My interest was captured as soon as I started reading this second-chance romantic story and I was so excited!!

Gavin and Cora were an amazing couple and loved each other deeply since high school. Due to his mother’s job promotion, Gavin’s family moved across the country but Gavin and Cora would keep their relationship, since he was planning to come back after two years.
Gavin, a couple of years later, broke up with his ‘love of his life’ and in the course of time never returned.

13 years after his leaving, Dani was now a photographer and Gavin a model, they met at a shooting, each one having no knowledge of who would be working with, and later Gavin was declaring he never got over Cora or stopped loving her!
At that point I was having a nervous breakdown with his declarations of love!! They didn’t work for me at all!!!
He disappeared for 13 years, had an enjoyable life, filled with women, but he never stopped loving her??? Are we serious right now??? 🙄

Another thing that didn’t sit well with me, was Cora’s best friend Jonas. While they had a wonderful friendship, it was crystal clear that they were attracted to each other but nothing developed between them.
I don’t know why Jonas was thrown into the mix and what was the reason of his and Cora’s attraction. To create more angst? To make Gavin jealous? 🤷🏻‍♀️

While it was very well written, all the above issues and the drama going through the roof towards the ending of this part, spoiled any good mood I had and my interest was lost as to read the final part of this duet and find out what happened... 😔

Cora Davies is doing pretty good in life. She lives in Florida and is a photographer. Has a few close friends, but has yet to find someone to share her life with. She gave her heart away only once and all that got her were tears and broken pieces back.

Gavin Hunt is a model and things are looking up for his career. In high school his mom got a job promotion so he had to move across the country to California. He promised to come back. Promised to not lose touch, no matter the distance. Unfortunately those were just empty words. He never thought he would ever return to where he was from, but a shoot has him traveling back to where he grew up… back to her.

She gets a blast from the past though when she sees the model she’ll be working with for the next week. All those feelings they thought they had worked out from the past bubble up and start to break through their walls. Their professional relationship is getting blurred. The thoughts that have held them captive for so long, finally start to come to light. Are they brave enough to try once more? Are they willing to surrender?

That cliffhanger was something else!! Oh.My.Gosh!!! I need book 2 NOWWWWW! I adored Gavin and Cora!!! Need more of them in my life

I was so happy to get a new release from Persephone Autumn! I loved this story and am so anxious to get the second part of this duet to see how it ends!

It is obvious from the very beginning that Gavin and Cora have instant chemistry. Even after they had spent so many years apart, what they had before they split apart is as strong as ever. However, there's also a lot of angst - and a healthy dose of drama - that really keeps you engaged with this story. Gavin and Cora get a second chance, but there's several twists and turns that don't make it as simple as "let's get back together". You'll definitely have to read to find out what happens!

I really enjoyed the storyline, the characters (even though Gavin made me want to shake him at some points), and where this story was going. Can't wait to read more! Thank you to the author for providing an advanced copy of this book!

This book is a story about two people coming together after a 13 year split in their relationship. Gavin and Cora were inseparable as teenage lovers. When Gavin‘s mom gets transferred across the country they are forced to split up. Their jobs bring them back together and emotions are brought to the surface that they both thought they had worked through. This is slow burn full of angst with a heavy cliffhanger! Great read!

I’m not sure how I’m feeling about this story!!

Throughout the whole story I was rooting for Gavin to be able to win Cora back and finally have a HEA.
I was also kind of sad because obviously there is a connection between Jonas and Cora but Gavin is back in town and now ...... 😫

When I dive in into this story I had no clue it was a duet 🤦🏻‍♀️ I know is in the cover, what can I say 🤷🏻‍♀️
And oh Lord all mighty this cliffhanger!!! 😳🤨
I lost my faith in Gavin....... Jonas needs to sweep Cora and take her away!!! I seriously threw my phone 📱.... good thing I was reading in bed and my phone didn’t suffer any serious damage! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The only thing Cora asked Gavin was not to break her heart again, damn you Gavin 💔😭 How is she to trust you again? And why would you do it? Or not for that matter? What happened to not wanting to lie to Cora?

Time Exposure is not due until June, meanwhile I’ll be here disliking Gavin and rooting for Jonas! 😜
Seriously, Gavin has some explaining to do and Cora better make him sweat!!!!!!!!

