From an award-winning author with more than one million books sold, a new series of four heartwarming historical romances about life on the California trail. Note: each book can be read as a stand-alone.
Hope White is one of the preacher’s daughters. She’s a loving, giving person who plans to start missionary work in California.
Clay Adams was raised by a strict preacher grandfather who constantly criticized him and treated him harshly. Now all he wants is adventure and freedom. But his first venture into ‘freedom’ landed him in hot water with a bad bunch. He wants to leave behind this particular adventure and tries to flee to California. On the journey, he grows ill and lies dying on the desert floor.
Hope and her father find Clay and care for him. But there are spots on his chest to indicate he has typhoid fever so the wagon master insists they must keep their distance. While her pa drives the wagon, Hope tends the sick man. As he becomes lucid, they talk, and learn things about each other that convince them they are the worst person in the world for the other. As they cross the mountains, more of Clay’s secrets are revealed. Hope’s trust is shattered, but when the family wagon breaks an axle, she has no choice but to rely on Clay.
Can she trust him to rescue both her and her father? Can she trust her heart and God? Will Clay prove he’s a changed man?
Linda Ford grew up devouring books and making up stories in her head—often late at night when she couldn't sleep. But she hadn't planned to write. Instead, she dreamed of running an orphanage. In a way, that dream came true. She married, had four homemade children, adopted ten and lived (at times, endured) the dream.
Writing first took her to non-fiction human-interest articles for newspapers and eventually a non-fiction book about tuberculosis set in the 1930s and 1940s (Touched By The White Plague). But romance had always been her first love and she turned to writing love stories. She is multi-published in the CBA market.
She lives on a small ranch in Alberta, Canada, where she can see the mountains every day. She and her husband continue to enjoy their children and grandchildren.
The author has penned a sweet and heartwarming story with wonderful characters and one full of human failings and emotions. This is the story of Hope White, a wagon train preacher's daughter, and Clay Adams, who was raised by an demanding and critical grandfather, who was also a preacher. Clay deciding to try his wings falls in with the wrong crowd and in a desire to change and better his life heads to California. Along the way he falls ill and as he lay near death in the desert, Hope and her father find him and put him in their wagon and tend to him. As they travel, will Hope and Clay discover an attraction to each other or will they determine they are not at all what the other one needs? When the wagon breaks an axle, will Hope trust Clay to rescue them? Will Hope and Clay ever have a HEA? Be sure to read this last book in the series to find out? I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.
Hope Adams, daughter of a preacher, is part of a wagon train on its way to California. Wandering off a bit, she locates what she thinks is a dead body and she enlists the help of her father to bury it. She is shocked to find that the person, Clay Adams, is still barely alive. Getting them back to their wagon, she and her father begin to nurse Clay back to health. Hope is a very devout Christian woman who feels called to missionary work. Clay had a harsh upbringing as feels far from a loving God. Can Hope and Clay find love on the Western Trail?
I have read all four books in this series. As the prior books, this is a sweet historical romance with a strong weaving of Bible verses and prayer. It brings in some of the previous characters for an update. A few new challenges along the way keep it interesting.
Linda Ford has written another excellent story with Redeemed Love. It was hard to put this book down and stop reading. I like books that start the story from the very beginning and this book did just that. The characters were great and many were from other books in this series. A wagon train was trying to make it over the mountains to California before the snow fell. There was love, drama, danger and the growing need to trust God as the wagons journeyed along. I recommend this book for readers who enjoy a good story. It was also a clean story, while telling a story of a couple finding love, which I appreciate. I want to thank the author to allow this book to be read for free.
A Good love story. There is always a twist but you knew it will happen! .Once again a human feeling even when you're holding on to God. Once again true feelings showed throughout this story. How we think, what we think and how we can hold ones self accountable in a nothing matters way. I love each one I've read so far. It would had made one great really long story to put into one,but it would have been more characters and many stories and many happy endings. And a lot of God's graces. Just my thoughts. Off to read the next one!
This is a story of a man who thought he was not worth a thing. Life had beaten him down. That is until a God fearing women found him all but dead. She with the help of her Preacher father nurse him back to health. It is a story of a man finally finding the love God has for him. He learns to trust his companions on the wagon train. The young lady who though that her live was meant to be a missionary. Through the love God has for her she finds her true path he has for her.
I lived this series about the lives of those in a wagon train. Although trials and tragedies abound on the trail to California, good things also happen including love. The stories are real in that these things did indeed happen to people on wagon trains going to California when America was expanding and growing. I enjoyed every moment immersed in these books. I loved them.
This is the last tale in this four book series that Linda has written so well. Their trip by wagon train to California has been filled with excitement , adventure, love and sorrow. God has been faithful to them on the journey as clay and Hope have found true love. You will enjoy reading and not be disappointed.
I was really enjoying the beginning of the book and the depth of faith being shared between the characters but then toward the late middle part of the book it just kind of got bogged down like the wagons on the trail after a rain. Then it seemed to be rushed at the end. But overall a good little series.
A young woman shares what she knows of God's faithfulness to an injured young man who has not experienced God's love and together they go forward, trusting God's love for them and their growing love for each other to take them through all that faces them.
Hope finds love when she rescues a cowboy that she finds sick on the way to California. She tells him God is loving and that he is loved by God. She intends on being a missionary. Clay and Hope get married raise a couple of 3 year old twins as part if their family. A good clean romance that brings joy to my heart.
Hope and Clay are real and flawed characters, but eventually come to realize God's perfect plan. The plot has many ups and downs, with a very sweet twist at the end.
A great story about the Oregon trail and some of the hardships on it. This one is about Clay ex gang member and Hope the preachers daughter. Both are looking for something will they find it along the trail? Love this read
Another delightful story of faith, trials and redemption by Linda Ford. I only gave it 4 stars since there could be a bit more depth in some of the characters but overall a quick and wholesome read.
A story of redemption, forgiveness and trust. He had a past he was not proud of, but with encouragement, he was able to see he had worth. What a great ending to this series. Good clean romance.
In my opinion, this was the best book in the Wagon Train Romance series by Linda Ford…it was clean, heartwarming and based on a story of remed faith in God to take care of them during times of struggles and strife.
I liked the story of how a person could be encouraged to look at being different than they had been raised to believe that they were. Also, proving it by their actions.
Hope rescues a man who appeared to be dying of typhoid fever. She nursed him back to health. They fell in love but his secrets and her promise to God were about to explode on the scene. This was an excellent story of redemption & forgiveness. A good series.
So many things happened in this one. I was very happy with the ending of this series wrapping up with a resurrected town, a resurrected church building, an a growing congregation who have been through so much together that they see God.s loving hand through it all.
The book was so enjoyable.. About witnessing, love, love of our Father, and forgiveness. I highly recommend this book. It was one of my favorites by the author.
You will love this last book in the Love On The Western Trail Series. As usual, Linda Ford weaves a wonderful story of faith, love, and family! Don't miss it!
The love of God is continually shown in this series . I have enjoyed the ministering of the characters to one another like a big happy family going on with God!
