冲着是民国版的《提灯看刺刀》来看的，其实给我的感觉不太像，但还是挺好看的，推推推

作者的另一本小说《无法自证》我也看了，开头挺虐的，后来弃了因为（很带感的）副CP全BE，太虐了

This was easily one of my favorite reads of last year. This is the type of dog blood danmei that i like. From the first chapter, the power dynamic between the leads is clear: we have an overpowered (OP) MC paired with a possessive, obsessive ML.

While the main romance is gripping, I did find the ML lacked a bit of individual personality; he often felt like he existed solely to support the MC. However, their dynamic—a mix of possessive obsession and nonchalant 'tsundere' energy—was incredibly addictive. It’s undeniably toxic, but in a way that keeps you hooked rather than frustrated.

The overall tone is a total 'heart-puncher.' Even the side characters have devastating arcs—the story of the Buddhist man and the Japanese woman absolutely broke me. Don't skip the extras! They answer crucial questions about the MC’s revenge that weren't fully cleared up in the main text. The writing is easy to digest and impossible to put down.
