Second chance romances aren't just for humans. Unstoppable demon hunter, Bennett is the first to dive into the fight. But he's also the first to admit that the strategy doesn't always go his way. Especially when it comes to the vampire that got away. Immortality comes at a price, and Adair will protect her way of life tooth and nail, as she has for the last five centuries.
When she meets the naïve, stubborn, careless... sweet, built, irresistible hunter? Is it possible for a vampire to die of a broken heart?
Carrie Thorne is the author of sizzling romance novels, specializing in white-hot chemistry, healthy relationships, and a mix of action and dreamily falling in love. Whether it’s a sinuous flow down a lazy river or evil bad dudes hot on heels, Carrie’s stories will draw you in and ruin your sleep. Happily ever afters are for everyone, and kindness is everything.
She’s also an introvert who loves people, travel, fitness, video games, food, and is a true Pacific Northwesterner who lives for rain and outdoors and trees and mountains and ocean, and… she’s a total dork. At home, she’s lucky to have two creative and confident kids, a witty veteran husband she fell at-first-sight for, and a tiny pup snuggled at her side. In addition to writing romance, Carrie has been a nurse practitioner, a Martian and Earthling geologist, a banker, and she is usually elbow-deep in a DIY project in which she bit off more than she could chew.
Changed is the 3rd book in the Demon Hunter Romance series by Carrie Thorne. I have read the two previous books and enjoyed both of them. This book could be read as a standalone, but it is definitely more enjoyable after reading the first two books. Fifteen years ago, Bennett, a demon hunter, and Adair, a vampire met in a night club while Bennet was out hunting. Engaging in a battle of wits, vice duking it out, the two had a short affair that Adair ended because she knew nothing could come of it. Fifteen years later, the two are thrown together again when a new threat goes after Bennett, trying to get him to fulfill an old vampire prophecy.
I just love these books and Changed is no exception! I love the world building and the overarching storyline of the series as well as in this particular book. The demon hunting group continues to grow, now having a son of a demo, a werewolf and now a vampire and it’s that electric mix that makes them so effective in what they do. .The characters are just wonderful! Adair, while over 500 years old, still lives her life like there are new things to be found and done. Unfortunately, her optimism hasn’t been spilling over into her interpersonal relationships hence why she feels like attempting a relationship with Bennett would be hopeless - their differences too great. With that said, the minute Bennett needs her, she drops everything to help him out. Bennett is freaking awesome and a true optimist at heart. For all his cockiness, he is extremely loyal and while not living life at a standstill, Adair is the one he’s been pining for all these years. Their chemistry was off the chain, right from the beginning! The ending does have a little cliffy, but not about whether they get their happily ever after ❤️.
This is an interesting vampire story with a cast of strong characters centering on Adair and Bennett. The author does a great job developing the story and painting her scenes perfectly. She moves the story fluidly and delivers a great read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Vampire Adair and hunter, Bennett, spend some time together before she has to leave him. But neither will ever forget the other. Years later they meet again after Bennett has survived his life-changing experience being trapped by evil vampires who had plans to use his new power if he lived. They couldn’t contain him and he was unexpectedly able to escape. This time, under his new situation of being both demon and vampire now, can he convince Adair to give their love a chance?
Great story line with intriguing and likable characters that will have you on the edge of your seat and cheering them on. Grab your copy and see what their long futures offer them.
I am totally enamored with Carrie Thorne’s demon hunter series and I was so excited to learn that Changed was coming out. I have been so interested in hearing Bennett’s story of how the vampire stole and broke his heart. This book did not disappoint! This book is fascinating and got sucked into the paranormal world. It was full of surprises, twists, action, danger, suspense, and a love story all wrapped up in a bow. This book is a standalone and can be read without reading the other preceding books. I highly suggest you read the books from the beginning before starting this book.
Another prophecy is happening to the infamous demon hunter team. Bennett did say that he was destined for one, but little did he know which one.
Bennett is a strong willed man, but even the strong men have a point in their lives where they reach a point. He is still suffering the loss of his one love, the injury in the fight where he almost lost his life to Typha, and the loss of the life he dreamed for himself.
Adair is the vampire and the woman that got away. Even after all their years apart, she has kept an eye on him due to their connection. She has lived a fascinating life during her years as a vampire with traveling the world and experiencing life to the fullest. I feel like her life could be a book or a novella in its self.
Bennett and Adair’s relationship started off as a fling 15 years ago and it left him broken hearted ever since. You can sense their strong connection they have for one another after all this time. Their love story is one for the books and I can’t wait to see what else is in store for them.
Bennett and Adair meet under the most unfortunate circumstances. After the life altering event, they are nearly always together trying to navigate through the change and figure out the story is behind the prophecy.
