You’ll want to have a lump of coal on hand when you find out who makes the naughty list in this year’s frosty caper!
Kennedy Layne is a USA Today bestselling author. She draws inspiration for her romantic thrillers in part from her not-so-secret second life as a wife of a retired Marine Master Sergeant. He doubles as her critique partner, beta reader, and military consultant. Kennedy also has a deep love for cozy mysteries, thrillers, and basically any book that can keep her guessing until the very end. They live in the Midwest with their menagerie of pets. The loyal dogs and mischievous cats appreciate her writing days as much as she does, usually curled up in front of the fireplace.
Frosty Blend (Paramour Bay Book #15) The Paramour Bay Series by Kennedy Layne proved to be full of fun cozy mysteries full of paranormal intrigue, and heartwarming charm. Set in the enchanting seaside town of Paramour Bay, the series follows Raven Marigold, who is a relatable and endearing character who discovers she’s a witch. From the very first book, I was drawn into a world filled with magical mishaps, quirky townsfolk, and a touch of humor that kept the tone light and engaging. Paramour Bay came alive with its quaint shops, mysterious coves, and a community that’s as eccentric as it is lovable. Ms. Layne’s writing style is approachable and immersive, making it so easy for me to lose myself in the pages (in a great way – NOT in a ‘I have no idea of what’s going on’ way 😊). Each book introduces a new mystery, often tied to the supernatural, and the twists are clever without being overly complex - perfect for fans of cozy mysteries. So, whether you’re a fan of paranormal tales, cozy mysteries, or simply looking for a feel-good series to curl up with, Paramour Bay is a magical escape that will leave you smiling. It’s a perfect brew of mystery, magic, and heart. Highly recommended for readers who enjoy a touch of whimsy with their whodunits. Let the Binge Begin. Happy Reading…

This is a good cozy mystery full of fun and misunderstanding. Kennedy Layne writes a very good cozy mystery. I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited. This in no way affects my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.
I like this series about a woman finding out that she's a witch after inheriting a tea shop from he grandmother. The plot and subplots move quickly. However it is hard to flow through the book because Leo, Raven's familiar is constantly talking about catnip, squirrels, his soulmate and his VVBFF. It very often doesn't make any sense and actually detracts from the story. I will continue reading the series, but I would enjoy it more of Leo's comments were reduced.
I really like this series and Kennedy Layne is an excellent author. With that said, I do wish that the character introductions were in a prologue instead of the first chapter in ever single book of the series. I'm tired of reading the same paragraphs in every single book.
This is one series I am really enjoying. I know all things must come to an end...eventually. But how about not any time soon. I would like this one to go on for a while. You know until Raven finds out about her father, gets married, and has kids of her own. I'm still hopeful her Nan will make an appearance when the vail is thin.
I absolutely love all these books! Best series ever. Entertaining characters and fun story lines. Love Leo, Ravens snarky familiar, he is hilarious. Heidi is Raven’s loyal friend and always there to help her out of sticky situations. Once u read a book in this series u will be hooked!❤️
I love the characters in this series. Especially Leo and Ted. I would love to see more from Count Cuddles. The mysteries are starting to get a little simplistic though. I would love just a little more pages.
The story itself isn't bad but the editing is horrible. Mispelled words, horrible grammar, it really kind of ruins the story for me when I keep seeing it. And the obnoxious cat repeating the same things over and over is a bit much
I liked reading more about Raven and her familiar, Leo. I enjoyed the search for unexplained and threatening notes. Raven's mother is getting married, and she is in charge of the arrangements, not a lot of fun.
When a witch is marrying a vampire and starts getting notes left te!!ing her not to get married-d the will her daughter be able to find the culprit and solve a murder? Fun reading
If you want a good laugh and a good series to read buy this series. The cat Leo will have you laughing out loud while you read along and try to solve their mysteries.
A Christmas wedding, what could be better, and in Paramour Bay, home to humans and supernatural residents alike (witches, wizard, vampire, golems, druid) as well as Mr Leo, familiar to Raven, one of the witches.
Raven's Mum, also a witch, is getting married to Beetle (ex accountant who retired and now works in Raven's teashop, he's also Mr Leo's VVBFF Vampire Very Best Friend Forever, mainly because he keeps him supplied with blueberry catnip treats). Unfortunately, a series ofpp accidents start to happen, causing Raven to suspect someone doesn't want the wedding to go ahead! When Rowena (Raven's Mum gets a note threatening Beetle, then action needs to be taken!
As always, a great read which are easily finished in a few hours; which are best read in order to preserve the continuity of the overall storyline.
This was a fun holiday read. Raven Marigold and her familiar cat Leo are on the case of who is leaving notes discouraging Raven's mother from marrying the vampire Beetle. Raven believes these notes have to be left by someone locally. I enjoyed following along as Raven and Leo solved the mystery. I really enjoyed all the ways Leo planned to get out of having to wear a bow tie at the wedding while being the ringbearer.
