Blaire Charismatic, chart-topping singer, I was Ryan Carson's biggest fan... Until he became my brother's best friend, and turns out he isn't anything like I'd imagined. But for one reckless night, he kissed me. Worse, he read my diary. I swore then that he'd become my enemy. Now my sister's getting married. The singer she'd chosen to sing her wedding songs? None other than Ryan Carson. He's as cocky as ever, and a thorn on my side. He's asking me to be his "arm candy", like accepting it is so hard to resist. I can't wait until this wedding is over.
Ryan She's my best friend's sister. She claims she hates me, but when she looks at me with those brown eyes, I know it's anything but hate. So I make her an offer--help me promote my upcoming album by becoming my fake girlfriend. What she doesn't know? There is no promo. I let her walk away six years ago. This time, I'll do my best to keep her.
This is a beautifully written love story with strong , well developed characters and an emotional story line. The author brings realistic characters and had me glued to the pages with her detailed and descriptive writing and perfectly painted scenes. It's well written ,moves fluidly and is an enjoyable read.

I enjoyed Ryan & Blair's book. Good characters. It was an entertaining, fun read. I received a free copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Blaire loved everything about Ryan Carson, and she even worshipped the ground he walked on. But when Ryan becomes her brother's best friend and her idealized image of him is shattered, she's heartbroken, prompting her to shove anything related to Ryan in the back of her closet. Now years later, Ryan and Blaire are still at each other's throats. But when Blaire's secret childhood crush is revealed to Ryan and he catches a glimpse of the Blaire she hides away, he intends to get to know the real her. Even if he has to lie to do it. But what neither was expecting was the tidal wave of emotions, secrets, and past truths that would come their way or the battles they would need to fight through together.
I think this was a pretty sweet enemies-to-friends-to-lovers romance between a girl who loves music and her older brother's pop star best friend. A lot of the arguments between Blaire and Ryan were really repetitive, childish, or insignificantly important, which I think turned me off of the story a bit. I enjoyed it and it kept my interest for the majority of the book. But let me tell you, the secondhand embarrassment was strong in the first chapter of this book. That was the part that hung me up the most and it wasn't necessarily even that bad. I don't know if all of the plot points were that believable all things considered; nonetheless, it was a cute romance and I didn't hate it, it just didn't provide much character development or emotional impact.

Blaire's brother is in the and with Ryan and she has a huge crush on him until he tells her her voice is terrible and song writing is bad. When her sister is getting married he is invited to the wedding to sing and ropes Blaire into being his fake girlfriend to keep female fans away but he is not fake for him. Ryan knows he blew it years ago with Blaire but it will not make the same mistake twice.
Blaire always had a crush on Ryan until she got to know him. Ryan knows she doesn't really hate him so asks her to help him promote his new album by pretending to be his girlfriend, but there is no promotion. He has to make her his and is using this excuse to get close to her. What will happen when she finds out the truth? Will she give in to what she feels?

Two Hearts and a Lie was my first story by Rica Grayson and I am definitely glad I read it. Ryan and Blaire were amazing together. It was well written and the romance was not rushed. Once I began reading, I simply could not stop. Blaire and Ryan's story will grab you and not let go. I will definitely be reading the first book and any that follow. 5 stars!
Slow-burn romance with a rocky start for Blaire and Ryan. He was her music idol crush, she's his brother's best friend and he certainly lost his sparkle once she met him. It was an okay read with some repetitive and childish behaviors.

This was my first read from this author. I enjoyed this story from start to finish. I loved that it was written in the first person point of view which is a deal breaker for me.
