When your cheeks are left hurting from all of the blushing you’v done, you know it was a good 🍑 read! Based off some of the reviews, it’s clear I’m in the minority on this one with how much I enjoyed this story.
Nia is a successful Salon owner and is on salon number 3 looking to further expand her empire. At the recommendation of a friend, she links up with marketing genius Garrett and not only strikes gold in the business department but with love as well. It took a basket of hot wings and endless conversation for these two to become inseparable.
Now that the holidays are upon them, it didn’t take long for Garrett to see a change in Nia. Depression hit her hard and attempted to destroy all that they’ve built. Garrett was determined to make new Christmas memories with Nia and went above and beyond to see her spirit at peace. Nia was the missing piece to his hearts puzzle and Garrett really showed how the love of a good man can heal the most damaged heart.

From the premise, I knew that this read would have some sad elements, related to Christmas. But, wow, I had no idea it would be something as tragic as THAT! Poor Nia! I can’t imagine trying to go on after enduring such heartache, but she was thriving in her life, until Christmastime. Nia was clutching those horrible memories close, and not allowing herself to move past it, and heal! Meeting Garret was magical! Although Nia needed him for his IT services, she got so much more! Garrett! From the moment he laid eyes on Nia, he was hooked! His patience, the way he cared for, and nurtured Nia through her pain was absolutely beautiful! With the help of Garrett, Nia was finally able to see the other side of her grief, to find happiness again! 👍👍👍

Short but oh so sweet!!!
Business owner Nia has it going on!!! She's smart, successful and spicy!!!
Her 3 hair salons bring her great joy, along with her 3 crazy, but protective best friends.
They do their best to help her forget all she lost Christmas time 10 years ago. Still difficult to power through the memories. But then she meets Garrett Marx!

Every woman deserves a man like Garrett! That’s the review lol. Garrett was everything to me. He was patient, kind, loving and took his time to make sure Nia would have good thoughts around Christmas time instead of the negative heartbreaking thoughts she had endured for the last decade. This was a cute and sexy short, Christmas story. Garrett loves him some Nia and isn’t afraid to show it. It was great seeing Nia develop and grow throughout the story. Overall super cute read.

Garrett & Nia.
First of all, this won because this my name! period.
Robbi knows how to write a smitten MMC. I like that. We need more literature where men care deeply and fall first for the woman and spoil her. Are sensitive and in touch with their feelings and can take care of a woman.
Garrett was so sweet and patient with Nia. And her friend is a real one— a friend will never let you stand in the way of YOUR happiness. A real one.
Make me want to go to Paris too .
Love it. Can’t wait for the new year one.

The story was the first time for this author. I enjoyed the storyline and the premise. I wish I had a little bit more to enjoy the couple's take on love.

Beautiful Christmas Story
Nia, owner of Vivre which means “To Live” in French, she is wanting to expand her business. Her friend recommends, Garrett and he’s thick like “The Bus”, aka Jerome Bettis, IYKYK, that’s all I’m gone say! 🥵
This was an Arduous time for her and he didn’t like it when she used that word, he knew something was wrong.
They went to Melvin’s, a hole in the wall restaurant ,and ordered some hot wings, and the conversation sparked and they became one instantly.
With Christmas right around the corner and Nia’s mood change, Garrett noticed it and he’s asking the question what’s wrong.
The loss of her parents hit her hard and depression took up residence in her heart. Garrett was going to do everything he could to make Christmas memories with Nia and went all out for her.
He booked a 1st class flight to Paris and the rest is History!

This was a sweet novella.
Nia is living her best life, at least until the most beautiful time of year. Christmas used to be a wonderful time for Nia until tragedy struck, leaving Nia with heartache and sorrow. For 10 years, Nia doesn’t celebrate Christmas, only staying home and mourn. By doing this, however, she has not allowed herself to heal.
Garrett is Nia’s boyfriend and though they’ve only been together for 6 months, they really love each other. Garrett knows the tragedy that weighs on Nia’s heart and vows to change her view of the Christmas season. Make new memories. Memories full of joy and not of sorrow.
Garrett was my favorite in this novella. He was sweet, patient, and caring. He always seemed to know what Nia needed and was always mindful of whether things were overwhelming to Nia. His actions and the way he comforted Nia really showed his love for her. I felt for Nia. I can’t even be mad at all about her crying because I cry a lot, too.
Overall, really enjoyed this.

Sweet
I was looking for a fun novella to end the year. Someone recommended this book to me. As a Steelers fanatic, I was all in after she described the leading man as thick like Jerome Bettis in his heyday. Garrett turned out to be the sweetest, most thoughtful Book Bae. He was the star of the book for me. Nia was a little too much of a crybaby for my taste, but I was happy for her in the end. The only drawback was the way the author tried to flex her million dollar vocabulary. It was more distracting than descriptive. Overall, it was a super cute story.

To know that this was the author's first work is fascinating because the work delivered. Let me just add that this author knows how to design these book baes that will have you searching for them in daylight with a flashlight. Garrett and the way he loved on Nia..beautiful! On to their New Year's Eve story...

Nia and Garrett were so damn cute! I enjoyed their story. Paris at Christmas is the epitome of romance and I love that for them. They were sexy, and I love the way Garrett nurtured Nia through the pain and making new memories. I will say that it was heavier than I was expecting for a short Christmas romance. So much tragedy. It almost felt like too much. And the language is some places just felt off and overdone. Sometimes a story, especially a short one, is best told simply. But I did enjoy it very much.

I recommend this book about finding the joy of Christmas again and forgiveness. Garrett really wanted Nia to have joy while loving her through her pain. This was a cute romance with a little bit of steam that’s done with class. It details their six month dating anniversary trip to Paris that was so romantic. At times I found myself speed reading past parts I wanted to be over quickly. All and all I enjoyed the story and would recommend this to anyone who interest this book might pique. It is a cozy romance with a HEA and I did feel good reading some of the romantic parts where the chivalry is on 100.

Very cute love story!!!...Nia and Garrett is definitely showing how tragedy can allow someone else to penetrate your heart and help you heal!!!...I can't wait to see how their relationship grows!!!...Nia auntie was way too much for me!!!... This book was love in its purest and most raw form. If my man don't love me like Garrett, then I don't want him! And kudos to Robbi Renee for showing grief on a holiday as whimsical as Christmas. So beautiful
I love the way that this novella felt like a 200 page story. Nia needed someone to love her through her grief and help her see that there was sunshine after the storm. Garrett was so patient, tender, and loving. I loved the way that he thoughtfully planned a trip for them to create new Christmas memories. ❤️❤️
