The past several months changed so much. Liam and I were fated mates and we’ve seen how awful the packs were being treated. Finally all four heirs were on the same page, and we knew something had to change.
As the heirs and I joined the rebellion, more things came to light, and we learned the council has a secret they’ve been hiding-- one larger than my own.
Now everything was at stake, and there could only be one clear winner. Either way, nothing would remain the same.
If you can't get enough of books by K.F. Breene, Kelly St. Claire, Annette Marie, Shannon Mayer, Leia Stone, Jaymin Eve, and Laura Thalassa, then you'll love this paranormal romance.
Reading has always been one of my favorite hobbies, even as a little girl. When I was a toddler, my parents would read stories to me over and over. I would hear them so often that I had the books memorized and could recite the story word by word.
My favorite genres are fantasy, paranormal, and contemporary romance. So of course that's what I'm inclined to write.

I needed a little bit more of a resolution than that, but at least everything was tied up nicely. I was getting worried because we only had a few pages left and things were all over the place. I think this might be my least favorite in the series. Everything was just a little too expected. You knew what was going to happen. It was everything you usually get from a paranormal YA, but at some points I was kind of bored. But at the same time this entire series was published in the span of a few months, so she was going through them quickly.
The characters changed over a short time span and I usually like growth over longer periods. I love a good cheesy book, but this might have been a bit too much for me. It was enjoyable, but a little boring at times. Not the best quality but good when you are in the mood for something like this.
It felt quite climatic and dramatic at times. The whole plot was going to war and overthrowing the council. If there is anything I didn’t like, it had to be that rushed ending.
Other then that, I enjoyed this book series.
I will admit, I like the authors newer books better. They are much better written, fast paced, and more developed. This one felt slow in some parts.
Oh wow. Just wow. So much happened in this book so fast I would even go as far as to say stretch this trilogy out to a 4 book quartet. However everyone got what they deserved in the end and I was satisfied with it by the time I got to the last %. Best part is that divine justice wonderful and this book did a good job of showing this.
That was one crazy ride . They’re dads are absolute asshole especially Even’s dad he’s a real dick. I can’t believe what they did and tried to do to Mia . But karma is always a huge bitch 😉

Might contain spoilers so read at your own risk! * * * * * This book was almost a 5 star read but I needed more! More about the consequences that everyone got that stood against the heirs. More on what happened to the 4 bratty (and that's the nice word for them) girls after everything. More on what the heirs did to help everyone. Especially the ones who were in such dire need.
There was not an epilogue and to me that makes all the difference in a book. There was alot of buildup over the course of 3 books that made this series but the ending fell flat. Other than that this was an amazing series in which I thoroughly enjoyed reading!!! I absolutely loved these characters and even Simon in the end. And let's be real, I did not see that one happening at all. I definitely recommend this series for all who hasnt read it though!
LOVVVEEEDDD IITT!!!!! Honestly, the first time I read the blurb I wasn't that very keen to start the series, but since I liked most of the books written by this author I'm like let's do this... and I'm so happy I decided to try it. I absolutely loved Liam, Evan, and Micah and tolerated Simon (though I'm happy Sherry helped him get his head outta his ass). But most of all I adored Mia, she was brave and didn't take shit from anyone. Overall the book was great. Sometimes I had the urge to cry out in frustration or take a baseball bat and keep hitting Amber till she no longer functioned (stupid bitch thought she could come between Liam and Mia), but I refrained myself. Loved the book and am sad that it got over, but looking forward to Grey's next series.
I love Jen L Grey books. I have read a lot of her books and this series had me crying at the end. Crocodile tears! This series had me so captivated that I read the first two books in a day! I couldn’t put them down. I love how she writes her characters. Fantastic just ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC
Awesome conclusion to the series! I was happy that most of the Heirs found their mates, except one. I hope to find out what happens with him. The story was well written and kept me reading from the first page to the last. I was a little surprised by the ending but it was worth it in the end. I was wondering if they were using magic or not and that question was answered. Now the packs will thrive because there are people in place who actually care. Wonderful!
As the final book in the trilogy, Rising Fate had everything I wanted, needed, and more. There wasnt as easy HEA, even though we get one. There was so much turmoil, both for the plot itself and for the different heirs. There were secrets revealed and decisions made, all of which led up to an ending for the ages! I laughed and cried throughout this series and this book. Its definitely a must read!!
Great ending!! What a surprising ending, it almost seemed like there would have been a 4th book. Wished Micah found his fated in the end but thats what spinoff are for! Exciting book overall!
