It has a cliffhanger and all kinds of magic shenanigans. If you like sassy heroines, sexy men, and tantalizing temptations, then you’ll adore Lilith Darville’s darkly delicious shared love fantasy.
I’m a USA Today bestselling author and one of those lusty ladies who happens to love reading and writing dangerously delicious romances. I’m hot in the middle of another sizzling paranormal reverse harem series that’s guaranteed to make readers flush and blush. The ending was intriguing enough for me to continue but I don’t much like the writing style. It feels out of order or something and there is to much about Aleah’s personality and not enough about what is going on. The author also seems to me confused on what the character’s do and don’t know. If Aleah believe in the afterlife why is she skeptical about angels. If they guys know how to get Troy back why aren’t they talking about it and then why does Cass say “we’ll figure it out,” and if the bonds are there what’s the point of ignoring them. Here is to hoping the questions are answered in the next one.
When I first read the blurb for Shock, I was slightly hesitant about diving in since I've also lost a loved one. I wasn't sure if I wanted to bring all those personal emotions to the surface in this fantasy world. However, I'm so glad I chose to test myself.
Shock is so much more than just a story of grief. It is about living. It is about surviving. It is about hope and perseverance when the dark is a smothering comfort.
I was sent a copy of this book by the author is exchange for an honest review. This is the first of Liliana Darlove's books I've read and I was thrilled by the way the story opened up. A story of loss, life, love and new beginnings. Aleah (Leah) has lost Atroyel (Troy) the love of her life to cancer and she is in an extended period of grief. Troys brothers - who happen to be angelic sex lords - gratification are comforting her. Tristan (3rd born) and Cassiel (1st born) make up "The Triplets" and each have something to offer Leah whom they have to protect from Lord Syreal the worst of the worst Sex demon. The story offers hope, understanding, support and answers to questions Leah has had for a while. There is a follow-on story to this that I will go hunting for. The other thing I love about this book is the cover - it's gorgeous. Recommended read
I’m not sure if it was the concept that just didn’t do it for me. I mean the idea of the angels didn’t bother me and Aleah’s love for Troy was beautiful but I just couldn’t get into these characters.
