An emotional story of second chances, deception, intrigue, and the undeniable strength of love, Destroyed With You was an action-packed addition to J. Kenner’s Stark Security series.

You can count on J. Kenner for a solid plot and lots of heat in her books. And she doesn’t scrimp on the genuine emotions, either. Destroyed With You was all of that plus it had a thread of suspense (our couple was on the run) that made me not want to put it down, it had me so hooked right from the start. Kenner’s attention to detail and evocative writing style was perfect for this type of fast-moving storyline, with so many characters and moving parts to keep track of. She made it easy to get swept away. Which is one of my favorite things about her books... Read More

Winston has been an empty shell of a man since losing his wife. Then he's called in for a mission that he will take a particular interest in, and everything he had thought he knew is turned on its head. Will revenge rule him now? Or will love win out?

Linda thought what she had felt before wasn't real, but when secrets come out, betrayals are exposed, and she and Winston have to band together to take on the people who've been lying to them all this time, manipulating them, will she realize that what they had was real all along?

Second chance romances are one of my favorite tropes, and when combined with the right amount of suspense and action like here in Destroyed With You, then they're even better. Winston was my favorite with his steadfast heart, his sweet, protective nature, and his fierce love for someone he thought had betrayed him. A great secondary cast, chemistry in spades, and the perfect balance of action and relationship make for a great romantic suspense read.

If you love romantic suspense with LOADS of heat than this one is for you. J. Kenner brings another addictive story that will suck you from the start and you’ll read it in one sitting.

Winston has been a shell of a man since his wife Linda. He’s just going through the motions at this point, that is until he founds who the wife he thought was dead, really isn’t. Of course, finding out this information is just the tip of the iceberg.

I love Winston. He is strong, caring, and 100% alpha. Linda takes some getting used to, but she is a fighter and she is strong. I love the chemistry between Winston and Linda and I love that you can still feel their connection and their love for one another.

From page one this story will have you on the edge of your seat and take you on a crazy suspenseful ride. A MUST READ!

OMG! I did not see this one coming! Kenner kills it with the mystery and suspense with Destroyed with You. I did not see a lot coming and there is a lot of uncertainties. My heart breaks for the Winston and Linda. I could not figure out how these two could get their HEA. It was a dark place for both of them and I just wanted the sun to shine on them a little longer.

Destroyed with You will make your heart speed up and get through each page as if my book world counted on it! This book is thrilling and addicting!! #BookRec2020

5 Everything Is NOT As It Seems Stars!!

Holy Moly!!! This book had me at the edge of my seat with the intense action and emotions from Winston and Linda… and when it gets to the point where everything is going down??? My mouth was hanging open!!

What started off as potential revenge for Winston because of what he sees changes how he remembered the love of his life. His life took a complete nose dive on a mission that went wrong and he blames himself for what happened. Imagine his surprise when Linda is not only alive, but not who she used to be or at least what he thought she was anyway.

This book is filled with a heightened sense of suspense. There’s white knuckle moments where Winston and Linda are on the receiving end of some very unsavory people and there’s so many questions as to the how’s and why’s these people know exactly what their next moves will be.

Along with the trying to keep alive, the emotions that Winston and Linda used to have for each other are bubbling again at the surface, but can they trust them because everything they thought they knew about each other turns out to not be accurate!

I loved everything about this book. It gave me everything I look for from a romantic suspense book….intrigue, action, secrets, passion is many forms and a satisfying ending that resolves questions, but also gives an amazing lead in to the next book in this amazing series written by one of my very favorite authors!!