Well written, fantastic characters and a great story
Jen Grey is fast becoming one of my favourite authors. Her writing style is perfect for me, I love the character development and the world building. If you want a story where a strong female actually gets an opportunity, a strong male (eventually) supports her and a conclusive ending that is reasonably happy then Wolf Moon Academy is the series for you. Couldn’t have asked for a better way for this book to end.
What a great series! It pulled me in right away in book one and I read all three in a row.I loved how the story built upon Mia's character. She stayed strong for what was right and good, and the people around her became better because of her influence. This book had i all - love, angst, building of friendships, and an HEA conclusion. Definitely one of the best shifter series I have read.
Mia, Liam, and the rest of the Heirs take you on and emotional, intense, action packed read that will have your pulse pounding and your heart racing with all the twist and turns you will be pulled backed in and not wanting this book to end. If you want a fantastic read that has it all and more read this series and you won't be disappointed. Will Mia and the others be able to figure everything out before it's too late? will the council members figure out what is going on? An absolutely amazing that kept me on my toes wanting more and more. I so can't wait to read what she has next.
Damn, Rising Fate was excellent! So much happened, the story came full circle, bonds strengthened, secrets were revealed, it was super steamy, a lot of people did a lot of growing, and the final showdown between the Blood Council and their heirs happened.
It needs to be said again, this book was crazy and those shocking little plot twists were a nice reveal. The council is getting desperate and it shows, lurking about, snooping, trying their best to get rid of Mia and get the others inline. Not only were they going on the defense, all of their dirty little secrets were starting to come out but just like a true villain, it isn't over until you cut the head off because just when things seem to be getting brighter something dark is back on the horizon. The big secret behind what the council was actually doing, was so surprising, I didn't see it coming but somehow it all makes perfect sense. Jen created a really interesting story with a new look into the shifter world, their politics, the magic, and so much more. It was all very interesting and all the drama made it that more entertaining. I could've finished this book in one day but I wasn't ready to say goodbye to Mia and everyone.
The characters in this series surprised the heck out of me, especially in this book. Mia changed the least in this book but it wasn't surprising. Mia was always the kind of person who was kind and stood-up for others but she didn't have the physical strength to really do that and because her pack integrated with humans her wolf was as prominent as it would have been in other communities. However, throughout this story, she worked on connecting with her wolf and strengthening herself physically while working on the heirs' mindset. As for Liam, Even, Simon, and Micah, they had the most to change. Honestly, they were jerks, especially Liam, who I didn't see as very redeemable but I was wrong. The guys have changed so much, they finally saw what was going on around them and took a stand. I even like Simon now, he was great in this book, although he still had some moments, by the end I really enjoyed him, shocking I know.
Jen totally got me with this one and I loved it. Most of the time I can usually see where a story is going and I can guess what events will take place. While I got some things and figured partially how it was going to end, I had no idea how we were gonna get there. I enjoyed the journey and the unpredictability of the characters, I also really enjoyed the funny parts and sassy comebacks. I got sucked in and loved every moment of it.
Rising Fate was crazy, unpredictable, and exciting. I'm so glad I got to go on this journey with Mia, as she found out who she really is and found a family and people worth fighting for. I am gonna miss all of these characters but I am so happy they got their happy ending. I enjoy Jen's writing and I can now count Wolf Moon Academy as one of the shifter series that I love and I'm looking forward to Jen's next shifter series.
‘Rising Fate’ is book three and the finale in Jen L. Grey’s Wolf Moon Academy. This continues on from ‘Blood Legacy’. Prewarning recommended for mature readers and its contains intimate s*x scenes between the main characters.
Mia along with the Heirs Liam, Evan, Micah and Simon are all finally on the same page. Something needs to be done about their fathers and with the help from the Rebellion they might just be able to make a difference. Getting enough evidence and proof to back the claims that the Council is corrupt isn’t going to be easy. Mia and the Heirs need to be careful as they are being watched and tested.
The highly anticipated conclusion is here and what a doozy it is. Holy freaking moly!!! Bare with me while you read this review, my thoughts and emotions are all over the place so this is probably going to be painful to read, as I try to arrange my thoughts.
I am so freaking in love with this series. I devoured the first 2 books without realising that this one hadn’t been released, so I was anxiously waiting. So when I woke this morning and it was on my kindle I forgot about being an adult and the world around me so I could read it. I’ll tell you this I DON’T REGRET A THING!!! I love, love, loved this book.
Now the emotional roller coaster I experienced wasn’t very nice, my heart raced, skipped and stopped so many times that I’m sure if I was attached to an ECG the doctors would have been concerned for my health. Again not regretting a thing.
