About In a time of superstition and magic, a young apprentice hunter, Robyn Goodfellowe, journeys to Ireland with her father to wipe out the last wolf pack. While exploring the forbidden lands outside the city walls, Robyn befriends a free-spirited girl, Mebh, a member of a mysterious tribe rumored to have the ability to transform into wolves by night. As they search for Mebh’s missing mother, Robyn uncovers a secret that draws her further into the enchanted world of the WOLFWALKERS and risks turning into the very thing her father is tasked to destroy.
I chose this book because it looked interesting & was about WolfWalkers--it wasn't what I expected being an early reader for children. It took place in Medeival times & was about a young girl named Robyn who wanted to help her father because she had a crossbow she could shoot. But her father said she was too young & had to stay home & help there. She meets a friend, who is a WolfWalker, & she helps her free a captive wolf so it won't be killed even though it goes against her father's job of hunting the wolves. I liked the story even though it was simplified for early readers.