Kobo+ Contemporary Romance Series Challenge 2024. Tropes: Romance/Mystery, Spy/Law Enforcement, First Love Second Time Around, Friends/Family,
I gave this 4 stars.
MC's H Winston Starr,(Winston Noble, real surname Kellogg, works for Stark Security but on loan to SOC for a job involving his (dead wife, not) h Linda Starr (Michelle Moon, came back from the dead, undercover spy working for a corrupt boss). Winston's parents Miriam & Dale Kellogg own a movie theater in Llano Texas. Guessing ages for Winston 35.
Both Winston and Linda/Michelle were spies working undercover for the Government, when they were married. Now Winston is on loan to the SOC (Andrew Seagrave) from Stark Security and Linda/Michell is still a spy working under her handler Collin in I-9 ? They both trust their bosses, but is one of them dirty? or someone else?

M/F Second chance romance
Triggers: Hidden because they may contain spoilers.

Winston has been a shell of his former self since his wife, Linda, was murdered by a consortium who he was after. He never told her what he truly did for a job – he didn't protect the one person who meant the most to him. Now, working for Stark Security, Winston is brought in on a case that only he can solve and he will confront his worst fear. He will have to choose between love and duty, and he is not sure if they can mesh together.

Linda knows that she has to figure out what is going on. Secrets are part of the job, but she misses her old life. She hates knowing what love is and losing it; it is horrible and she wouldn't wish it on her worst enemy. When she is sent on another job, the last person she expects to see is Winston. All of her boxed up emotions come flooding back and she is helpless against him.

As Winston and Linda race against the clock to figure out the mystery behind their lives, their love will resurface, and both will have to decide if secrets and their jobs can work together. It's a fast-paced story that will leave you breathless. I can't wait to see what more comes from this series. Each book is exciting and won't leave you disappointed.

This is the fifth book in the series. I would definitely recommend that you read them all – so good! – but you could enjoy this as a standalone if you accept that you will not understand all the dynamics between the teams.

Really, this is the ultimate in second-chance romances, as Winston truly believed his wife to be dead and was still in mourning years later. So, when he is shown footage of her killing an agent in cold blood, he is doubly shocked, and betrayed by her... and yet he just doesn't want to acknowledge that he never knew the woman he loved so dearly.

What a great set up for a very intense and twist-laden story. I loved every minute of it, as I had every confidence that J. Kenner would deliver an excellent story for Winston, and give us a catch up on the rest of the team that we have grown to know and love.

Destroyed With You is the 5th book in the Stark Security series by J. Kenner. I cannot believe that we are on book 5, it still feels like we are early in the series and I was a little shocked to see it on GR. Each book can really be read as a stand-alone. The main characters from the previous books, appear as secondary here though.

I have two sore spots when it comes to this book and neither is anything big, so yes, I would recommend this book. The third is Emma and her mentioning a menage she had. I really disliked her book and I didn't need a reminder as to why I did. Unlike her book, DWY actually has a plot and it's not filled with an island full of people doing the deed (trying to keep it PG 13 here for 'zon). The second thing is that I don't recall if either Winston or Linda mentioned sleeping with someone else during the time they were apart. I don't like not knowing. As you can see both things are trivial and I don't think that they will turn a reader away from the book.

I liked reading about Linda and Wiston as they working together to bring the bad guys down. Their whole time in the hotel room was very exciting to read (and no, it's not what you think) about and there was some suspense because the big bad guy is unknown that kept me hooked. I didn't doubt that either of them stopped loving the other during their years apart and they are my second favorite couple in the series.

The fact that I was watching "Chuck" the week I got to read the book, also added to the hype, because I felt like these two had a lot of things in common. Overall, I enjoyed the book because it has assassins, explosions and a couple who finally got their chance to live their happily ever after.

5 Star Review Destroyed With You (Stark Security #5) by J Kenner

In my opinion, this series is getting better and better. This is Stark Security agent Winston Starr’s story and what a story it was. From the first chapter till the last I was drawn into the story that Ms. Kenner wove. I love romantic suspense stories and this one was particularly good. Destroyed With You is well written, fast paced, full of suspense and a passionate story.

Devastated by the death of the woman he loved, Linda, Winston has left Texas and embarked on a new career with Stark Security. Shocked to learn that everything that he believed true was in fact a lie, he is blown away to discover that Linda is actually alive and even worse, she faked her own death. Determined to get to the bottom of it, Winston is focused on discovering the truth.

