on that conflict. It happened, Cameron confronted Queenie about, they resolved the issue, and were able to move forward with their relationship. I just hate Cameron ended up being the father of Sabrina's baby. I just knew that wasn't going to be his kid. And, when Sabrina died in that car accident, you could've knocked me over with a feather honey because, I did not see that coming. But, hey, God don't like ugly. Yes, Sabrina, I'm talking to you. Love Me Slow was a great end to these character's story.

Finally Love
Whew there was a lot going on!
Well we finally got an explanation from Queenie for her foolishness...The truth is she was just being selfish. Cam was enamored with her, so the fear of rejection and whatever other nonsense she was justifying herself with was unfounded. Cam was beyond hurt, but he still saw his forever with Queenie. Life is moving in the right direction when Sabrina's bird self throws everything for a loop. I didn't understand why she thought trapping a man that could not stand her was going to work out in her favor. Like girl bffr😒
Cam, I loved his energy. The BDE was present and the way he cared for his children and Queenie was everything. Sabrina's situation was predictable, but how it impacted baby CJ was not. He didn't deserve that at all.
Queenie really put her ego aside and was a real rider for Cam. I wanted just a little more love between them. I enjoyed this book and I feel like Avery needs his own book.

Queen handled everything that was thrown her way in a way that most women wouldn’t. I bow to her for that. Sabrina did wayyyyy to much in this book. But again I loved the way that Queen loved all the kids that same way no matter the issue that came up. I loved the new/old found love that Queen and Cameron had and continue to grow through everything.

Beautiful!!!
I have never had a real crush on the heroine of a story but Queenie is definitely one of a kind. Her energy, kindness, confidence, fun loving nature, maturity, just everything. She is probably the most deserving book babe I've ever read about. This was a beautiful wrap up to an already amazing story. I would definitely read more about this family.

Great conclusion!! Queenie was definitely a Queen. I love how she took Cj under her wing and just loved him. I like how Queenie and Cameron got it together pretty quickly without dragging it out. Great story and happy ending.

This Love
Although I was so mad with Queenie for not telling Cameron about his daughter, I'm glad she didn't try to fight him to see her. I still don't understand how she talked herself into thinking that he'd not want the baby, once she found out she was pregnant. He all but told her he loved her after their vacation fling, so her line of thinking baffled me. I love that her brother, Avery, didn't hold back by telling her she needed to tell that man about his kid. The love and support that her brother and mom gave her though was so beautiful. Even in her stubbornness, she had their love. I'm glad that she finally just let her guard down and let Cameron fully into her heart. He just wanted to love her and their daughter and she saw the genuine, good hearted man he was and I'm glad.
Cameron was a man after my own heart. I don't even want to imagine the hurt he felt knowing he'd missed almost 2 years of his daughters life, yet I'm glad he dove right in and Cammi, his name sake, loved him as if he'd been in her life from birth. I was beyond furious with him for having that slip up with his ex, Sabrina. I thought he'd messed with her with a sober mind, so to find out he was beyond drunk and she took that as prime time to get at him, kind of eased the anger of the situation. This chick was super grimy. Who pokes holes to trap a man who clearly wants nothing to do with you, in hopes that a baby will make him magically want to be a family with you🤨; just delusional 🤦🏾♀️. I felt no remorse or sadness for Sabrina. I'll just say that.
I love that even though the situation was rather bizarre, Queenie loved CJ, the baby Cameron and Sabrina made, as her own. She loved him with as much fierceness as she did her own daughter. I'm glad she head a level head when it came to Sabrina bc this whole situation could've been much worse had she given her another beat down. I also like how Cameron listened to Queenie when she told him about how Sabrina was moving. The open communication Cameron and Queenie has was endearing to read; it definitely made this story that much more sweet.
Again, another short story, yet full all in the same. I hope this isn't the last we see of this new bunch.

Queenie has been back home for two yrs from a trip of a lifetime & she has yet to been able to forget about it or Cameron considering the souvenir she brought home. Queenie is still somewhat in shock, but not that shocked because she was doing everything with Cam but praying. Queenie thinks that she is in the clear, so to speak until she's minding her business in the store in SC & she hears her whole government name.
Cameron has came to SC for a job & he's brought Sam & Tracey with him. Queenie has been on his mind HEAVY & he's hating that he's yet to run into her. Little does he know that this little shopping trip that Tracey has dragged him on is not for nothing. After catching up & flirting with Queenie, he can't help but notice how standoffish she is. He's damn near hoping & praying that a man ain't about to pop out of nowhere. But not only does a man pop out of nowhere, someone that Cam should know but doesn't is accompanied by him.
I was reading the first chapter barely breathing because I could NOT believe Queenie 😩🙄 I was so fucking disappointed in her & even more disappointed that she had the NERVE to spend about 5 mins flirting with Cameron! I loved how easily Cameron & Queenie fell back into their comfortability with each other. Her mama was too fucking much for me 😂 likeeeee ma'am am I your child, or him ? Sabrina was still with that damn bullshit. I hated how her story ended. I wish she had the opportunity to grow. I loved how Cam was on his GME, especially when Queenie had an attitude about the whole Sabrina situation & he squashed that shit. I was just so invested & hated how soon it ended, but so happy to see Cam & Queenie living & loving their best life 🥰