I loved watching the Heirs all coming, working and sticking together. If you’ve read the previous book you would know the struggles that have occurred between certain heirs. This might seem a little spoiler like but hopefully it’s still very cryptic, the “special bond” was such a beautiful and wonderful thing that developed.
Now the absolute exceptional and gorgeous thing that happened in this book was with Mia and Liam. They bond, love, devotion and trust between these two is like very girls fairytale. Choosing love over everything *awe.*
I am so happy that I took the time to read this series as it has been a wonderful, enjoyable and exciting experience getting to read about Mia and Liam but also the rest of the Heirs. Thank Jen for an excellent world and characters you have created. I’m a little sad that it’s over now but I know this will be a series I will come back and read again in the future.
Rising Fate by Jen L. Grey is the third and last installment in the Wolf Moon Academy series. It is paranormal romance, but this particular book is more focused on the conflict between our heroes and their families. This installment is available in the Kindle Unlimited collection for free or available for purchase for $4.99 at the time of this writing.
In this final book Mia and the heirs are faced with coming to terms with the realities of what the council has been doing to their people. This conflict is what made me drop it a star. The reactions of the heirs (with the exception of Simon) don’t feel realistic. There should be far more internal conflict for the boys than there is.
Mia also feels more like she’s along for the ride in this installment rather than being the driving force behind it. While I do like that it is leaning into the bond between Liam and Mia, it did it in a way that really detracted from Mia’s independence. It seemed like Liam was constantly protecting her, to the point that it felt like that was all his character boiled down to.
The ending also felt anticlimactic. In fact, I would say it (a) came too fast and (b) concluded even faster. It made it feel like this big external conflict that the author had been building over three books was nothing. I don’t understand why the series couldn’t have ended in book two if the battle was going to be so easy. If you can conclude an external conflict with only one direct battle that lasts less than 20 pages, then something has gone wrong.
There was also a complete disregard for the emotional aftermath – not to mention a complete lack of conflicting emotions for the boys before – following the battle. It almost dehumanizes the entire cast.
It hurts me to give this one a 3/5 because the rest of the series was a page turner. It just didn’t get there. I really felt like one of two things should have happened – the series should have wrapped in book two or it should have been expanded to four books in order to lean into the emotional side of the events and give the characters more realistic reactions to the situation.
Would I recommend it to someone? Not on the merits of this installment itself. BUT, it is the last in a series. You can’t not read it after reading the other two. It gives you closure to the overall arc of the series, even if that closure is a bit disappointing.
🔵Overall opinion & General Gist - Ummmm, we started out well...but then crashed and burned with this series. The storyline lost it's intrigue abut halfway through this book and I was struggling reading it. It just seemed like the author was reaching for delays and grasping at anything they could to keep the book interesting. If you're not interested in finishing the series, but still want to know what happens...here's the whole ending in a nutshell . The book ends really abrupt and kind of leads into another book or spinoff series? I'm not sure, but I'm not following it wherever it's going. The last 5 hours were a struggle for me to read. It just got so boring and repetitive.
🔵Rating - 1 stars - wasn't worth my time. 🔵Steam - 2 stars - maybe even 1 star. Definitely a Young Adult book! spicy scenes never got any better. 🔵Storyline - 2 stars - it was good in the first 2 books, but just dragged here 🔵Plot Twists - 3 stars - still decently compelling 🔵Emotional Pull - 1 stars - nope 🔵Writing Style - 2 stars - too much filler for me. I really wanted to DNF this book. but I finished for you guys. 🔵Denouement - 1 star - there's A LOT of unanswered questions. 🔵Cliffhanger - yeah, kind of 🔵HEA - ummm, sure I guess we can say it was
WARNING!!! This is book three in the Wolf Moon Academy series, and this review may contain spoilers for previous books.
Some truths were best hidden.
This was an amazing conclusion to the Wolf Moon Academy Trilogy! I was happy to find in this book that Mia and the heirs grew closer to one another, and even some found their fated mates. I did say in my review for book 2 that I hoped Simon would change his thoughts about Mia, and he did not disappoint. Don’t get me wrong he is still a major wild card, but overall he was definitely better. Even tho it wasn’t easy getting there, there was a HEA. The conflicts and fighting between the heirs and their fathers was amazing to read, and I could definitely feel there pain while reading. I do wish we would have found out who Micah’s mate was, but other than that I was very happy with how this series ended!
I received this as a free ARC copy from the author, however I’m voluntarily leaving an honest review.
