Winter is here, and the first Christmas that Tanaka-san and Irie-kun will spend together as a couple approaches. The two of them make plans to bake a cake together at Tanaka-san's place. As Christmas begins, they're both a little it's the first time she's invited a boy over, and the first time he's been in a girl's room. In the midst of it, Irie-kun works up the courage to ask for their second kiss... The heat of their love grows stronger in volume 8.
The pair continue to grow as a couple; this installment focuses on how they support one another. Tanaka-san invites Irie-kun over for Christmas dinner, and he helps her make a cake for dessert. Irie-kun catches a nasty cold from a classmate, and Tanaka-san visits and cares for him. Tanaka-san goes home to see her parents after their trip but gets their return date mixed up (and doesn't have a key to the house), so Irie-kun rushes over to keep her company until her parents return.
I am really enjoying the sweetness of this series.
I loved this one. This one was what I thought the last one would be. Nobuko and Hiroki are still tentative and unsure, but they are more confident with one another than they were previously. They’re starting to turn to each other more with issues rather than apologizing. I really, really liked this volume. Still innocent and sweet and slow burn, but definitely progressing!
I so greatly enjoy this series. It's slow yet smooth pace is so very relaxing.
Tanaka is the adorable girl-next-door type. Timid as a mouse, easily embarrassed, always unsure, worries about being pushy in a relationship. I think it makes her that much cuter. I absolutely love her huge, dark eyes, and shoulder length black hair. Those mousy little gals like that are usually total freaks and are just addictive. Irie obviously feels the same, as he's fallen in love hard for the quiet, timid, unassuming cashier at the local supermarket. I just can't get over how adorable and sweet Tanaka is. As for Irie, he's obviously a great catch himself. He thoughtful, kind, caring, loving, devoted, helpful, handsome, and a complete gentleman. Boy is that hard to find these days! I will continue to read and enjoy this simple yet touching love story. I always get so excited when the release date is announced for each new volume.
The sweetness and love in this story just keeps on coming and frankly I will be quite sad when I’m all caught up to date on this series and I can’t keep bingeing these books. They are VERY addictive!
In this volume things are moving along for our couple and Christmas is looming - what will they do to spend the most romantic day of the year together? And then, what about New Year? After a schedule mishap leaves Nobuko stranded will Tanaka be able to rescue her?
I love how relaxing and feel-good this manga is, it just lightens up your heart and makes you feel happy despite everything. In this volume, Nobuko and Hiroki spend a sweet first Christmas together and in the end, Hiroki rushes to her side when he finds out that she’s having trouble. I really love the dynamic chemistry they have, it’s subtle but passionate at the same time. I can’t wait to see how their New Years went in the next volume.
These two are just so cute and adorable!!!! The way he went to work to walk her home late at night to just see her. The way she went to him when he was sick to when they spent Christmas together. Then how she mis read when her parents were to come home to spend the New Years. He came to her on the little island by a faster boat. I love how they share they feeling with each other.
3.5ish The series is cute, but starting to feel a bit aimless. It's very slow, with the couple taking one 'big' step per volume, which is fine, but the surrounding plot has fallen off a bit for me too. Things that were cute earlier on, the store, their coworkers, etc, aren't around as much. There also hasn't been a swoony moment between the main couple for a while.
Talk about a slow burn, lol! Seriously, though, the characters are super cute and remind me of my high school days (although they're supposedly in college). Can't wait until the rest is uploaded in English.
This is such a cute and relaxing read. I’ve read the entire series now and I recommend it to anyone who would like to de-stress. The characters are so sweet and the art is as well!!
The relationship seems to move a little faster in this one. I love the way they talk things out and make decisions together. I'm quickly running out of books left in this series and it's making me sad but I really love watching them grow as a couple.
It's a little strange how Nobuko is in love with Hiroki but she still can't talk to Fumi about it even though Fumi is the only friend we have seen her with outside of her co-workers.
The whole discussion about formality definitely gets lost in translation
This is my new favorite volume in the series. It was so cute and I am loving how their relationship is developing. The whole thing just makes me smile.
I love how we finally got to see a little background between Fumi-chan and the main character. I also love how they are starting to communicate better.
