Extremely good comic book with once again top tear illustrations and really deep Buddhist concepts mixed into a actually exciting and unique story. The story continues the story of Gabriel in his spiritual quest and also saving his friends and family from the corruption and injustice in the village and monastery. Gabriel was older and more mature in this sequel so there was no shortage of action and understanding of himself and the world around him.

Spoiler alert, Gabriel does end up reaching enlightenment by having pretty much everything taken away from him. His mother dies alone in hatred and he even looses his monk friends and they fly off into the spirit world inside a floating mud hut. Gabriel also receives much needed help from his friend from a past life, the yeti from the previous edition.
Later on Gabriel presents some insane powers like, creating a giant mystical scorpion, an earthquake, immortality and healing powers. The story also takes several surprising turns to me who am unfamiliar with Buddhist teachings but I did find them to be beautiful and fitting to the story.

I would really like to read more of Jodorowsky in the future.

Basta entrar no Twitter oficial do @DalaiLama, que há alguns minutos postou: "I believe a proper use of our time is to serve others if we can or at least refrain from harming them.

I have similar feelings to this book as I have to Book 1: the art is amazing, the research the author did is fantastic, and the story is great, but the idea of a white savior of Tibet is problematic. There's definitely no other comic books about Tibet that are on this level of sophistication, though.