There is so much I want to say about this book, but I don’t want to give anything away. You have to download or one click the book and read it yourself. It’s totally worth it! I thoroughly enjoy reading this series and anxiously anticipate every book that comes out. Reading Carrie’s books has made paranormal romance another genre for me to read. Her creative and fascinating stories about the unique demon hunter team and other demons/creatures in the paranormal world just suck me in and leave me completely in awe of her and the world that she creates in her books.
The epilogue!!! I loved everything about it!! I would love to know more about Logan, his wife, and Blayk. I hope this isn’t the the last of them because I want to everything about them!!!
The teaser of Lana’s book! I need more! Lana is going to give Archer a run for a money so Archer watch out! Waiting until next year to have this book come out its going to be torture!!!!
I enjoyed reading Logan’s short, Finite, too! I feel like their story could be a book or another novella. Maybe it won’t be the end of seeing them too. I wouldn’t find if they make another cameo appearance in future books. lol.
I received a copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily leaving my review.
Surprising, steamy PNR page-turner Demon Hunter Bennett is so hung up on Adair, the vampire while she acts so cavalier about their relationship, but is that for real? The book starts 15 years in the past to give us a glimpse of the young and naïve former 21yo virgin Bennett. That was a nice touch! Fast-forward to the present and when they meet again, he’s older, she’s not but his feelings are still hurt from their previous ending. Can they get back that “loving feeling”? While all this is going on there is another plot which is much more hazardous and cringe-worthy. There was one part in particular that I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat worried about Bennett! At another part I was angry on his behalf! Stunning book, remarkable story-telling. I could virtually “see” Bennett’s trek and “feel” is aggravation and discomfort. Much of what he endures is due to his hubris. He continues to fall into predictable and bad situations. Love the ending. If you like paranormal romance with intrigue, steam and an HEA, you will love this book. I had not read anything by Carrie Thorne before so I was pleasantly surprised. Well-written and well-edited. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through BookSirens. What about that cover!!!!!
Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have read Wildest, Book 2 in the A Demon Hunter Romance series previously and this story is a great addition to the fold (and yes, I have been meaning to go back and read Book 1!). Changed, Book 3, quickly draws you into to Carrie’s Demon Hunter world and you won’t want to leave hunky Bennett and feisty Adair.
This engrossing story is full of action, adventure, romance, humour and amazing friendships. Changed is similar to Wildest in that the story surrounds the MC’s demon hunter team on a mission to destroy a threat to the human race, however the similarities end there. The two MC’s are completely different personalities to the heroes in Book 2, the threat is different, and the tactics, location and backstory are also different. It is great that you can have a central team of characters, who have a fun and binding friendship and yet the story lines are completely unique.
I also loved the glimpse into the MC’s romantic past at the start of the book and I think it adds a little extra to the steamier moments throughout their story.
This book (and series) is exciting and different and I can’t wait to read the next instalment.

Bennett is such a Smexy handful - Solid alpha lead with the biggest marshmallow heart Warrior - Hunter - Thrill Seeker Bennett is a skilled hunter with a slightly overinflated ego that at times places him in unnecessary danger - most of the time actually It is not intentional - It just is
When one not so intentional curiosity-driven "I got this" moment leads to his capture and the possible fulfillment of a prophecy It is Adair, the woman who broke his heart, who turns out to be his rescuer and possibly his salvation
This easily read as a standalone though you will find the cast and their quirks highly addicting and like myself probably end up back at the beginning (which is currently free) A solid storyline that kept me engaged and entertained Lots of action and suspense with each page turn Excellent characters who are easy to connect with - you'll be loving and loathing in no time - each brought something different to the tone of the story The explosive chemistry between our two main characters bleeds off the page Family and friends round out this cast to create quite the mixed blend of species and personalities A must-read series for those who enjoy paranormal action and adventure blended with romance
Omg. Fantastic storyline with exciting twists throughout. Interesting well written characters. Fast paced detailed plot. Highly addictive read🥰I voluntarily read an arc of this book and am leaving a review. I really enjoyed this book🥰Bennett is the main character and apparently has had his heart broken in a previous book. He’s reckless and in pain. A bad combination for a Demon Hunter. Adair is a vampire he met years ago when he was young and naive. She’s beautiful and worldly and he’s still in love with her but when she left him, he vowed, never again. I loved the relationship between these two characters. The heart sick hero and the reluctant love interest. Adair has lost every person in her life and isn’t willing to lose Bennett, so she’d rather keep things light. . However, when a prophecy comes to light and Bennett is at the center of it Adair can’t stay away. These two work through what the change in Bennett means and how to stop the prophecy before it destroys the world. Their relationship grows but Adair is still afraid. Her reluctance is frustrating but the story is so good! So yes I recommend5 ⭐️
I first had the privilege to find and read the books in this series through BookSirens and I'm super glad I did. I find these books are so well written, the stories and the characters so well developed that you feel like you know them. I will admit that I was a bit confused about Adair's brother and his recent change because I hadn't read Finite yet (although it's not necessary for the story, but will provide clarification if you read it first). In each one of these stories we learn more and more about this unique team of Hunters and learning about acceptance of diversity. I didn't connect with this story as much as the others because I felt as though I needed to know more about Adair, her brother and the prophesy. I also wanted to understand more about any changes in abilities and powers. However, it all came together in the end and now I can't wait for the next installment. As I said, I learn more and more about each character in every story.