When danger rears it’ head , not only Linda but Winston, will be in grave danger and will be forced to run. Together again, the sparks that once sizzled between them are just as intense as they once were. Can Winston forgive Linda’s betrayal ,come to terms with the past and together move on to the life that they deserve. Their journey will be rocky but if they can survive it, it will be worth it in the end.

We enjoyed this story the plot was twisted and engaging.

We enjoyed the characters Linda, Winston, and the crew. I loved Winston that man was a sweetheart even when he was pissed and trying to keep his emotions in check he still wore his heart on his sleeve.

We loved the complication and the mystery that surrounded the two characters. We loved seeing the broken trust and man being rebuilt.

Linda was a character that you loved to hate especially for the pain she causes Winston but, as the story progresses her actions start to make sense whether they were right or wrong she did what she did out of love.

Overall the story was easy-going filled with a bit of suspense, secrets, lies, healing, and love, and all about second chances. The couples cards are all on the table now, and it's up to them to solve the mystery and put to rest the dangers that plague them once and for all!

Destroyed with You (A Stark Security Novel) J Kenner
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Destroyed with You is the fifth book in the Stark Security series and certainly a must read.
Packed with secrets and lies, betrayal and a heaping dose of vengeance and intrigue, this story will have you on the edge of your page.
Brilliantly developed characters and relationships will draw you in and Kenner’s story delivery is, as always, flawless.
This story was everything I’ve come to expect and a whole lot more from a Stark novel and Julie Kenner. A definite recommendation to read, not only this book but the series.

The Stark security series is about a tight knit close firm. They all started out as friends but now they are family.

This book starts off with us learning Winston was married. He still can't find himself moving on. I love reading a book where you don't really know who the bad guy is.  That is not very predictable makes the suspense better.

What a ending one minute you think they will start living happily ever after and then a car bomb happens.  I don't want to give to many details but you will be happy with the ending. I can't wait to read Renlys book.

DESTROYED WITH YOU is the fifth instalment in J.Kenners contemporary, adult STARK SECURITY erotic, romantic suspense series a spin off from the authors numerous STARK series. This is former sheriff and Stark Security specialist Winston Starr, and his wife Linda Starr’s story line. DESTROYED WITH YOU can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary.

Told from first person perspective (Linda) and third person (Winston) DESTROY WITH YOU follows four years after the car bomb that killed Winston Starr’s wife Linda, a bomb in which very little evidence remained but a surveillance video reveals that Winston’s wife is alive and well, and apparently an assassin for hire for the other side. On loan from Stark Security, working for his former employer at the SOC (Sensitive Operations Command) Winston Starr’s assignment is to take down his one-dead wife, and the man with whom she currently works. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Winston and Linda, and the potential fall-out as our couple quickly realize that one or both have been regrettably played.

Linda Starr aka Michelle Moon had been working deep ops when her superiors decided it was time to come home but Linda had married Winston Starr, and the only way to move forward was to destroy the man with whom she had fallen in love. Never expecting to see Winston again, Linda soon discovers that working with her husband reveals a number of secrets and lies, lies that place our couple in the direct line of fire.

The relationship between Winston and Linda is one of second chances but a relationship destroyed by secrets and lies, undercover operations, and a security night mare. Winston had mourned the death of his wife for close to four years; Linda struggled to move forward believing her relationship with Winston had been predicated upon a number of lies. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Winston’s boss at SOC Colonel Anderson Seagrave; Linda’s boss at ID-9 (Inteligence Division Nine) Billy Hawthorne; accountant Tommy Bartlett, as well as Winston’s parents Dale and Miriam Kellogg; SSA specialist Noah Carter and Hollywood consultant Renly Cooper. We are reintroduced to Stark Security specialists Antonio Santos and Emma Tucker, Nikka’s business partner and tech specialist Abby Jones, as well as Damien and Nikki Stark, and Ryan and Jamie Hunter. Abby and Renly’s story line is next in MEMORIES OF YOU.

