"It's always great fun to expect a delivery," said Bear.
Bear and Spider are eagerly awaiting a new teapot to come via the mail.

But when the doorbell rang and the delivery Panda hands over the package...Bear has a decidedly unexpected reaction.
Bear had never met such a charming lady bear. His heart beat fast."
And so...Bear orders another teapot. And another. And another.

His home is overflowing and he hasn't even had a proper conversation.

Oh, what is a bear to do?

Oh. My. Cuteness.

Seriously. This one was SOOO stinking cute.

I loved this storyline - of a smitten bear whose only form of communication is to buy (yet another) teapot and the clueless Panda, who becomes increasingly puzzled by the deliveries.

And the way Spider supported his friend Bear (and eventually taking things into his own hands...many hands) was simply perfection!

And I adored the illustrations.

The way Bear's nervousness and excitement was conveyed - it was so expressive and endearing.

The colors used were so pleasing - loved the way all of the illustrations worked together with the text to give such a pleasant reading experience.

All in all, this was an absolutely fabulous book!

With thanks to Bloomsbury Children's Books and Jacob Grant for sending me a free copy in exchange for an honest review!

Why do picture book series sometimes veer into this strange bad cartoon romance zone? The solution to a lack of ideas about what to do with your characters is rarely to introduce a girl one for a love interest.
Bear doesn't hit on Panda while she's at work and this is presented as the central problem of this children's picture book. It's clearly a romantic issue not a matter of being shy about making friends, there's hearts all over the place. And this is resolved by Spider deciding to stalk her until they can give her an invite back to Creepy Teapot Bear's house to hang out sometime? Like, what and yikes??? The one saving grace is that Bear and Panda get to know each other in the end instead of just winding up all hand-holding and heart-eyes instantly, but still.

I have read over a thousand books to my daughter and this is the first time the concept of romance, stalking and dating is introduced through two bears and a spider wingman (wingwebber?) As a parent, 5 year olds don’t need bedtime books on romance. The poetry was cute hence the three stars.

Bear is back, and this time he has a new friend. When Bear orders a new teapot, he never expected that a charming mail lady, Panda would deliver it. Stunned into silence, Bear does the only thing he can do, order another teapot so he can see Panda again. Once again, Bear finds himself speechless. So, Bear orders another teapot, and another, and another. Luckily Spider is there to help and invites Panda to tea. Will bear be able to get over his fear of talking to Panda, and what will he do with all those teapots?
In a delightful and charming story of meeting someone you like for the very first time. Bear Meets Bear celebrates all those strange and wonderful feelings of liking someone while exploring what to do with all those emotions. A darling journey of friendship paired with the adorable familiar illustrations, makes this book an excellent addition to the Bear series and any library shelf.

4/5 (audiobook)

This is an adorable read about friendship and love. The use of bears seems appropriate and fitting for this book and the illustrations are fun! We were privileged enough to meet the author at a family reading night for my work, and he was wonderful to speak with and learn from. Overall, a fun book that brings in funny and silly moments to discuss bigger topics.

Bear orders a teapot, and when it's delivered Bear is love struck and left speechless by the delivery Panda. After several shipments of teapots to his house, Spider takes action and invites Panda over for tea on Bear's behalf. Bear discovers that Panda doesn't like tea, and now Bear has an abundance of tea pots. Now What?

I love this series of adventures with Bear and his spider friend. I didn’t like this one AS much as the others but it was still really cute and I just love Jacob Grant’s pictures. Check out Bear’s Scare for the best book about Bear and Spider

I thought it was cute at first. I was ready to give it 3 stars. But it ended abruptly and I was confused at first.

This book is adorable, omg. I never thought a spider could look cute. The way that Bear was enamored with (Panda) Bear was so cute and I could see little kids getting into that.