Changed is the third book in Carrie Thorne’s Demon Hunter Romance Series. This book is an action packed paranormal, second chance romance novel filled with great characters, intense passion, a great love story and a happily ever after.
Adair has been around for five centuries and she will do anything to protect herself and her way of life, even if that means pushing away the only man she has ever loved. Bennett has always been an act first, think later demon hunter, but since the moment he met Adair he knew she was his. Fifteen years later, a prophecy brings them together again, but can they survive the danger that’s coming? Read it and find out!
This book was a great addition this amazing new series. All the books in The Demon Hunter Romance Series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone, however, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself. I can’t wait for the next book!
This is a voluntary review of a copy received from BookSirens.
This was different than your average vampire novel. It wasn’t quite as dark—which I really enjoyed—and there was a lot more relationship development. I was also very intrigued by the plot. The book was perfectly paced, and I felt the prophecy and “original vampire” storyline were really exciting. This was my first book by this author, but I didn’t feel lost at all. It was quite easy to follow what was going on.
I really enjoyed the relationship between Bennett and Adair. I wish there had been a little bit more explanation on Adair’s part about why she left him, and I wasn’t a fan of how Bennett was kind of a playboy before Adair returned. However, Bennett and Adair had great chemistry and were a very solid, supportive couple. The side characters were great as well, especially Blayk.
Overall, this was a fast-paced, paranormal romance with lots of action and a satisfying conclusion.
*I received an ARC of this novel. This is my complete and honest review.*
A fantastic read. Carrie Thorn's books are something I have kept a constant eye out for as she's caught me hook, line and sinker.
The series generally follows a certain character and their own romantic story, whilst the team battles one baddie after another. In the first book we come across Bennett and his rather large ego. Exploring his character was always going to be interesting and I think Carrie has hit the nail on the head here. Bennett's final love could only be a big one and what bigger one would you have than your first. The storyline itself also suits Bennett and his personality, proving there is something behind that ego, or even a reason for that ego. I'd highly recommend reading the other books first, just for the satisfaction of knowing the other characters, despite this having the ability to be read alone.
I received a copy of this book from the author via BookSirens for the pleasure of reading and leaving an honest review.
An amazingly wonderful story in this demon hunter series! To be honest, I did not like Bennet in the two previous books. But this book made me completely turn into a Bennet fan. I love how Ms. Thorne built up the character and fleshed them fully so us readers will understand their personality and reasoning. There was so much going against Bennet and Adair that them being together was doomed from the start. But as in the previous books, fate decided to intervene for this couple. I love that the story is filled with action, great dialogs, monsters, vampires, prophecy and abiding love. I highly recommend reading the book and discovering for yourself how these 2 star-crossed lovers able to triumph in the face of immense hurdle in their way. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. But since I really liked it, I decided to go ahead and buy a copy too in support of the author.
Changed by Carrie Thorne was a fun trip into the realm of the Demon Hunters!
Bennett Ward, the H, a Hybrid Demon Hunter, was on the ultimate ego trip! I think he really thought himself invincible at one point, which totally worked my nerves to no end!
He did realize his mistake, after the fact, and appeared to grow as a character, which was worth every turn of the page.
Adair Fenton, the h, an ancient vampire, was five centuries older than Bennett, and they did end up balancing each other out, and therefore made this story quite enjoyable!
I loved that the cast of characters from the others books, all occupied a space in this story!
I am looking forward to the next installment in this series!
I was overjoyed to see book 3 come out. It dimmed a little when I learned this was Bennett's story. He was not my favorite member of the team, but he has redeemed himself through this story. We get to learn his backstory with Adair, a vampire.
Bennett's need to charge in gets him in a huge mess. Thankfully the team rallies around him and they work to save the day.
This one kept surprising me. I loved both book 1 and 2, I still was blown away by the end of this one. I am a hard core fan now and am so excited to know there are more members of the team left to pair off. Bring on book 4!

** I received a free ARC from Book Sirens and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.** I have discovered that I really enjoy Carrie Thorne's books. They are well-written, highly entertaining, fast paced and steamy. I really messed up the order though, but it actually doesn't matter all that much. So, when I finished book four, I grabbed up this one, so I could read the full set.
