I could have also lost my virginity to some nice Texas cowboy who wanted to introduce me to his mother.
But instead, I went to Germany and ended up fighting Mercenaries.
I also fell in love with a Vampire King who claimed me as his.
And now I’m in the river and all because I decided not to just stay home and do my laundry.
No instead… I shot a pilot.

Amelia
Lego sets, Star Trek and junk food in my pajamas,
These used to be how I would spend my safe and lazy days off.
Now, what am I doing with my time…?
High-speed chases, running from Hellhounds, fighting witches, opening boxes that threaten the entire Vampire race, and stabbing bitches with my shoes.
But hey, at least I get to wear a pretty dress on my date. Now all I can hope for is that it isn’t one where people end up shooting at us again.
That would be nice.

Can't Believe I Got Sick of This Series
Seriously there are elements of these books ie 1-4 in the Transfusion Saga that I loved...but by the end of Book 4 I was bored and felt frustrated with the ongoing issues in Lucia's and Amelia/Fae's relationship which totally bogged down book 4. Further, Amelia is only 27 years old compared to Lucias 2,000 plus so yes there is always going to be a maturity gap, how could there not be, but it is constantly pushed in the reader's face causing the plot to slow and become repetitive and boring. So much so I decided I couldn't be bothered continuing with the series and searched the web for a summary that incidentally reinforced my decision to not continue with the series. I'm honestly sick of Amelia's on-going insecurities and could not face another 8-9 books where her immaturity guides the plot line and their love/hate relationship is dragged out even more.
Frankly, while I do feel Stephanie Hudson is an excellent storyteller, her editor needs a refresher course. There is no excuse for allowing a story that could have been done in two books continue over four. Two books would have ensured a fast-paced, exhilarating adventure and love story, which would have made me want to continue with the series. As it stands, the prospect of eight more books in this love/hate style have me ditching the series after Book 4 because I just can't face more of the same.

I really want to love this series. The plot is so good and entertaining and right up my alley. But the grammar mistakes irk me and repetitive use of the same turn of phrases within the same paragraph annoy me. But, I could probably read past that to be honest.

What I get SO tired of, is that she feels insecure in their relationship. And she tells him ALL. THE. TIME. And his response is always to just f**k her in response. Or he does something that upsets her and she tries to talk to him about it? You guessed it. He just ends up f**king her. I don’t mind that there’s sex in the book. It would not bother me if sometimes instead of talking through their issues, they had sex instead. But it’s super annoying to have this couple go through the same issues over and over and over and over again because they never talk about anything, they just f**k and think “oh I love you again” which is not how relationships work. Hence why their relationship issues are literally never resolved and the FMC never feels secure in the relationship.

I can't finish this
And I regret having bought the three box sets of Transfusion.
Amelia is a strong intelligent young woman who doesn't take cr** from anyone. Except Lucius, it seems.
What I don't like are two things: Lucius needs to say the word "fuck" in nearly every sentence and he needs to shout to exert his authority. He's back to being a one-dimensional character. In Afterlife he grew and became interesting. After 20+ years waiting for his Chosen One he's returned to being the one-dimensional jerk he began as in Afterlife. And Amelia swallows everything as if it is the biggest turn-on in the world!

I'm sorry Stephanie Hudson, but I can't finish the Transfusion series. I also will not be buying the Vincent Draven series.

More!!!
So I didn't think anything could beat afterlife, but I am so very happy to say I was wrong ! I fell in love with lucius from the first time he was introduced to afterlife! I do however have two questions like why if after the clock tower scene when luc got a glimpse of his chosen one that he still confessed his love to Keira when she was Katie and stole a passionate kiss ? And why does luc say I wish it didn't hurt so fu**ing much to touch you to ameila it was never explained and I want to know why it hurts him??? Now my deepest wish is for ameila and Keira to have to go back in the past together to save the world for some reason like dom and luc were cursed or died or something and they need to make them fall in love with them in a different time period I loved when she went to Persia and there are so many ways to go like the fates made luc feel love for Keira it would be so interesting to see what he would do and how he would struggle with these new feelings and I want to see them grow closer as mother and daughter because we don't see much of there relationship so extend this series to say 100 books to start there's just so much I want to see them go through it is endless possibilities and I can't get enough!!!!

I should be able to give it no stars as ugh .... I’m no quitter but at chapter 12 I had to chunk it in .I was so excited to read this book as I love all things vampire but.....the leading lady of the book is a spineless jellyfish!!!! When ever the king is around she can’t form a sentence with out stuttering and when he’s yelling and cussing her she’s looking at the floor and let’s not forget she forgot to buy toilet paper so we get to hear those gross 🤮 shenanigans. That I could do with out , didn’t add to the book at all. If you like Miele, whinny, sniveling leading ladies ... then this is just the book for you. Such a huge disappointment!!!!

I can’t get enough of saga! It’s my second time reading it through and still can’t put it down! Vampire King Lucius is hands down the absolute sexiest character EVER conceived! And heroine Amelia is the sweetest, funniest kick-ass little sexy nerd. All Ms. Hudson’s characters are so fully developed and imaginative, they just want to jump off the page. Vampires, demons, witches, Druids, angels all woven masterfully together into a hot love story that you never want to end! Thank you Stephanie Hudson for bringing this world to life! S. Bollinger

Keeps Going On and On and On
Ok. I do not like cliffhangers. I typically stay away from them but I decided to try this set. Jesus take the wheel. I did not know there were going to be a gazillion books. I stopped after book 4. It isn’t worth my time to read 12 books. The ones I read were ok but no enough for me to keep going. The characters were just blah and a little on the immature side. So I’m stopping here.

Absolutely addictive!!!
I have already finished her Afterlife Saga and quickly started this series the same day. Needless to say Stephanie doesn't disappoint. I can honestly say that I will read anything and everything that she writes as well. I am so excited for every single one of the new books she has coming.

Awesome!!
Man! I absolutely love this series! This box set was the way to go to get dropped into the story of Amelia and Lucius.
The Vampire King and his Chosen One is looking to be an epic love story…with plenty of fighting, plenty of steam, with some angst thrown in for good measure.
I am so looking forward to reading the remaining books!

Disjointed.
Crazy monologue.

Best Series Evrer
Stephanie Hudson is by far one of the best writers I have ever had the pleasure of reading! Her stories are thrilling, romantic, funny, tender, with a little dirty thrown in to round it out . I definitely recommend them as a must read

You really should read the Afterlife series before this one. I didn't but am following along. It's good Amelia is a mess, but an extremely resourceful one. Lucius is everything broody and vampiric.

The ups and the downs
At first I thought, oh no another wishy -wasn't female with an alpha male character. Then the story changed as Amelia showed she is badass like Lucius. This box set has action, adventure AND steaminess.

I wanted to love these books…unfortunately that’s not how it’s going. The storyline is decent and the characters, I do really like. However, there is soooooooo much rambling that the story gets lost and it’s annoying.

the worst book I attempted to read this year
I couldn’t even get 10 pages in…what the hell is this writing style? Half of the sentences don’t even make sense, the whole thing feels so disjointed. I am honestly alarmed at the high reviews this book has. Who wrote those?!

Very good stories
This is my second time rereading Afterlife and the Transfusion series and I'm enjoying them as much as I did the first time. I would definitely recommend that they are to be read.
