Whether you're into office, holiday or second chance romance, hot billionaires, small town shenanigans or enemies to lovers intrigue, I'm here to fulfil your reading desires!
There really wasn’t much to it and Taylor comes off as kind of a witch at first but she softens eventually. This is the third book in the series and I’m not sure I’ll read more. My TBR is waaaay too long for 12 books that are just okay.
This was a sweet little story. Nothing too serious or heavy, just a budding romance that takes a while to come to fruition but with great chemistry between the characters. I loved Miles from the first sentences on the page, Taylor took a bit longer to grow on me but she really came into her own.
The story flows nicely and there's a cute little epilogue at the end. It's clearly intended to be a feel good story and it works well as that.
Part of a series but this was a standalone story. I would read more by this author. Currently up on Kindle Unlimited and perfect to read if you like short, instalove stories that manage to not also be "over-the-top".
Taylor is catering a big New Year’s party at the Peppermint Lodge and meets her grumpy neighbor, Miles, a serviceman who had come home the year before and immediately complained about the loud music. Miles is a guest at the party and a surprise to Taylor who didn’t expect to see him there.
When Henry causes a small fire on the stove and blames Taylor, she leaves the building – and quickly gets lost in the woods! Miles goes after her and, when he finds her heading the wrong way deeper into the woods, he rescues her and takes her back to his grandmother’s old cabin to get her out of the cold. Will the two of them use this opportunity to re-evaluate first impressions and get to know the real person underneath? Could they perhaps be willing to start a serious relationship together?
Grab your copy and see where the story takes Taylor and Miles. Is there a HEA waiting for them along the way?
Miles happens to meet Taylor when he goes over to her house to quiet down her New Years Eve Party. They have words and Miles leaves. Taylor is catering a New Years Eve party the next year and while standing by the door her military man Miles. He is just as scrumptious as he as last year. He finds that Taylor is not the party girl he thought she was and they actually find the heat that has simmered between them since the year before. Happy New Years. Miles, oh how I want to take him miles away from civilization. Snow, cabins, neighbors, and parties. What can go wrong? Parties are too loud and too many drunk people trying to get side action. Neighbors can be the best way to meet the hot and the cute. Taylor is such a neighbor that she is having a party with her mates and Miles comes home. Flash of a spark, and the panties get wet.
Taylor and Miles are a treat. Love the story. You will too. *SPOILERS*

After reading this book I had to take a little time to compose myself and get my thoughts clear in my head before I put them in a review. Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.

Really like our couple as people. Taylor is a capable down to earth character. Shes currently working as a caterer at Peppermint Lodge (you have to love the names Snowflake Falls, Peppermint Lodge, so holiday) when she runs into gruff serviceman Miles whom she met only last year when he came to ask her to turn down the music at the party. A year has passed and our couple still think about their one face to face encounter often. It's a great setup for their connection when they eventually run into each other when Miles is a guest at the party Taylor is working. The author has done a good job letting us know a little bit about our MCs despite it being a short read. This is the third in the Snowflake Falls series. A worthy addition.

This story is a unique but very sweet story. It has a theme of giving second chances and not making assumptions about who a person is right when you meet them. I liked that the story center around one day but over three years. it gave the story a definite beginning middle and end. You also get to meet a few side characters that add a bit of drama and give the characters a chance to prove themselves.

An amazing book three in the Snowflake Falls series! It is well written, engaging, emotionally deep, steamy, and quite the page turner. Likeable characters; the chemistry between them is sizzling hot. Definitely recommended!

Opposites attract but the chemistry sizzles in this story. I loved Taylor with her disaster-ridden ways and made the story fun. Miles brought the seriousness to balance her out and sparks just flew.
The book is a good small town military curvy romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have sizzling chemistry. The story is an enjoyable opposites attract romance read.

The timeline is a bit iffy (for me) as this short story takes place over a two year period. Notwithstanding that though, this opposites attract trope sizzles with attraction between accident prone Taylor and straight-laced Miles. It is well written and the setting adds depth to this narrative that leads to a predictable happy-ever-after for the main characters.
This quick read flowed well and held my I interest. The characters were likeable and their story was believable. I liked their connection and their HEA.

Taylor meets Miles when he comes to the door to complain about the loud music. He also helps her out of a situation but nothing between the two happen. A year later she is at the lodge catering for a party when she sees him again. I loved the interaction between the two and it was impossible or to put the book down. Definitely not a book your going to want to miss out on.

When they meet a year later, they get together and fall for each other right away. Miles does seem to have to save Taylor a few times but Taylor stands up for herself at the same time.
This was a sweet little romance story, miles is home on leave when he meets Taylor and gets the wrong impression of her being a party girl. He then finds out a year later that she's a sweet beautiful home body of a girl, they fall quickly in love and have their happily ever after. If you want a quick fast paced Insta romance to read this is for you.