It does not disappoint. This is Bennett's story. You know, the guy who used to be with Quinn until she dumped him and discovered Ryan? That's a different book though. This time, it's his backstory with a vampire named Adair. Definitely go read it.
What a great addition to this series! Bennett's impulsiveness and arrogance gets him into serious trouble this time but also brings his true love back into his life. This book has a little less sexy scenes and definitely more action but really, that was the only way to write his story. This hunter team is on it's way to becoming the strongest ever seen, making possibilities for future books very exciting. Can't wait to see what happens next! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Bennett was such a contradiction. A hopeless romantic and cocky. Add in his undeniably sexiness, and the one who got away, a serious danger to the world and you get this amazing story!
I have to say that I loved the friendship between Adair and Blayk. I’m even hoping that we’ll see Blayk again.
I’ve already read Echo, and it’s phenomenal! I can’t wait to read more of this demon hunter team!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Changed is a fun easy to follow plot that flows smoothly and easily from the first word it's highly entertaining action packed romance there's always a interesting collection of characters with their quirky unique take on finding the best way to achieve their goals and live to fight another battle Bennett and Adair are a spicy mismatched couple who balance one another and have a great chemistry with likeable personality and we always get a peck at future books. I received a advance readers copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review
Seems even Demon Hunters have fated mates. This third book of the Demon Hunter series continues the never ending battles for our favorite team and introduces not only the female protagonist, Adair, but multiple other characters with potential stories of their own. Strong writing as always with Carrie Thorne's books and an enjoyable experience in reading.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Hot and steamy!!! Changed is the third book in the Demon Hunter Romance Series and can be read as a standalone, however, there are certain events and storylines that are referenced from other books in the series. Bennett and Adair have such great chemistry and their story is tumultuous and steamy. I loved this book and how all of the supporting characters meld seamlessly into it all. A great addition to the series! Can’t wait for Echo! I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
This series just keeps getting better and better. The 3rd instalment of the Demon Hunter series focuses on Bennet. A new prophecy and a tonne of vampires make it hard to put down. This series is quickly becoming one of my favourites. The story sucked you in with its action, humour and steamy chemistry between Bennet & Adair is off the charts. Can’t wait for the next one. Keep them coming Carrie Thorne

This is a great PNR series. Good sizzle and story. I give it 4.5 because it actually had a twist I didn't predict. This is not a good bedtime read if you intend to only read for 15min. There are a lot of supporting roles in this novel which makes it perfect for sitting down and reading on a day you want to relax. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The start of this book was so much better for me than the other two books. It was action packed and engaging. It was different from the other books in that I didn't really get a feeling for the main characters' love developing. Also the heroine and another character had similar names and it was confusing for me to tell them apart when those two characters came together. Overall, a great third book in the series. I received a free copy of this book and I voluntarily reviewed it.
I absolutely loved this book. The writing kept me engaged throughout the entire story and I found myself not wanting to put it down. It was captivating and kept me on my toes throughout the entire thing. The writing was intelligent and humourous and full of personality. I would recommend definitely taking a chance on this book and reading it, because you won't want to put it down. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
this book is action-packed and totally gripping. Bennett and Adair were fascinating characters, especially when making room for Bennetts's rather large ego! This 3rd book in the series was a wonderful read. So many twists and turns made this engrossing. I absolutely love the series. I would recommend reading the other books in the series to really get that grip on the characters although it isn't necessary.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I absolutely loved this story. It was very original and bit the story and the characters were well developed. The relationship between Bennett and Adair was definitely full of angst the push and pull was through most of the book. The prophecy pushed them together after many years and their feelings were just as strong between them Bennett is the first demon hunter to ever be changed into a vampire and can also walk In the sunlight. This is great story that will keep you interested right from the beginning I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Finished!! Pulled me right in AND I hadn't even read the first two! First by this author. I think I’ve found another great author!! Third book in series. I was worried about being really lost but she does a good job filling in blanks. This is Bennett's story. He's a demon hunter with a team of 5 other hunters. He's in a little bit of emotional turmoil. really don't want to say more for fear of giving too much away. I have already started SIX book 1 promptly after finishing this one. I will re-read this I'm sure once I finish books 1 & 2. I love a good paranormal romance. and I love when the author creates a different kind of world with a different kind of story (different from all the rest). She does an amazing job of that. I would definitely recommend.
I won a copy of this book, this is my honest review
Great continuation of the series! Finally we get Bennett's POV how Adair broke his heart and how they keep getting "thrown" together. It seems fate has a lot in store for these two as well as the rest of the team. This is a great paranormal series with all the monsters, betrayals, action and romance you can handle. Looking forward to the next installment!
