Alys does not need or want a man. After graduating in the top 5 percent of her class and ready to start the job of her dreams, a man is the last thing on her mind. Brody has no time for a relationship nor does his job as a Navy Seal allow for one, so… why bother? He has never entertained the idea and quite frankly no woman has ever tempted him to. Her family and friends surprise Alys with a European vacation as a graduation present. A time to play before she must face the world to…adult. Lost in Glasgow, Alys is people-watching in a cute café when she sees the hottest man, she ever laid eyes on. She has never been one to not act so she decides to say, Hi. What could it hurt? Brody is surprised by the straightforward vixen who joins him for breakfast, especially when she did so without his invitation. He is even more surprised when he enjoys his time with her. After an enjoyable time together, they go their separate ways. They did not share their contact information. In fact, they did not share names either. That is the last time they see each other until fate brings them back together three months later. The connection they feel is unlike any either has ever experienced they’d never been in love, but this feeling must be love. So, what do you do when you find your soul mate? Well… you get married, of course, and quickly. Can Brody and Alys’ new marriage hold firm in the real world. They will face more issues than they could have imagined… how will family, job responsibilities, and tragedy affect their happily ever after, or will there be one? Author J.D. Alexander currently resides in Oklahoma. I'm the wife of a retired Navy chief and mother of three wonderful children life is crazy but good. Writing is a form of therapy for me and I love creating stories and making sure it works out eventually in the end. It helps to control the chaos known as "the real world". Next to my family and friends I have a deep love to read and can be found curled up with my e-reader, a cup of tea, and a cat or two engrossed in a novel. I've been told I have an addiction to reading and need help, but that's just silly. Where else can a person escape reality for a little while and relax? Even though my "to be read" list is a bit out of control... It is well worth it. If reading is an addiction then I do not want to be cured. Happy reading.
I really enjoyed this book. However I felt like the beginning of the book was a little slow. Then things started picking up and getting really good. Then J. D Alexander did it to me again, she left me with another cliff hanger! The story line was good. This is an easy relaxing, enjoyable read.
