A month on from the System Apocalypse turning the entire world on its head, Zayn Greene is thoroughly enjoying his second time through the apocalypse. However, there's a problem at the mall downtown. Namely, the mall has become a dungeon, and is full of zombies. So far, they haven't managed to escape the mall, but no one is eager to add a zombie apocalypse on top of all the other problems going on. Which is why, as one of the highest leveled people in the city (that isn't tied into the System's workings, at least), the police have asked him to brave the dungeon, and make sure that there isn't any way for the undead to escape.
It should be a simple enough task, thanks to Zayn's cheating abilities and knowledge from his last time through. But will everything play out the way he expects it will? Or will he and his pets be in for a bigger challenge than they realized?

Author's Note: This is a story set in a world where everything we knew suddenly got turned upside down by a System coming online. This is not a tale of heroics. This is the tale of a man who has chosen to throw away his humanity and embrace his inner demon, to put himself beyond betrayal. This story features cursing, gore, enslavement, mind control, non-consensual acts, and more. If you were hoping for a tale of a white knight in the midst of the apocalypse, you're going to be disappointed. If you have triggers, consider this your warning.
I'm a rookie author, looking to write stories that I enjoy writing. Not gonna get awards, but honestly, I'm happy with each and every person that reads my work.
Stuart is a sci-fi and anime geek, who dabbles in tabletop and video gaming. He enjoys cosplaying and has gone to DragonCon annually since 2009. Frozen Soul is his first book.
It is a sad, sad day when you finally break down and realize that you will never have the life you wanted, never do the things you wished to do, and never see the things you wanted to see. All because of a stupid lack of lightsabers.
I was a 26 y/o college student at Armstrong Atlantic State University, as a theater major. Went to school for a while before, dropped out, tried to go back, dropped out.. Not much to say other than the fact that I'm a laid back guy, and the only drama I like is the kind that's on the stage.
If I act like an idiot, or do anything to offend you, chances are it is not intentional, and I'm being oblivious. In that case, hit me upside the head, and tell me, because I don't catch subtle hints.
Cycling 30% of the book is character reminder??? Huge stat block that don't matter? All 4 of these books together are not long enough for 1 yet you spread them out like this ???
Long on verbiage but not much more to say than RPG stuff. Very much loves points and strengths but very little in the way of the actual story. The premise is what caught my eye not the number of hit points. For those of you who do enjoy all the role play, go for it!
Although the book is not bad. This current installment is just a short, just as episodic, and just as elusive as the first three. With 20% of the book being staffed at the end, this hundred page story is the a pitta me of short…
A full twenty five percent of the book is a pretentious "dramatis personae" and character sheets. And that is NOT counting all the character sheet stuff that comes up in the middle of the book. And barely any of it is relevant. This is where I drop the series.
The storyline in this series is … adequate. Not particularly original or deep, but it’s ok. And on the bright side the author doesn’t get mired down in endless descriptions of fundamentally similar sex acts that make for dull reading. In fact, my only real problem with this series is that the story ends 85% of the way through the book, and the last 15% is nothing but the main character’s description in the form of a character sheet for a nonexistent game. This alone would be bad, but most of it is repeated elsewhere in the book too as well - you get a full description of each potential level-up perk as it happens, then the moment of choice, then the full description is repeated at the end. So at a conservative estimate, 20% of this book is just fictional statistics. Since all 4 books in the series to date are less than a quarter of a normal book’s length already, and this criticism applies (to a lesser extent) to each of them, that’s a lot of pages empty of story. Add that to a fairly high incidence of poor editing and typographical failures, and it’s not very satisfying.
Don't expect the any of Stuart Groose's books to end at 100%, expect something more like 70%. It's most definitely disappointing to be reading for 20 minutes and realize you're 10% done with the whole book but at least the story is good. I think of it as a light novel that comes out at a painfully slow pace.
A Karen stuck in the dungeon, I'd have fed her to the zombies. Quick brutal fights and a MC who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty, what's not to love? One of the things I love most about Stuart Grosse's books is he creates a system of control in his worlds and then specifically sets out to find ways to cheat it.
This book has are group diving into the mall that has become an undead dungeon. It is a lot more action packed than the others and lets the party show off how much stronger than everyone else they are.
This is a good book. You shouldy read it. I like the story. The characters are fun. The book is a good read. i enjoyed it alot.. Download or buy it today. why not?
Why did Hibari's name suddenly change, for 2 pages, to Hitomi?? Really liking this unique story and how it's been written. I started the 1at book at 11:30 this morning and I'm ready to start book 5 right now
This is a review for the first 4 books in the series, this read is a shallow book pretending to be deep, the concept, characters, plot and pacing try to hard to be something that is just not. The system is supposed to be integrated into real life even with some games mechanic for understand but the way its developed here, is no better that an videogame interaction.
If you are not in to all those information in the front and back of the store then the same in the store it self there is no store lift just an outline
I could not wait to see what happened next in this series and it has not disappointed at all. Would highly suggest to read this volume and the previous ones.
The book is decent not as much filling in the story too much fluff not enough meat. I hope the next book is longer and more story filled with adventure
