I chose this book on Amazon along with a bunch of others. I have Kindle Unlimited and I read a lot.
I was pretty sure I would not like this book but ended up being unable to put it down. It drew me in. The characters are well formed and believable. The main character, Henry Pembrose, ends up being a hero to his associates, a group of NY street people. He becomes one of them due to circumstances beyond his control. His life falls apart until he meets people I'm sure he never dreamed would become his friends. It's a riches to rags and back to riches story that will have you reading intently to the surprise ending. Enjoy! I sure did.
This was a very good read and I couldn’t put it down once I started reading. The characters were fun and imaginative and kept me entertained the whole way through. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a feel good story that helps you reflect on what is important in life. Glad I stumbled across this and don’t think anyone that gives it a chance will be disappointed.
This was a well put together novel. I hesitantly started this but was pleasantly surprised. This is not a genre I normally read. Informative, sincere, heart warming, and a little funny in some parts. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to start a new mental adventure. Excellent and koodles to the author.
Loved every minute, would recommend 100%. Do yourself a treat and get this book you'll love it too. A very good film would be made of this one. Had to read until the end.
I enjoyed this true story of a guy pulling himself back up. It was well written with lots of interesting characters. An easy read and one I would recommend.