Really shocked/sadden by this book series.
I have read several books from this author and most are a favorite of mine. I usually recommend her books, but this was a big NO for me. One major issue was all the random commas! I swear I was pausing in places I didn't see necessary and I had to look up the comma rule just to make sure I wasn't trippin. After a while I just started ignoring them but it was throwing off the flow and I tried to power through. Also I struggle with the whole hidden baby theme, but I figured she would be the one to do it justice and was sadly mistaken. I can usually get over it if she tried to tell him but someone stood in her way or if they had a really bad fall out before it happened, but she just choose not to tell him for no reason at all. Then she tried to turn it around and say she was scared, but he gave her no reason to feel like he wouldn't step up so I couldn't buy that narrative. That wasn't even my biggest issue with this book. All of book one he was swearing up and down he hated Sabrina and all of a sudden she is the main focus of the second half of book two??? By then I started skimming until the end. Drama can be written in in may different ways, but that part of the story took its stars for me. Glad it worked in their favor in the end, but I couldn't get into either character by then. If you felt like I did please check out Quarantine Love or The Love Spectrum. Those are the two titles I feel really show her writing skills, and I hope this isn't the way she will continue to bless us with her work.

This is a very fast read for me with all of the drama involved! This one made me realize that maybe I like drama in books, after all. Cameron had a lot of shit going on here and I appreciate how Queenie was very open-minded and supported him along the way. The characters here all felt like real people and I was genuinely invested with what's going on in their lives. At first, I was confused on why we have Sabrina's POV in here but I appreciate the drama and additional perspective it offered to the story. The babies in here are also cute and adorable!
Though, there's two situation in here where I'm kind of side-eyeing Cameron. He's a good father in this book, but I can't say the same to him as a partner, and that's my hot take. This was supposed to be a 3 star read or lower at first because I can't support that kind of thinking and behavior from our hero, but the drama was so good and compelling I had to give another star just for it.

Love Me Slow came back swinging with accountability, growth and grown love energy. Finding out you’re pregnant after leaving paradise, carrying that secret for years and then colliding with the very man you ran from!! 😳 That tension was thick. Queenie had me feeling a way because I understood not wanting a long distance anything but hiding a child is selfish period. That truth sat heavy and I loved that the story didn’t try to soften it or excuse it. Cam, Avery and their mom gave her the business about her decision!
What made this hit was the evolution. Cameron had every reason to walk away, yet he chose to stay, to listen, to unpack the mess instead of running from it. Both of them had secrets. Both of them made mistakes. Watching them confront the hurt, own their wrongs and still choose each other felt real and earned. Their love for each other and their family is what got them through the chaos in their lives. This wasn’t rushed forgiveness or fairy tale healing it was slow, intentional love with bruises still showing. Messy, emotional and satisfying in the best way.

TUR-BLE!
I almost said FTS and returned this book, but I kept pushing through it so I could be done with it TONIGHT! This was a mess, and I can't believe THIS AUTHOR wrote it. I'm so disappointed.
I couldn't believe all of the dumb shit that was happening in this book. Cameron is an idiot times 1000! I didn't feel sorry for him at all. He acted like he didn't know how to use common ass sense unless Queenie gave him instructions. Just making dumb ass decisions and only thinking with his little head, with his lame ass. Dude stayed horny, and it caught up with him too.
And speaking of Queenie, she was embarrassing. She was wrong as hell but constantly tried to justify her decision. Even went so far as to compare her shit to Sabrina's. Why anyone with a brain would want to compare anything they do with the likes of Sabrina is beyond me, but that's the type of shit this book gave.

What a ride...what a journey...
Of course the first book left us with our mouths open wondering how things would go in part 2. The author did not disappoint in giving us more of the combustible chemistry between Cameron and Queenie. Definitely forgiveness played a significant role in their relationship. My concern was the constant invasion of Sabrina. I was over her in book 1 and here she comes still wrecking havoc. I thought her actions were extreme, darn near psychotic and I hate a child was impacted. Sigh...nevertheless I am grateful for this read and looking forward to reading more from this author. Oh...sidenote, I definitely enjoyed all the location references since my home is in lowcountry of South Carolina...Roper Hospital, Cooper River Bridge, North Charleston...now I want to go home to SC.