I received an ARC of this story and this is my voluntary review.

✓Friends to lovers

✓High school sweethearts
✓All the feels

I absolutely love how there's no animosity or 'I'll give you shit & be angry for what you did in the past". Cora has learned, accepted & is growing in her life without Gavin, even though she still feels for him.

There isn't anything grand happening in this book but it's still attention grabbing. Being book 1 in the duet, it was more focusing on how they are in their professional & relationship standing. They're old friends spending time & getting to know each other again, almost like initial dating stages.

Cora & Gavin are like real goals since they were 15 years old. The true feeling is still there along with the hurt but the exact reason for why they lost touch is yet to be known.

I'm warning you, do not imagine the scene happening when the story begins. It's gross!
I don't think there's a single thing to hate in the story, Everything is simple & cute. There's a connection which is rekindling.

The first day at highschool memory is absolutely sweeet.♡ I enjoyed the little glimpses of the past. I love clichés so when Gavin told the number of days they've been apart, my heart melted😩

PS: Gavin is a guy you'll fall in love with.

Persephone Autumn is a new to me author and OH MY HELL! Have I been living under a rock?! Through the Lens is a story that fate is fully involved though it took some time for her to get involved. Cora & Gavin became each other's person when they were younger until he had to move away. He promised her things but didn't deliver but I mean what can you expect from teenagers. Nowadays, Cora's life is pretty good except for matters of the heart since she's really never moved on completely. This is when fate comes in, see she's a photographer, and during a new shoot, here comes Gavin, a famous model, so things start to get complicated since they never truly faced the past head on. They're actually getting closer & closer when a HUGE cliffhanger comes out of the blue to knock me on my behind so I'm now left waiting impatiently to see what's going to happen. This author did a masterful job going from past to present throughout without missing a beat while penning a story filled with emotion & even heat with second chances, so yeah, I LOVED this story hard! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Second Chance Romance is my jam and in Through the Lens Persephone Autumn provides the ultimate Second Chance Romance. First love stripped away leading to a thirteen-year separation and then fate putting them together professionally for one week.

Cora is a Florida-based photographer. Gavin, her first love, ripped away from her thirteen years ago is now a world-famous model. Gavin's next assignment has him returning to Florida, paired with Cora for a week-long shoot.

The chemistry between Cora and Gavin leaps off the page as Persephone peels back the layers of their separation slowly, skillfully and we get to enjoy the magical connection they share. Persephone's masterful use of the flashbacks will have you craving for her to write a YA romance some day - the tenderness and delicate handling of the conflicted emotions of a teen in love are beautifully delivered.

As much as Cora and Gavin fight to find one another again there are many obstacles in their path and one hell of a cliffhanger. Book two of this duet can not come soon enough.

Cora Davies is a photographer living in Florida and she has a pretty good life. The only thing missing is someone to share her life with. She had someone like that before but all it brought her was heartache and tears. Until she comes face to face with the love of her life.. Again…

Gavin Hunt is a model and things are finally going his way in his career now. He had someone he loved before, but then his mom got a job promotion and he had to move across the country, but he promised he would be back, but things didn’t work out so well. Until the day he had to go back home and finally seeing her again 😊 But will Cora give him another chance to prove that that this time he will stay? Will he be able to get her to trust him again or should they just go their separate ways?

New author for me and it was really good. I didn’t expect that ending though and I definitely wanted these two to get their happily ever after 😊

Cora and Gavin. I absolutely fell in love with Cora and Gavin, I was so upset I didn't have book 2 right away after reading. Gavin had to leave when his mother got a new job in California. Cora and Gavin were both devastated. But time created space and space created a rip in their story. Gavin has to go back to Florida for a photo shoot. He hopes to run into Cora but never expected it to actually happen.
Cora is a photographer in Florida and she has her own home and has an amazing life but something is missing or someone is missing. The heat from this story is turned up to 100 and the chemistry is to die for.

The paperback quality is amazing. I love the feeling of the cover in my hands and gosh that cover model is drool-worthy! I can't wait to hold book 2 in my hands!