DESTROYED WITH YOU is a story of secret, lies, vengeance and betrayal. The premise is intriguing and engaging; the rekindling romance is sexy and provocative; the characters are energetic, charismatic and strong. Once again, I dislike the use of a certain four-letter word in my romance story lines, often used more for shock value than anything else.

We loved Winston for all that he did for Emma in the past when they knew each other and we now that his past is haunted. There are things that he’ll share and parts of himself that he’ll keep closed off because he’s lost too much in his life – as is the case it seems with everyone who’s in the SSA world. We know that he went under cover for SOC to take down the Consortium and in doing that he lost his wife. Linda was killed in a car bomb and that broke him more than he could have ever fathomed.

So fast forward a few years when Winston gets a call from his old boss at SOC with some interesting information. Linda isn’t dead – and she’s actually an assassin. This means that everything that Winston though he knew about life and her was a lie, and while he didn’t reveal who he truly was to her, he eels that her lies betray even more.

This story takes us on the journey that Winston takes to not only find the truth but to give himself some sort of resolution and closure to what he considers to be one of his biggest mistakes ever.

What they both come to find is that nothing is what it seems. They both believe that they are working assignments for the good guy but quickly learn that perhaps no one is good -everyone is dirty and can be bought for the right price. They go on the run to find answers, knowing that it means they’l have to spend time together and hopefully reveal the truth of what their pasts truly was and figure out what that means for their future.

They played each other in the past and they play each other now still. There’s a huge question of who’s going to get hurt in the crossfire and who’s going to come and save them. Because the first part of the assignment takes them to Texas, we see Noah come back into the mix a bit. The tech whiz who haw more tricks up his sleeve than any one else out there. We also know that Emma will play a role here again as well since she was close with Winston over the years and even knew Linda.

They go from Texas to LA, and are forced to kill, lie, cheat and break into a vault all in the hopes of getting answers. We all know where this is going to end up, but what we get in the meantime Is a story of fact finding and finding a path back. I think that it’s really sweet how they slowly let their walls down but still have so much fear of what the other can do to hurt them again. There’s a chemistry that’s undeniable between them and while it’s just for this assignment that they agree to let things play out, it at least come out in a hot and steamy manner.

And in true J Kenner form, we have an intro to our new leading couple for the next book – Reny a new agent for SSA and Abby who’s Nikki’s partner for her tech firm. So all that in hand, i’m excited for the next installment of this series

After enjoying all the Stark novels, I was deeply intrigued by Winston, the sexy sheriff from the last books and man, did this book live up to expectations! J. Kenner takes us on a wild and sexy ride when the wife he thought was dead, the woman he mourned, reappears as the centerpoint in a new mission.

Winston Starr barely survived the death of his beloved wife, not because he was injured but because her death shattered him into millions of tiny pieces. He's slowly pieced his life back together as a Stark operative but even the mention of Linda, or even Texas, is almost enough to send him spiraling. Imagine how he feels to learn she's alive and his new mission is to find her before deadlier things start to occur. Looking at her familiar face, he realizes he never knew this woman; a woman who could betray him so deeply. But even knowing she's a liar, he cannot evade the feelings that batter him; an overwhelming sense of betrayal wars with the fierce attraction, the familiarity, the fickle joy of knowing she's alive. But when she explains their past, he doesn't know who to trust. Racing against time and deadly forces, he must decide if he can trust the people who helped put him back together or the ghost standing before him.

Y'all... whoa. This book was a thrill ride from beginning to end. As is Kenner's style, action and intrigue carry the reader from one chapter to the next but it's the sexy love between Winston and Linda that your senses will ride upon. These two characters are so raw and emotional and somehow feel really real despite the fantastical nature of their being. Both are tortured by their pasts and riddled with regret but their love is a tangible extra character that demands it not be ignored. You'll ache for them, you'll root for them and you'll cheer for them. Excellent, excellent book to add to the Stark series!

