All Grace Andrews wants to do is pass calculus, and avoid the wrath of the school's Queen Bee Maddison McKenzie. If people would stop calling her 'New Girl', even though she moved to Silver Glade in the 8th Grade, that would be an added bonus.
For Nate Henderson the thoughts of returning to Silver Glade fills him with dread. He left the town under a cloud of shadows and only returns to honour his beloved grandfather's dying wish.
When Grace and Nate first meet confusion reigns, but might she be the person who finally helps Nate put the ghost of the past to rest? Can Nate confront the one person responsible for his nightmarish childhood, or will Grace become the next target for the monster who controls Silver Glade?
Note to readers: This book contains sensitive subject matter. Brief mentions of violence, childhood abuse and sexual assault. Reader discretion is advised.
I was born and raised in the ‘Royal County’ of Ireland. I’ve been an avid reader of all genres from an early age, and love getting lost in the world’s created by my favorite authors. From the ballrooms of the Regency era to the clubhouse of an MC, via a plucky detective solving a crime, with a hint of the supernatural thrown in for good measure, there is always an adventure to find within the pages of a book.
For years I’ve been scribbling short stories, fan-fiction and the beginnings of novels, but it is only this year that I’ve had a real opportunity to complete a full length novel. It is my dream to see my words gracing the screens of e-readers, as well as in print and on the shelves of bookshops and libraries around the world.
My debut novel, Chasing Shadows, is a New Adult book which mixes romance with suspense and mystery.
I am currently working on a new trilogy of Contemporary Romance novels, set in Boston, and hope to have them ready in the New Year.
Chasing Shadows is full of twists and turns, overall mystery and suspense. Once I got a read on Nate it wasn’t hard to feel for him and all he had been through. Thank goodness there were people in his life to help him. Grace was easy to connect to and was exactly who Nate needed. There is definitely some heavy subject matter but Nate has good people to back him up. I was very glad so many questions I had were answered in the end. I felt like there was a lot going on that at times was hard for me to wrap my head around but then it all came together in the end.
