A nice picture with each and every recipe is what I like in a cookbook and this one delivers. Such great looking recipes using all types of different beans....even recipes for breakfast. I'll be making the Pinto Bean Peanut Stew which has sweet potatoes in it. Looks yummy along with several others.

Japanese NATTO is a fermented food that is good for health, so I wish it would have been introduced in this book.
Important Line: HEALTHY & SUSTAINABLE Beans, lentils, peas, and chickpeas (collectively called pulses) are a nutritious, sustainable, and an integral part of many cuisines. Not only do they taste delicious, but they’re also a smart choice for both your body and the world.
There are a few good recipes in this cookbook, but ultimately most of them repeated with slight variations or they were just weird. I will likely not revisit this for recipes, but I'm sure some of these recipes will be favorites for some readers. Definitely recommend for bean lovers who want to add beans to literally every meal, regardless of flavor/texture comparability.
At least I got a good laugh out of dropping my iPad on my face when I fell asleep reading through this book late last night 👉👈
With the meat prices and the just the price of food in general. I decided to learn how to cook with beans. I like beans but I only know how to cook one dish with them and thats chili.
Love this book it gives a variety of dishes and some alternative for dairy products as well. Love it. And And if I want to add meat they gives alternative for that too.
I really enjoyed this one. I happened to have some squash and lentils on hand when I was reading it so I made one of the soups that day, and my husband and our neighbor (who is vegan) both really loved it. I'm eager to try more of the recipes.
I was under the impression that this book would be pretty vegan/plant based friendly, however it is very dairy heavy, especially with eggs. I also wish more dishes had pictures.
I really appreciated the text and charts in the front of the book and I marked a few recipes to try out! I also like the notes on how to customize/substitute on many of the recipes.
