This book does contain a lot of what I was looking for when I picked it up - meaning, that icy, snowy forest atmosphere you can only get when talking about the big alaskan outdoors. But to be frank, it was quite boring. It's written in such a matter-of-fact way that just goes on and on for pages without much flavor. Or maybe it's just the writing style that didn't click with me. I don't know ! There were some parts I did like, parts that did make me feel wonderment, but for the most part, I kind of slugged through that book, even though it's only 240 pages long.