I have one word for Destroyed With You by J. Kenner. UNPUTDOWNABLE. I just couldn't stop reading as the story sucked me in this adrenaline fuelled vortex of suspense, steam and emotions. What a dangerous and dirty romantic suspense!

Winston Starr has been a dead man since he lost his wife Linda years back in a car bomb explosion in the small town in Texas where he was undercover as the sheriff. He is with Stark Security Agency now. His world is turned upside down when his old commander informs him that his wife is alive. Not only alive, but working as a paid assassin for the very criminal organisation he helped to take down in Texas. Torn between duty and emotions, he set out to bring Linda in. Only to know secrets never end.

Like all other books of this series, this story is an exciting combination of suspense, drama, heat and feels. My heart broke for Winston as he battled his pain, anger, betrayal and everything. He is the kind of man who loves with everything. Loyal. Dominating. Caring. Strong. I did hate Linda initially for hurting Winston but then the story unfolds and I come to love her! She is one of the strongest and most resilient women ever. I admire badass heroines and she is on top of her game! They have insane chemistry. The kind that melts panties and kindle. They literally walked through fire to reach their happily ever after. The journey was violent and risky. Full of doubts and trust issues and guilt. But I just loved how they worked as true partners and defeated everything.

J. Kenner writes the most delicious and addictive romantic suspense and Destroyed With You was just like that. You are in for a ride and you will enjoy every moment.

Betrayed - Double Crossed - Compromised
Who do you trust?

After the death of his wife, Winston was going through the motions just existing not truly living. He blamed himself for her death.

Linda (Michelle ) was a chameleon. She had her secrets, reasons that she felt justified her "untimely" death. It was for the best she had to believe that.

Years later thrown together by a betrayal that neither could have foreseen they find their pasts have finally caught up with them.
All those half-truths and deceptions done in the name of the greater good have come to light.
Not sure who is to be trusted they comprise and agree on middle ground.
For now.
Both weary
Both needing the trust of the other to uncover the traitor

The problem with being a curator of duplicity is when you finally tell the truth
No one believes you

This was am amazingly even blend of suspense and action wrapped up in a heartfelt second chance romance
Winston never questioned his heart. Sure, he was weary and tentative if his heart was in control or his head.
But either way, he was all in.
He knew she was still the moon to his stars.
Linda provided a strong front she knew she had hurt Winston but she felt like her choices were the right ones. She had hurt all those years as well. Now she had a chance to make things right.

The chemistry between them had an almost IDK primal-
like oxygen to life - feel.
They were meant to be
Just took them some time to get it right
Wait till you get to the double double-cross
Don't worry it ends on a happy for now 😘

This is part of a series that can easily be read as a standalone.

This is the fifth book in the Stark Security Series and it is Winston’s story. Like many of the author’s books, she not only sucks the reader in but deftly crafts her words to immerse one in the storyline. Winston was beside himself after he lost his wife Linda and is not really living but existing. Fast forward a few years and new footage reveals that the wife he thought he lost may not really be dead and this new found information leads him on the case of his life to get to the truth. However, what he unearths is much more than anyone could have anticipated. From the first page readers are drawn to Winston and his determination to get to the truth. He is strong, committed and passionate. Linda is his match. A woman who knows who she is and has the training to back it up. In some ways, I was reminded of the classic television show Hart to Hart where husband and wife, Jonathan and Jennifer, worked well as a team and had each other’s backs no matter what they became involved in. Overall, this is one story filled with drama, suspense, betrayal, lies and above all a never-ending love that can stand the test of time. Also, at one point procuring goosebumps with an unexpected twist so get ready. Ms. Kenner just keeps getting better and better when it comes to this series and I cannot wait to see what she has coming next with what I hope will be Renly and Abbie’s story. This is one book you will not be able to put down! I volunteered to read a copy of this book.

