River Allen I’m a modern day nomad, a drifter if you will. I've been on my own since I was eighteen, wandering from town to town with my trusty guitar and singing to get by. This type of life isn't for everyone, but it's all I've ever known. It's a pretty sweet gig. The downside is spending the holidays alone. Well, this Christmas, I refuse to let the season get me down. I’m headed for the Big Apple, where I’ll greet the New Year with the ball drop. However, destiny has other plans. When I break down in Sweetville, I end up stranded for Christmas. The residents of the quaint town welcome me with open arms, and I discover creating roots doesn't have to be scary. Especially when Max Clark comes to my rescue and makes it clear I'm not leaving. Max Clark What I want for Christmas is something I doubt even Santa can accomplish. My life is great, but it's missing the woman to make it complete. I'm a small town guy with simple needs, but this sleeping alone night after night, is getting old. That's why I toss a quarter into the wishing well, asking for a little Christmas miracle. Of course, I feel like an idiot believing in such things, but it can't hurt. Imagine my surprise when hours later, I get the call that changes everything. River Allen comes barging into my life, wanting my help to leave town. I'll give her help all right, by making her my wife.
Most days you can find Pixie running around trying to juggle 100 hats...one of which is Author. BTW, She still can't believe that's what she gets to call herself one. What started out as a passion for book blogging turned into publishing her very first novella...Sealed With A Kiss.
Pixie who is part of the LGBT Community, writes MF, FF. & MM stories that are sexy, insta-love stories full of heart and with a HEA.
Her characters not only fall quickly, deeply, but are also possessive in nature. If she's not writing, then she's on Facebook...Tell her to get the hell out of there and get writing.
River is a 30 year old musician and a free spirt, she had an unusual childhood, her parents are circus people, and they understand her need to wander. Max is a a 25 year old mechanic who is a romantic at heart. He saw the love his parents had and wants that for himself. A few days before Christmas on his way home he stops at the wishing well his mother believed in and makes a wish for love. Later that day he gets called out to tow in a broken down VW bus. There on the side of the road he believes he has met his destiny in River. He is instantly attracted to her, she is also attracted to him. He is not her usual type but she really likes what she sees. He gets her towed to his garage and drops her off at the local hotel. He asks her to dinner before he leaves and River feeling overwhelmed by her feelings for him declines. Feeling bad that he pressured her he takes a pizza over to her at the hotel. He then comes to see her and take her out again the next day. He is going to win her over, he has laid all his card on the table, he tells her he sees a future for them. She tells him she is leaving for New York as soon as her bus is fixed. But he grows on her and their chemistry is electric. In the end his believe in the wishing well and love wins. She stays and they get married. Epilogue one year later with River opening a music house in Sweetville. I loved how supportive Max was, he would do anything for his River.

First things first; I like the cover of this book! Stranded Christmas is the sixth book in the ‘’steamy in sweetville’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When River’s van breaks down in a small town, she never expects to find love. From the moment Max meets River, he knows she is the one for him. With River being a wandering soul, will Max convince River to stay? The chemistry between River and Max is clear to see and I liked them together. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
This is such an AWESOME story.. River has lived her life a free spirit. Max has lived in this small town.. River had just finished a show and she had plans to go to New York for Christmas but Marloy broke down just outside of the town where Max and his father lives... When she saw Max for the first time she thought that he was very handsome.. Max was acting a like caveman, he didn't want the cop to touch her or even look at her...
Such a sweet story can't wait see what else happans in that small town..
I loved this book. I saw so much of myself in River she's fiesty she has odd pets and has a love of music and adventure. Max is the hopeless romantic that's ready to make his life with River. The chemistry between the characters is amazing and had me hooked from the beginning.
River, perfect name for a woman who flows from town to town, not setting up roots...until him, the good looking, charming tow truck driver/mechanic who show up to help when her van "Marley" breaks down while she's driving to New York. Sparks fly when Max touchs her, from that moment on his goal is to get her to stay forever.
River is a free spirit who didn't know what she was missing until she stumbled into it. Max is a man who knows what he wants, with no hopes of finding it. This is a wonderful story about car trouble that leads to forever, the magic of Christmas and the beautiful things that can happen if you just believe!
This book was actually rather tame compared to Chica’s other books. It was more sweet than steam. A lovely Christmas romance. And even though it is a story about finding love while stranded during Christmas, it wasn’t cliche.
A sweet and romantic story about falling in love and getting their HEA. Max and River found each other by fate and nothing could Max to claim his woman. Sweet and romantic without drama👍👍