My concern was the constant invasion of Sabrina. I was over her in book 1 and here she comes still wrecking havoc. I thought her actions were extreme, darn near psychotic and I hate a child was impacted. Sigh...nevertheless I am grateful for this read and looking forward to reading more from this author. Oh...sidenote, I definitely enjoyed all the location references since my home is in lowcountry of South Carolina...Roper Hospital, Cooper River Bridge, North Charleston...now I want to go home to SC.

Good followup to what happens when vacation is over and life is staring you in the face.
Cam and Queen have to deal with the consequences of their vacation fling, which turns out to be a lot. It was not easy because of secrets and one delusional person. The secrets proved to be easier to overcome, but unfortunately Sabrina was in no way successful at keeping them apart.
Fear and rejection kept them both from making their feelings known while in Montego Bay but was willing to lay their cards on the table and continue what they started while on vacation.
The way their story started was unconventional, may have had some surprises, but their time together allowed their love to slowly soak into their hearts and cement their bond and grow a beautiful family.
Mama Queen was back and kept the laughs and love coming.

Good Stuff
The writer gives is a really good story,but at the beginning of falls a lottle.flat because we are getting a tad bit of chaos. The first few chapters you feel as if the writer has given us the feel of we are just dropping in the middle of a scene.The stories progression is steady and the flows is easy. I was refreshing to have a couple ,that's about what's going on in their relationship and not other woman drama.One of my dings is that we are never introduced to Avery and Astrid's little.one ,not even at the end.We are also not treated to just a little bit of the inner workings of this couple.I think that's a missed opportunity. Overall this was a very good story,with some very funny moments.

That damn Sabrina just trifling everything that she did was bitter baby mama antics. Crazy that her ass regretted having a baby after her plan failed thinking she would have a better life with a baby by someone who was doing well for himself and was an all around great man. I was waiting for some other bad to happen to Sabrina because she was working my nerves. Sad that baby had the card he was dealt behind her stupid mistakes. However with his father and Queenie his life seems to be going just fine esp being an amputee Queenies mom was able to teach and show him so that he could move around normally.
Queenie mom is no one to be played with straight thug lol.. I love how Cameron forgave Queen for hiding she had his baby but in the end everything worked out for the better.

Worth the wait...
I think I can honestly say that this book was almost better than the first! God bless Cameron and his sweet love for Queenie! I'm glad they found their way back to each other. Their connection may have not been ideal, but it worked out perfectly for them. One time for the plus sized girls - we deserve real love too! My heart broke for Sabrina, even with as low down as she was. She ruined her relationship with Tracey, she couldn't get right with Cam & Queenie and she struggled. I hate how her story ended... This story, just like all of Mel Dau's books, kept me involved in every single page. I can't wait to read another one of her masterpieces...

Man oh man it felt good to see Cameron and Queentesa reconnect again although it was a little awkward on what Cameron had to find out. But once they got over that, I loved how they were able to gradually get back to how they were in Montego Bay. Now Sabrina is (was) a hand full and it was truly sad to see how her actions played a part in her hurting her a son in a major way. I loved the moment where Queentesa checked Cameron about her paying her respects to a dead woman. Book 1 (Suck Me Slow) gave you sexual high while this book (Love Me Slow) gave me progressing in love that was already between 2 people.

Process of Love
Enjoyed the process of love with this book . Great story line .
I do believe if we trust the process of love and take things slow. We truly find true love. Even with the challenges they faced, to be honest many wouldn’t have stayed or trust the process of love. I don’t think we truly take the time when it comes with package deals, they may have taking place before or after a relationship starts. We can say that many would say, that there no way she seen to be that perfect woman to handle all that was thrown at her. It would have been nice to read about some of the challenges they went through in the last five years .

I love this novella
Mel Dau did it again in book two of this series!! This novella closed the series out with a lot of love, spice and drama!!
We pick up the story 2 years after the vacation fling, with Queenie and Cam running into each other again and her secret being revealed. The drama and love that happened after that revelation made my hurt smile! I loved reading about how couples navigate life when everything is thrown at them. Of course we all know in the end love wins but getting to the end is what makes me enjoy reading.

Queenie, got off so easy! I just knew for sure that Cameron was going to cut up after learning about Cammi! Glad they were able to get back on track, and build their family. I don't think I have ever hated a character before, but Sabrina can be the first! She was pathetic and triffling! I wanted Queenie to beat that ass! My heart broke for Cameron and Queenie, after they learned of Sabrina's neglect. Happy that CJ was able to recover, and thrive after all that he had been through. Great wrap up story. 👍👍👍

This book ended well💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽. I am happy these two moved past vacation situationship to actual relationship. Cam was an awesome and loving dad. Queenie was a great mom. I loved the support she had from her brother and mother. Sabrina🤦🏽♀️. What a trifling delusional woman. Like, it blows my mind that there are women out here just like her. So sad.