Author: Jessa Joy Title: New Year with the Guy Next Door Pages: 50 Genre: Holiday Romance More info: Amazon, Goodreads
New Year with the Guy Next Door by Jessa Joy is an enemies to lovers holiday romance, part of the Holiday Romance in Snowflake Falls Series. (3) Mile’s and Taylor’s first meeting didn’t go well, but when Taylor sees him at the house she is doing a catering job, the attraction she felt then is back with full swing.
Miles has only his brother since their granny died and now that his brother is away in collage he feels alone at New Year’s Eve. He is about to show a forest trail to one of his old army buddies when he meets again the cute girl that lives next to his grandma’s house. From the moment he lays his eyes on her he wants nothing but to protect her. Maybe this second chance will give them the opportunity to get to know each other.
Well, I usually don’t read books like this. I like books that are more than 200 pages, so I have time to get to know the characters. Here not so much. To be honest, I wasn’t paying attention when I bought this book with the other 200 kindle books at the last stuff your kindle day.
Overall, the book wasn’t bad, I just wish it was longer.
I gave this book 3,5 stars.
Holiday romance/ New Years Eve/ curvy woman/ military guy/ enemies to lovers
I picked this series up part way through and I am now going back to pick up the earlier books I missed. Whilst I enjoyed this book, I can honestly say the series gets better, stronger, sexier and steamier as it progresses. There is nothing wrong with this book but having read later ones first, I can see a difference. The characters have more depth and their sharp edges are a little more rounded, their quirks more endearing rather than annoying. Initially in this book Miles comes across as a bit of an ass, overbearing, abrupt, judgemental and condescending...he isn't. When we get to know him better we see the huge heart and his protective instincts, rather than his overbearing high handedness. And whilst Taylor appears to be a bit of a doormat when it comes to her housemates, I am glad to see her sass and feisty nature when it comes to arrogant entitled idiots trying to take advantage in her work place, she stands up to them perfectly....the last thing they expect from her. I am glad that Taylor and Miles get past their initial meeting and first impressions as they make a lovely couple. And her sass keeps him and his growly protective nature expecting a little chaos at all times. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
Miles and Taylor are neighbors and he doesn't really like her. When Taylor is working a catering job she runs into Miles as he comes to see some friends. One of the men at the party keeps making inappropriate comments to Taylor and when she refuses him its not good. The man then tries to get her fired but before it can happen her boss has to go to the hospital and leaves her in charge. Miles takes him and tells her that he'll be right back to help. Its not long before trouble breaks out. Miles finds her when she is lost on a path in the woods and they end up at his grandmother's old cabin. Things heat up between them and Miles sees that he was wrong about her. Can they have something serious together?
This is a fast paced story that will hook you in the first chapter and leave you wanting more with the last one. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Miles was staying with his Grandma when he was home on leave because she was ill. The next door neighbor was having a New Year’s Eve party that was way to loud. Miles had to go over and try to quiet it down. Tyler, the gal that answered the door was a real looker - she was beautiful. But he got the impression she was a partier. The next time they meet she is catering a party that he was attending and again their eyes connected and lingered. Through the course of the evening, there were some unexpected incidents, accidents, unwelcome advances and Miles had to leave to take Tyler’s boss to the ER. When he returned Tyler had set out on her own to walk through the storm to get home. There are ups and downs on this bumpy road and you will wonder if they will get to the same conclusion. It is a wonderful, fantastic read and I think you will love it!

This quick holiday read was a pretty decent read. The characters seemed to stereotype each other based off of their first impressions of each other. The plot had some conflict in it making the characters come together and get their chance to find their happiness with each other. This is the third in a series and I have read all of them; I can honestly say they can all be read as standalones without any problems.
I give this a four out of fives stars. The plot was okay and the characters really made the story come together.

New Year with the Guy Next Door is a great story that will have you glue to your seat as the character navigate through the pain of of loss, misunderstandings, and their pride.
Miles and Taylor first meet when Miles went over to his grandmother's neighbors to ask them to lower the noise. A year later they run into each other again on New Years Eve, while Taylor is working an event. I love the connection and chemistry between Miles and Taylor, and when Miles realizes he misjudged Taylor made me melt in my seat.
I really have enjoyed the story by this author and look for the next one.

Miles and Taylor meet at New Years when he complains about the noise. Fast forward and there is another party. Taylor is blamed for some incident and she leaves and gets lost in the woods. Miles goes after her because he thinks she is hot. He takes her to his grandma's cabin to get out of the cold. Is it out of the cold and into the fire. I loved the characters and how they came together a year later, and they get to know each other, the real people. I loved the characters and their interaction. Great quick read.

The Heart Knows What It Wants - I love a good enemies to lovers romance and this story definitely made it worth my time. Miles is a straight laced military alpha male and Taylor is a stubborn, no-nonsense, feisty and independent woman, who seem to have enough heat between them to burn your fingers as you turn the pages. They always seem to find themselves having antagonistic interactions since the first time they met, that is until they give into their carnal feeling and have a wild unbridled night of pleasure. They finally acknowledge their chemistry and realise they were meant to be together. I will be happy to recommend this book to anyone looking for a wonderful read.
Taylor is into cooking and Miles is on active military service, home for New Years Eve with his grandmother and brother. They cross paths that year and the next New Years Eve, with situations that confuse them but the emotions and feelings say something else. Caught in a snowstorm, near their cabin, Miles find Taylor and gets her safe and warm. Sparks ignite between them and friends support them. One more year and now they add a third on New Years Eve. Life is great.

They met a year ago under not good conditions. Now, he's back home dealing with the aftermath of the death of his grandmother. She still lives next door, but he has the wrong impression of her. Will he stand up for her? Can he save her in time?
This is a very short holiday themed novella - military man, clumsy woman, age gap, enemies to lovers, plus sized FMC. Smut was 2/5 on the spice scale and it’s a HEA believe it or not.
Miles was our MMC, he’s got a bee in his bonnet about life and I don’t blame him but the soft spot he has?? Had me giggling and kicking my feet!
Taylor was a lil silly, classic “I can do it myself” girl and it’s like… baby WHY SHOULD YOU?? But she learns and I’m good with that.