Destroyed With You
Stark Security #5
J. Kenner
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We’ve met Winston Starr preciously in this series, as an operative he’s normally neck deep in investigations, but he’s about to find himself smack bandage in the middle of one that is way to close to home. Finding out his newest case is a woman assassinating some bad guys, that woman is his dead wife… Sock, horror, anger, Winston has and feels it all. Her death destroyed a part of him, one he’s never replaced, but to see her cold heartedly murder a man, makes his blood boil, so with a assignment to find, catch and return 2 bad guys and a laptop, Winston hits the road… What he’s about to uncover will rock his world all over again.

Seeing Linda Starr aka Michelle Moon, stirs emotions deep down, firstly anger and hate towards her, but as they both discover the undercurrent of this assignment it seems they both have plenty to gain and more to lose. They find a mutual “ trust” to finish the job, but close confines and reconnection brings many emotions to the forefront. Discovering Linda’s past, opens more doors, more questions and the realisation they can be one again…. If they can survive the ultimate take down!

In typical Stark fashion, this story has, guns and bad guys, but an emotional connection and a angst. The sort you want to finish but not be over! Winston and Linda have a mountain to overcome and it was a joy to be part of! Oh and let’s not forget, one Damien Stark, that man (fans face)!!

Nothing is as it seems

DESTROYED WITH YOU
, the fifth instalment in J.Kenner's STARK SECURITY series, is the best one so far. With each book, the stories only become more addictive. Ms Kenner has the ability to draw her readers in to her amazing and emotional stories. Strong, alpha men and women who are fierce and sexy.

Everything Winston Starr has believed is a lie ... how can he come to accept his new reality? Believing his wife Linda has been dead for the last four years, and blaming himself for that, he now has to deal with the fact that she faked her own death. The relationship between Winston and Linda is strained, based on secrets, lies, betrayal and mistrust. Now, together, they must face a danger that neither of them expected. Will they be willing to take a second chance to be together?

From beginning to end this is a riveting read. It is unputdownable, sexy, addictive and suspenseful. With a well-loved and supporting friends, Winston and Linda's story will completely have you mesmerised. Theirs's is a journey that will play on your emotions, but will leave you thoroughly satisfied.

I have been religiously following the ‘Stark Security’ series books, and the one story I was looking forward to was this, the tale of ‘Winston and Linda’.

‘Destroyed With You’ is the amazing fifth book in the series, and it can be read as a stand-alone or as an additional instalment to an action-packed series.

There’s no pain like grief and Winston is no stranger to the heartache. Losing his wife Linda has left him walking through life blindly, lost and stuck in a time capsule of memories that play on repeat. So what happens if all you believed never actually happened?

Thrust into a covert mission with some unexpected twists and turns, Winston comes face to face with someone he thought he once knew, and she’s very much alive and kicking. Will he manage to succeed on his mission, or will she become a distraction.

I loved this book. Linda is an interesting character, and her character has a lot of explaining to do. The chemistry is there, and initially as a reader you attempt to make sense of her reasoning along side Winston.

It is a fast-paced read which will keep you on your toes, and I love being thrown into this mysteriously suspenseful world.

Ideal for those who like stories with drama, unexpected twists and those who enjoy romances which are part of a series.

I love my visits to the Stark world and each book I have picked up in the Stark Security Series has topped the last one I read, it’s getting better and better with each read and that’s hard to do when you start off with great story, well done Ms Kenner once again you have given us wonderful characters to fall in live with and a captivating story to take over our life and stay with us long after the final words have been read.
Winston has left Texas to start a new career with Stark Security his life has been turned upside down by the death of the love of his life, his wife Linda. Imagine coming face to face with the woman you believed to be dead.....imagine finding out the love of your life faked her own death.....
Destroyed With You is a well written romantic suspense and it’s a story that captivated from the first page. This book ticked all my boxes, I was kept on the edge of my seat from the start to the finish, I fell hard and fast for Winston and I needed to know what happened for Linda to do what she did. This is a romance that’s full of passion, full of mystery and suspense but most importantly it’s full of love.