Through the Lens is the first book I’ve read from Persephone Autumn and I’m glad it was. This book has it all. Second chance romance, friends to lovers, and high school sweethearts. It’s a second chance story that keeps you turning the page for more. It’s sweet with a bunch of tension. The story is well written. Persephone takes time to develop her characters and the story. Though I’m usually not a fan of flashbacks, Persephone does a superb job at weaving it so well into the story. It gives us what we need to understand Gavin and Cora’s past from their eyes.

If you’re a sucker for men who know what they want, you’ll be hooked on Gavin and Cora’s story. I loved it. Couldn’t put it down once I started reading. I highly recommend it!

Oh, and not really a spoiler, but it ends on a cliffhanger. Luckily book two comes out in less than two weeks. I can’t wait!

Warning this book ends in a cliffhanger, obviously since it’s a duet. Second chance romance with enjoyable characters and storyline that keeps your attention. Gavin and Cora loved each other in high school. Cora pictured forever but life has a way of changing your plans. Years later Cora and Gavin meet again and the connection is still there. Through the lens is well written and a second chance done right. She takes her time developing the character and their story through flashbacks and present storyline. Don’t make any plans while reading this because you won’t be able to put this book down. Loved it and highly recommend.

This review will be a bit on the shorter side, because I honestly feel like you will get so much more out of it and feel so much more without any kind of spoilers.

This was such an amazing read. Sweet and sexy, Through the Lens really delivered a story that has my heart bursting at the seams.
I loved this story so much, it is nice, sweet, and a very pleasure to read.

It was entertaining and addicting from the first chapter. And it was amazing! I stayed up half the night to read it.
I'm so excited for book two because I feel like we're going to get angst rolled into even more of thoughts perfect writing style. Must read for the year!!!!

I really enjoyed this second chance romance. It had a twist I wasn’t expecting. Cliffhangers are just mean sometimes. Can’t wait for the second book. Gavin broke Cora’s heart 13 years ago but is now back trying to win her over. Cora is trying to keep her heart protected so she doesn’t get hurt again. Love getting both of their points of view so I know both sides of the story. Highly recommend!!

Gavin and Cora's story is heartbreakingly beautiful. Best friends, who become each other's first loves, only to be torn away from each other. Years later they get a second chance. My new favorite book, Cora is someone who I would want to be friends with. Gavin is someone I would be lucky to have. A definite cliffhanger ending but keeps me wanting more! Definitely recommend this book!!!

This book is everything! I loved this second chance romance! Fate unknowingly brought Gavin and Cora together after 13 years due to their professions. Over the week that they work together, you unravel their past. You figure out what happened and their broken hearts due to it. You witness the chemistry that most definitely hasn’t faded. Most importantly, when you think things are figured out, and can see a way through, BAM! In comes the cliffhanger! I can’t wait for the next book.

What a great start to a Duet! Cora is a photographer getting a chance to do a spread in a popular magazine. Little did she know that the model was her high school boyfriend that she hasn’t seen for 13 years! Gavin is a up and coming model with a over the top agent. When Gaven and Cora are reunited at a photo shoot old sparks are definitely rekindled. Gaven seemed very excited to see her again and really wanted to see where things can go. Can it really work this time? Has to much time passed? This was a great quick read and I’m really looking forward to reading the next book. It ended on quit the cliffhanger!

Gavin and Cora have a long history. One that makes you believe this relationship is that of destiny. The dialogue between these 2 characters is fantastic. You can just tell by how natural their relationship is that is one fated to be. I can not wait to see what comes next. From world building to fantastic writing to perfect characters this book has it all. @persephoneautumn has a talent in capturing her readers attention and holding it from page one to the end.

Told through a dual POV Through the Lens is a Second Chance Romance from the Click Duet series by Persephone Autumn.

Cora Davies and Gavin Hunt went from friends to best friends and then turned boyfriend and girlfriend who had shared a lot of their firsts together. Unfortunately when Gavin’s mother received a promotion, this lead to him having to move away with his family breaking Cora’s heart in the process.
13 years have passed and he has returned (to his hometown) for work, only to find out the person he will be working with is Cora. With being back in each other’s lives, all their feelings and emotions for one another come flooding back, that were pushed back and locked away. But with so much time having past between the two, is it enough to go back to what they had?

