One man's life almost lost to the dustbin of history saved by a quick thinking auction-goer. WW2 cargo pilot in the China-Burma-India theater goes onto provide amazing contributions to NASA. What history are you overlooking in your own attic?
I've read this author before and was anxious to read this book. It was an intriguing story that basically described one man's life. Seemingly innocuous as to merit but as you will discover he accomplished much and was truly worthy of having his life shared. Roderick Edwards took this man from obscurity and brought him to the light. Well written and worth the time to read.
The author did alot of research writing this book on Wilfred Scull a WW2 pilot with some pictures brought from an auction. The book with the authors words and photos it was like looking back in time. Wilfred Scull was a remarkable man. This book is worth reading.
Wilford skull who was born in a small town in Indiana had an older brother and they both lived on a farm with their parents. As far as the author knows he had a normal childhood. He would go on to do extraordinary things though and this is beyond fighting for our freedom and the freedom of the Jews in concentration camps. Even at that time in the 1940s through these pictures you sing that he saw people as people and although they use words that people today would have to take medication over hearing they used it and no one thought twice about it. I love that the author brings this up and explains how it was back then We no this because Wilfred“Bill“ Scully wasn’t Abbet picture taker and thanks to a man name Tony who saved his memorabilia and pictures that he also like to caption his photos. This is a great book and a great autobiography and one the author even passages us to involve our self in. I love this book highly recommend it to anyone who loves World War II nonfiction or autobiographies or just a great toe story.