J Kenner takes us on another suspense-ridden adventure as we finally delve into Winston Starr's past. He comes to Stark Security after working for the Sensitive Operations Command, the elite intelligence branch of the National Security Council. While working undercover, he met and married the love of his life, Linda. He also "witnessed" her die in an explosion, possibly connected to the case he was working on, and blames himself for her death. When his old boss shows him proof that she's still alive, hell hath no fury like a man who has grieved for his wife for four years just to find out she's very much alive and stayed away from him. The confrontation when he comes face to face with her is explosive all over again when all his pain, anger...and lust unleashes! After such a betrayal, Winston's not sure whether his love or hate for her is going to guide his actions. Linda has secrets of her own that she must unravel before she or they end up dead for real. Will their respective love for one another be enough to bridge a truce after everything that's happened? It's an emotional journey tied with the suspense that will have you holding your breath for the ending!

J. Kenner came out of the gate with a bang, as she got right down to business with Winston's story. He's barely been living because of a personal tragedy, which had him leaving Texas behind, and now he works for Stark Security. However, his past wouldn't stay in the past, so he was asked to come back temporarily because it was revealed that his dead wife is really not so dead after all. Now, you already know that's going to be an issue because of that whole betrayal aspect & all, but it's only a small issue in a bigger picture as there's more going on than anyone actually knew, so they're on the lam together. That connection is still there, but it's a push & pull situation between them, however, they did happen to work well together. The f-bomb worthy twists are coming in hot, no one knows who to trust, and the idea is trying to take hold that maybe just maybe they can be together again if they make it out alive. So yeah, perfect story in my eyes as I'm all about the heart racing, edge of my seat experience that J. Kenner brought in spades! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

A book of betrayal, a romance of second chances all wrapped up in a beautiful package ready to be devoured by romance fanatics' around.

Winston lost his love, his wife due to his job and has sworn off his Sheriffs badge, Texas and everything that goes along with it. Until the SOC and Seagrave comes calling. Winston is the only man for the assignment, but it means the past becomes the present. Can he confront the fear of his past and preform is his job?

Pretty sure my jaw is still on the ground with certain attributes of this story. Kenner never disappoints in her work and she excels at keeping her fans on the edge of their seats with anticipation and cleverness. Let alone the steamy scenes will have your heart beating for more. If you have not read the Stark Security novels, now is the time! Destroyed With You is the perfect example of why NOW is the time to get consumed with J. Kenner and this series.

What would you do if your dead wife suddenly reappeared? Winston finds himself in this situation and not only is she alive but he now has to bring her in after she kills one of the SOC’s agents. He also has to bring in an accountant before Linda gets him first. Linda works hard as an agent and is shocked when Winston shows up in the middle of her latest assignment. These two have intense chemistry and a lot of distrust as Winston doesn’t understand why Linda faked her death. But what they also figure out is that one of them is working for a traitor but which one. They realize they have to find trust to help each other unravel this latest case. But what about their marriage? Was everything they shared a lie? Or in the midst of them both working for different agencies as spy’s, did they actually find love? Exciting, passionate and intense journey for this amazing couple. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

“Once upon a time, she was my world, and I thought I was hers. Apparently, I couldn’t have been more wrong.”

Secrets Betrayal Guilt Jealousy Chemistry Lies Family Love Respect Passion

Once again another amazing book by the brilliant J Kenner. I never exhaust of these characters and the journey they take us on. Just when you think you want more of the previous characters J Kenner brings in an addition to the Stark Security family that you sometimes loathe, but always end up falling in love with.

“Please,” I repeat. “Hate me if you want, but touch me now.”

This story will have you on the edge of your seat, bring you to tears and have you fanning yourself the next moment. It literally is like going through “the change ”...your emotions will be all over the place.

“Do not play with me... I promise you this isn’t a game.”

I’m anxiously (not patiently) awaiting Memories of You!