Upon reading the blurb I had high hopes for Through The Lens. And with the more I read, the more intrigued I became, only to then be let down.
Here’s the thing the story just felt like a constant push and pull and a lot of talk about feelings and emotions. Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind that at all, in fact I enjoy it. But in this case I didn’t as much and I guess that could be because there wasn’t really any drama, suspense or much of a mystery, it was just Cora and Gavin going back and forth about their feelings for one another and whether they would/should get back together. Making it feel more descriptive than anything, just reading about their feelings and emotions without any punches to have you gripped on. Prolonging the story more than really necessary in my opinion.

However with that said there were parts I did like, for example how Persephone had included flashback scenes of when Gavin and Cora were younger, it definitely helped to understand the characters more and see what they were like back then and how much they may have changed now in the present. Plus it helped with finding out about their history of when they first met, leading to their friendship and then ultimately blossoming into love.
Also, I did like seeing Cora and Gavin build their friendship up again in the present. You could definitely tell though a lot of time had past between the two, the love was still there whether they admitted it or not.

Though Through The Lens wasn’t at all what I expected or hoped for, that isn’t to say I didn’t like it. Because I did, just not as much I would’ve preferred.
I will say that coming towards the end, I knew something was bound to happen since it is a duet series. And so that definitely intrigued me and had me continuing on until the very end.
Especially with that cliffhanger of an ending, I actually wasn’t expecting that at all. In all honesty I was actually expecting something else, so I was definitely surprised. I guess you could say Persephone Autumn managed to win me over, by not stopping and continuing on until I finished the book.

Overall, it was still a good story and I will definitely be waiting to read the final book Time Exposure in the Click Duet series to see how it all ends. With that said, I would still recommend Through The Lens, especially if you love Second Chance Romances or have read any of Persephone Autumn’s other books.

I loved this book by Ms Autumn. This is a great story about second chance love and our leads in Cora and Gavin are the willing participants in this romance. Cora and Gavin are brought back together via work after many years living in different states and as soon as they see each other the old sparks and feelings come to the surface. Although Gavin never wanted to leave Cora behind his family moved away due his mother's job. Even though he promised to be back for Cora it seems that time and life kept them apart until fate intervened and Gavin returned home to participate in a photo shoot that Cora happens to be photographing. Spending time together and talking about old times only proves how much these two still want to be together and they agree to give their love and life another chance. Unfortunately we are left with a cliffhanger and a dilemma at the end of this book. I just wanted to scream at the author for leaving us hanging but I am looking forward to reading the next part of their journey. Will they find their HEA? Only time will tell. So glad I took a chance on this book.

I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Persephone Autumn is a new to me and I'm usually a bit hesitant when reading a new author because, obviously, you're not sure how you'll like their work, but I have to say that Ms. Autumn has gained a new fan. I loved this book from start to that cliffhanger ending!

Right from the start, it's easy to see how much chemistry there is between Gavin and Cora, and it's still going strong even though they'd been apart for several years. Once back in the same orbit though, it's almost as if they'd never separated. Alas, not everyone is onboard with them attempting to rekindle what they had, and not surprisingly, there's some angsty drama to keep things all muddled between them and then you're hit with that cliffhanger and we're all waiting impatiently to see what's going to happen and if Gavin and Cora will finally get their HEA.

I'm a sucker for second chance romances and this one doesn't disappoint! Gavin & Cora were highschool sweethearts, but Gavin broke her heart when he moved away.

Now that they have ended up back in each other's life professionally, is it possible to rekindle what they once had?

I want to root for them, but I also want Cora to stand her ground and make Gavin prove his love for her….And that cliffhanger? 🙀

This was a Second Chance Romance for high school sweethearts. I really enjoyed the way the storyline was written. Cora didn’t immediately fawn over him or jump right back into anything with Gavin. It wasn’t his fault for leaving, but he did push her away. Now that’s he’s found her again, he doesn’t want to waste time. There’s some OW drama at the end and leaves you with a small cliffhanger.

Cora and Gavin dated back in the days, he had to move away, so they slowly lost touch. Years later he comes back and all those feelings they've repressed come flooding back.

I loved this story! So very well written, the storyline is engaging and I found the characters to be wonderful. Plus, the cliff is so dramatic that I can't wait to see how's it goung to unfold.
