Fandom: Harry Potter Pairing: Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy Words: 119,755 Status: Completed
In the wizarding world, it has long been assumed that men are Alphas and women are Omegas. However, when Hermione Granger discovers that assumptions are rarely factual, her status as one of only a handful of female alphas that has ever existed has men falling at her feet.
But there’s only one man she wants, and like the male alphas before her, the hunt is on until he bears her mark.
Everyone probably knows by now that I'm obsessed with A/B/O. This Dramione fic with the unique plot of Hermione being an Alpha? I devoured it. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that it finished quickly. I wanted more. The dynamics, emotions, details, friendships, family, relationship all were amazing.
First of all, cool concept. But the whole Alpha, Alpha thing doesn't seem well thought out. The world building is subpar. I also think the author didn't spend time rereading the story as they wrote, because every chapter had a very repetitive theme of the same thoughts of inadequacy that make little to no sense with what we know about Granger. Also, whenever they talk about her accomplishments, they rarely bring up the war and school etc. It's only brought up as a precursor to their relationship instead of her own personal accomplishments. The reactions granger has to the issues that pop up throughout the story seem out of character and without much internal story sense. I gave it 3 stars because the tension in the 1st half was delish and I think the fic could have easily been 50k. I practically skipped through the ending just to get through the bonding ceremony and be done with it. By 70% I was already bored with the main driving plot point. Felt beat into the ground.
Left much to be desired in the end. Some very good core elements and writing. The characters were well thought out. This failed on delivering the overall concept. Some things needed cut and others need expanding. Hoping for more in the future from this writer.
Se solo non avesse avuto la pretesa di essere una dramione... Non avrei comunque capito l'omegaverse, ma almeno non avrei dovuto combattere contro l'OOC imperante di qualsiasi personaggio.
It started out good, so good. But then Hermione got all whiney, and they were babying her too much, and it was a little wordy. Was a bit of struggle to finish.

It was decent, but other than character names the story had very little in common with the original. And I must admit that HP and Alphas, Betas, and Omegas don't really work for me...
DNF @ 47%. Really wanted to like it but Hermione and Draco just weren’t how their normal characters are (appreciate it’s a change but could have been any character).