🐺🐺ONE PHENOMENAL FINALE🐺🐺 Flapping fritters fred! Jen unleashes one helluva showdown with this phenomenal tilt-her-world, blasting forward with such exuberance and gusto, bringing the heat and crashing through walls, jetting this bad boy to new heights. Unpredictable events and thrilling badassery descend in a tsunami of calculating maneuvers and cunning strategy, sketchy lines and blurred perimeters solidify as limitations are amplified and tested, reaching deep for every ounce of strength in a fierce surge of determination, propelling this bad boy to life brilliantly. The attraction and chemistry collides with such intensity and ardor, exploding with boundless emotions and infinite affections, binding them together beautifully. The characters are complex, genuine and realistic with traits and qualities that balance the scale, exhibiting the amazing depth and diversity with enough spice to add an extra kick to the mix. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that's so rich and lively it feels as though you're part of the story instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. Fabulous job Jen, thanks for sharing this awesome little gem with us.
I know. I said I wasn’t going to read this last book in the Wolf Moon Academy series, but I did. To be honest, the only reason I did is because I read some of the reviews and found out that
The pace is fast, almost too fast. And while we all knew what the ending was going to be - Mia’s ascension to the role of overseer - once the final battle was done BOOM, here we are, and then the book ends. No epilogue, nothing. I mean, an update about a year later would have been nice. Maybe explain how their changes have been met, how the packs are doing with more benevolent leaders, something. But no.
So while I trudged this disappointing mess of a series, you don’t have to. Read something else off your “to read” list. You’ll thank me for that piece of advice.
This was a great third installment to the series! I was drawn in from the start and the story held my interest! I loved seeing the changes in the boys when they met their mates.
However, there were a couple things that left me wanting. First of all, poor Macah. How did everyone find their mate except him? I kind of feel like the story isn't complete there. Also, Nate's bond with Willow was kind of just glossed over. She had an issue with the bond and was fighting it and then suddenly she was just there and okay with everything, no explanation? I can read between the (very transparent) lines, but come on. And finally...finally, finally, finally....THAT ENDING!!! What?!?! I would definitely like to know more about what happens with that last little bit! Also what happens more with the council when they're actually seated on it. There was so much build up this entire time and they finally defeated the previous council then...what? They talked about getting rid of previous Alphas and getting the packs in order. It would just be awesome to get to read about all of that, but instead I'm just left wanting.
I loved Mia and Liam's story, mostly because Mia was never really weak. She had her moments, but she was usually quite forward and made sure people knew where she stood. I appreciated how she gained even more courage and strength as she moved toward the end of the story. By this book, Liam has decided that his mate is who is most important to him, more important than any tie he had to his "family." And it was good to see him become so supportive of his mate and ultimately the perfect mate for her.
Without giving anything away, I liked the ending very much. However, I have to agree that I would have liked to know what happened to the energy released, whether the shifters who were weakened by the initial draw had their energy returned. And, I would have liked to discover whether Micah found his mate. However, I couldn't take away stars for the questions left behind because they leave the readers a chance to make up their own ending. And, there's always a chance the author will pick up the series again at a later date to help us answer some of those questions. I'm always looking forward to finding out what the author has next.
Last book the final battle this series is very original (but that is not a shock for this author she is good at creating something new) even though shifters in a academy is not something new and finding out your DNA don't match your dad's has been story told loads.the main storyline was original and interesting with the council and heirs I am also glad it never become a harem it focussed on friendships and good souls on that side of things and added new characters for mates.just sad it never ended with all of them finding mates also would of been nice to see a two years later. This series could continue 20 or so years later with another generation but with a different storyline (not killing parents and taking over) and of course with the mean girls kids.they could be guards of sorts or guardians to the pack maybe can join until 20 and investigate issues?
A great series worth the read only negative I would say is wish there was more fun banter when they all got close but hard to do when they realise they have to fight there dads. Maybe in book 4 next generation??? I could hope
This is the third trilogy I've read for L.grey and I've noticed something in the way she writes. The first book of the series is always the best and I mean always, I mean the first in this trilogy blew my mind away I couldn't Breathe, but as the plot thickens she starts getting away from the main idea behind the book , and she writes a whole book just to leave the best and interesting moments for the last two chapters ..... And she does that in every single book , and I don't understand why ?! I like the way she writes , but I want her to be better , to give the plot what it deserves and not shut everything in just two chapters with no epilogue or a real ending , books are not supposed to end just like that 🙅, the characters deserve more than beeing rushed to a happy ending just in a chapter, the story should build up to it , not just make it a snooze story just to boost it at the very end .
