This is probably my favorite of the series so far.
I think the author is doing a good job of keeping a lot of balls in the air.
- We get a main homicide case for Ike and Pete to solve
- Syd falls into a new side hustle with her job
- She has a creepy admirer (I love how she put him in his place but honestly he should have been fired),
- She also is the subject of harassment from a different quarter
- Ike learns a new skill with his powers
In addition to all that the different relationships that are evolving and growing:
-Syd and Ike of course are the main couple and this was a sweet one for them as their relationship hit a new milestone
-Ike and Pete's partnership is elling more and more and they are now at ease with each other enough to joke and rib each other
-Jada meets Pete's family (the dinner scene at his house was funny)
- Geri and Gavin's relationship also hit a new milestone
- And Emily and FBI agent Fox are just starting to heat up
And finally another salvo in the war between Det. Bains and Ike is lobbed. God I hate her. Can we kill her with fire?
My biggest quibble with this whole series has been Ike's psychic powers. There is something about that element that doesn't completely gel for me. But that is just a quibble.

Still a great mystery series and Isaac and Sidney are still my favorite couple. My only issues with this book was there wasn't much attention on the case like with previous books. Also, the book focuses more on the side characters romances.
Great series but due to the lack of Isaac and Sidney along with the mystery not being central I give this a 4.5 read.

Get ready for a thrilling roller-coaster ride that will blow you away! “Murders & Romance: A Psychic Detective Romantic Mystery” is book 5 from the phenomenal, 'An Isaac Taylor Mystery' series, and grabbed me from the start so I was immediately glued to my seat! IMHO, this amazing must read also deserves 6 stars like the previous books! Another fresh new storyline with mystery, romance, suspense and paranormal! ... I love the always relatable characters like our H/h, Isaac & Sidney, and their almost palpable chemistry, as we see their lives’ story unfold. Plenty of twists & surprises will keep readers hooked & turning pages like crazy! ... Despite the odds seeming to be stacked against them, I'll be cheering for their HEA! .... Even tho I always volunteer to read Ms. Collins’ books, it is without any outside influences, so I can honestly recommend this to adult fans of fiction. Many times I buy the Kindle ebooks when I can afford to ... I am so addicted that I can’t wait for more! But I always will even if rather impatiently ;) lol

Simply Wonderful – this Story, and the Entire Series!!
What can I say? Every once in a while, you run into a series or story that is so good you will drop everything to read it. This series is exactly that. It started out as a unique mystery / action / romance and has continued to delight and entertain as stories are added.
The characters come to life, the pace is perfection, the psychic twist is a frustration to its owner Isaac, and is only one of the reasons he excels as a detective. Sidney is coming into her own at the Hope House.
We gain insight into multiple characters / couples which adds to the interest of this story. A perfect mix of every-day and the what makes them special. Makes you want to be invited to the next game night.
Crimes to solve, harassment to remedy, family, friends and lovers; with a main romance which will tug at your heart. You are missing out if you pass this one by.

While I love Ike and Sid's romance--in addition to the 3 evolving ones-- I wanted more detective work here. Still, 'Murders & Romance' was another great addition to the series. I love seeing everyone's growth, and learning more about the characters.

This series keeps getting better and more better. I love how action packed it is. Now we are getting two mysteries at the same time. Isaac has a mutilation case starting that's pretty gruesome. Sidney is having issues at the woman's shelter with some if the residents husband. She learning how to hold her own now.
I think what takes top billing is the love story between these two. Isaac is really putting so much effort to show Sidney how much he loves her by thinking of ways to be romantic. All this is so new to him being Sidney is the first woman he's ever loved or truly been with due to his touch issues. It all was so sweet and Isaac is sexy.
There is some great side stories going on with our secondary characters also that really just put this book way out there for me.
So we have mystery, suspense, intrigue, romance, love stories and some funny parts, need we ask for more. Yes well book six now. I can't wait to see what in store for us in it. I will say again that I love this series.

Issac & Sydney
This is by far my favorite book in this series to date. I have read a number of books by the author and each one is a pageturner.
Isacc has had a hard time adjusting to his psychic abilities and the restrictions they put on his life. Not touching without physical pain and frightening visions has been hard. People not understanding the reasons for his reactions even harder. Until Sydney. Now he has someone to love. Someone to touch who returns his feelings and touches with no pain or visions.
In this book, Issac really does show his romantic side. He's never had the chance to find that side. When he becomes the go-to man for romantic advice no one is more surprised, including the reader. Romance isn't the only word in the title. More murders are happening and finding the culprit takes all the team can do. Meanwhile, Sydney is once again dealing with harassment. Unfortunately, there are several suspects. How dangerous will it be? Will he be able to keep her safe?
Don't miss this one you are guaranteed to enjoy it. All the characters seem to have some romance going on as well as growth and effort to manage life changes. The teaser for the next book will leave you with a smile despite the seriousness of the overall story.

As the story begins, Sidney and Ike have suffered a devastating loss that plunges them into an emotional tailspin. Ike lets Sidney know that he is there for her in any way she needs him to be. And, he is true to his word.
While reeling from the loss of his unborn child, Ike and his partner, Pete Vega, are called to a gruesome murder, graphically depicted. Soon he and Vega are immersed in several murders that appear to be perpetrated by the same killer. Readers should be advised that there ARE triggers within this book, namely, spousal abuse, extreme violence, depression, loss and grief, rape, mental illness, and escalating harassment against Sidney; many of these themes are the hallmark of this series. The author is very skilled at knowing when to change gears so that readers don’t become overwhelmed.
Additionally, the book devotes attention to the burgeoning relationships between memorable secondary characters of the series. The reader still gets a dose of some very romantic Sidney and Ike time. Who knew Ike would turn out to be such a romantic? Ike must use all of his ingenuity to help Sidney through her depression and grief for their loss as a result of her miscarriage. Further, Ike seems to be coming to terms with his ever expanding psychic gifts. The ending is gratifying as Ike’s and Sidney’s relationship reaches higher heights. What does the future hold for them? I await the next installment with bated breath.

This the Isaac Taylor Ministries series keeps getting better and better. I am loving Sidney and Isaac together and I am so glad for them. I have tried to figure out who is trying to harass Sidney and why would they go to so much trouble to do so. We are guessing that it is Natalie Baines, but I am not convinced that it is her. This story of Isaac's abilities which help with his police work and Sidney's healing balm which she gives to Isaac makes me think that there is going to be a great many stories I will be reading about these two characters, one can only hope. I loved this book because it shows Isaac's romantic side and how he navigates this situation. Then there is the story going on with Jada and Pete. Pete Vega is Isaac's partner. Pete has started a relationship with Jada, Sidney and Isaac's neighbor who is a nurse and has a 10-year-old son. Then there is the plot between Emily and Emmett Fox. Emily is Isaac's sister and Emmett is an FBI agent who has become part of the story in these the Isaac Taylor Mysteries. Then there is the story between Dr. Tobey and his stalking of Sidney. There are so many plots and sub plots and I love it all. Can't wait to start the next book in this series. Loved, Loved, Loved.

Another great story in the already thrilling series! Issac and Sidney have really grown! Ike is learning to embrace his psychic abilities and Sid has become a confident, strong woman! The other characters have really come into their own as well. Gavin and Gerri are facing their feelings too!

I am in love with this series, I absolutely love Isaac and Sidney together. Every relationship has it's challenges but Isaac and Sidney seem to have a steady stream of them. I am so glad that Isaac is finally beginning to embrace all of everything that makes him special. Ike has evolved so well since when we first met him in book 1. His support system has grown, understanding brought in clarity and with the full love and support of Sidney. Sidney has also grown and evolved into a strong woman both mentally and physically, she is no longer afraid of her own shadow. Encouragement, love of a good man and her own support system has helped her as well.
I can't say enough about the series and I am sooo looking forward to reading the next and last installment. Well Done Ms. Collins...

Another great story!
I absolutely love this series! I have not so patiently waiting for this book and couldn’t put it down! We’re checking back in with all our favorite characters. There’s a new disturbing case that’s Isaac is trying to solve while also trying to lift Sidney’s spirits and keep her safe as always. I didn’t think I could love Ike anymore than I already did but he was the sweetest in this book. I love his personality mix of awkward, alpha, shy, and sweet.
Normally I’m not a fan of books where we’re following multiple characters, I rather just stick to the main characters, but this book and series does an awesome job of telling everyone’s stories without shortchanging Ike and Sidney.
Highly recommend! Anxiously awaiting the next book!

Outstanding, Amazing
I love, love this series. Isaac and Sidney are amazing, passionate funny, vulnerable and so much in love. They are strong and also caring about those they love. I am in love with the psychic and supernatural occurrence in this book and looking forward to the psychic ability that will be past down to their children. I love the great dynamic between Isaac and his grandfather and brother. You will not be disappointed by selecting this series of books. Each one is excellent, exciting and the lovemaking is off the charts . A wonderful and fast moving book with twists and turns you don't see coming. I am awaiting the next book.

Wow, another amazing book. I couldn't put this book down once started.
I loved this story as we got to see a new side of Ike that hasn't been seen before.
I love how Ike and Sidney are evolving their relationship each book. And I love seeing what the other characters are up to.
I can't wait for more.

Book Five of the Isaac Taylor Mystery Series again finds Sidney at the focus of unwanted scrutiny. Ike and Sidney are falling deeper (if that is even possible) in love, but outside forces just won't stay, well, outside. Sidney has found work she loves at Hope House, a refuge for women. She loves all aspects of her job with the exception of the creepy doctor, Dr. Tobey, who volunteers there. When Sidney becomes a target of harassment, there is a short list of the usual suspects, Natalie Baines, the jealous narcotics detective, the creepy doctor, or a new threat. Secondary characters again are richly featured, Pete, his family and his budding romance with Jada and Ike's younger sister Emily and her budding romance with the intriguing FBI agent, Emmett Fox...these stories take nothing away from Sidney and Ike but truly enhance reader engagement and interest. These stories are like wonderful serials....we are left eager for the next episode!

I don't think I've ever read about a couple that has me soooo in love with them before. This series has so much to offer like drama, thriller, suspense, and romance. I really appreciate it all. Can't wait for book 6!!!

I LOVE ALL THE CHARACTERS IN THIS SERIES, WHICH HAS ME WORRYING ABOUT EVERBODY. I KNOW HOW AUTHORS WIL SACRIFICE A CHARACTER SOMETIMES. THIS MAKES IT HARD FOR ME BECAUSE I LOVE THEM ALL. I WISH ISAAC WOULD HURRY UO AND LEARN HOW TO USE ALL HIS AWESOME SUPERPOWERS. ;D

This series just keeps getting better and better. Full engrossing, enjoyable characters, with enjoyable storytelling. I sit to read just one chapter and just get drawn in, it's great - chores will always be there 😉 . I recommend you will enjoy.

Detective Isaac Taylor is a special man and he is engaged to the love of his life and someone is messing with her and he is not having it, and on top of that, they have a couple of gruesome murders that he and his partner are trying to solve. There seems to be a lot going on in his and Sidney's lives with their friends and people they come in contact with. I enjoyed this book very informatively and entertaining. Drama, suspense, action, and romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

So freaking good. Every book I read in this series is better than the one before. Especially loving Pete and Jada's developing storyline too. Ms. Collins is a master craftswoman of this genre.
