She’s too busy for love. He’s allergic to commitment. They’ll make the perfect pretend couple, right?

Scientist Jane Farrell’s new discovery might just change the world… if she lives long enough to introduce it at the World Energy Conference. After intruders break into her lab and her home, she flees to her brother’s cabin outside the tiny mountain town of Hope Landing, hoping to elude the men trying to steal her technology.

But fate has other ideas…

With his Knight Tactical teammates marrying right and left, former SEAL Patrick Olivetti’s charmed life is losing its sparkle. No longer content to be the life of the party, the no-strings-attached bachelor might have to re-think his choices. But all that stops when he finds an intruder in his cabin, a beautiful woman with professional killers on her trail.

To protect her while they hunt down the killers, Patrick—Mr. No Strings Attached—is going to have to play the doting fiancé. But who’s going to protect his heart from a woman who’s everything he wants…and nothing he deserves?

This installment is definitely an explosive one as Dr. Jane finds desperate people coming after her when she’s about to reveal her cheap renewable battery to the world. She stumbles into the path of our friends at Hope Landing quite by accident and they take her case right away. I enjoyed both lead characters and am ready to dive into the next story…

My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Bad Landing. This is book four in the Hope Landing Series. I have really enjoyed this series. I love Edie's work. This story is well written, action packed, and full of drama. Faith is an important part of this story which is really important to me. I know you are going to love it.

Scientist Jane Farrell has just come up with a new battery that will revolutionize her field. As she's working in her lab two men break in. She runs home but sees two men break into her home. She hides her car at her neighbor's and takes the neighbor's old car and runs to her brothers house in the mountains. She finally makes it to her brothers cabin in the middle of a storm and crashes on the couch. She wakes up to find a strange man leaning over her. She decks him with a barbell.

Knight Tactical Teammate Patrick Olivetti is attending the wedding of his teammate. Restless he leaves early. The blizzard has already struck . He's glad to get back to his cabin. When he arrives he finds someone asleep on his couch, a little, femine, someone. She decks him; how's he going to live this one down. When he hears her story and sees the men break into the cabin next door he calls in his team.

A difficult journey to protect Jane and her prototype as men come out of the woodwork to stop her. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a plan for peace and not for destruction. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life, even in this time of Chaos.

This was a fun book from start to finish! I love the "fake fiance" trope, so this was right up my alley. I have to admit, I guessed the identity of the criminal pretty quickly, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment of the book, since I continually went back and forth thinking it was that person or maybe someone else. As this series goes on, I have an increasing enjoyment of the camaraderie and friendship between all the guys of Knight Tactical and their wives/girlfriends.

I do hope, though, that Ms. James' newer books are copy-edited more thoroughly than this series was. There were several times I was drawn out of the story due to inconsistencies. For instance, in one scene, Lauren was talking with Jane in the KT headquarters, then as soon as Jane and Patrick walked into Tailwinds, Lauren was elbow-deep in sudsy water, washing dishes. Another time, Jane was wearing yoga pants and the next thing you know, she's putting her hands into her jeans pockets. Other than inconsistencies such as these, this is a great book which I recommend.

More Adventures with Knight Tactical

This is book #4 in the Hope Landing series, and while it can be read as a standalone, the reader will probably enjoy it more after having read the first three books. I found this story to be the most emotionally touching so far--Patrick and Jane are both so humble, neither one quite fathoms being worthy of the other. This book also introduces more about the characters Christian and Dale whose stories will follow this one. Note: by signing up for the author's newsletter, the reader can access a short prequel to Bad Landing that fills in a couple of blanks in the storyline.

Which Path

Imagine the good Jane’s invention could bring to the world. But is it worth dying for? Mistake or divine intervention brought her to the wrong cabin. A cabin owned by a man of courage, honor, and loyalty. Patrick quickly determines Jane needs protection from Knight Tactical. Already their chemistry is apparent except to each other. Once the danger is past will their paths separate them or meld into one? One thing for sure, they’re both putting their faith in God for the future.

It was a good book. The way they danced around each other was something else, each thought the other was way out of their league (I fund that adorable) and was scared to try. But obviously, everything worked out at the end. Patrick was so sweet, trying to fight his feelings but doing a poor job of it, but still doing everything he could to keep Jane save. Jane had a lot on her plate with her new invention but she still forged ahead, I admired her of that, she didn't panic and did what she could to make things easier for everyone

Jane's scientific discovery is going to change the world. That is if she can keep safe long enough to release it. Patrick is everything she isn't, and she does not want to rely on him or his team. But soon she has no choice. How can she move forward without putting everyone around her in danger?
This book is a part of Hope Landing series. While it could be understood as a stand alone, I think it is more enjoyable if all books are read in order. The book is clean suspense with faith elements and a bit of romance.

I purchased a copy of the Christian Romantic Suspense No Landing by Edie James, and this review was given freely.
Greed, progression in the lives of the Knight Tactical Team, and unrequited love realized can be found in this latest edition of the Hope Landing saga.
Run or die. East Coast computer analyst and coder Star Brannigan turns to her dead brother Josh’s best friend, former Navy SEAL Ethan Hernandez when she and their college group of coders are being killed by The Black Hat Hacker/Ragnar who is trying to complete and active the horrible ransomware named Armageddon.

Getting to know each other under hazardous situations

Jane escapes danger and lands in what she thought was her brother’s cabin. Even better she lands in Patrick’s cabin and she has a guardian angel trying to save her. She has an invention that will change the world but someone wants it to fail. The race is on to reveal her invention and set her free of danger. But will she lose her heart or win his? Love this story

Excellent action and suspense

This is Patrick and Jane's story told with a whole lot of great action. The romance is slow to develop. The suspense is very good. But I especially love the action. The Christian message sprinkled through the book adds so much to the story. I really love this series!

Excellent book

This book is great. I really enjoy this author. The story line is interesting and not carried by sex. I occasionally enjoy a story With great sex in it but it's refreshing to read one where the plot is carried by other things. Lots of action and love the Christian spirituality that is a strong thread.

Kept Me Reading

This story! I didn't want to put it down. Loved the chemistry between the MCs, as well as the interaction between the friends. The plot wasn't so much unique, but the author handled it in a riveting way. If you enjoy clean, inspirational, suspense romance, then I recommend this book to you.

Bad Landing

Jane has an invention that someone wants along with wanting her dead. She goes to Hope Landing to stay in her brothers cabin only to end up in Patrick’s cabin by mistake. The wrong cabin might have saved her life. Will Patrick and the Knights Tactical group find who wants her dead and be able to keep her alive?

This series of books are so refreshing to read how God plays such a huge part of their lives and because of that the characters work and play as a team/family with the same values. I like to follow the characters in all the different books.

The author brings out the individual character’s personalities very well and makes them so real. I recommend the this whole series of books!

An exceptional novel, but a little unreasonable

A nice plot with a number of bad characters trying to do what bad people do. Not to ruin the story ( don’t read further ) don’t believe at while a consortium might want to stop the main character’s work that they would resort to murder. Recommended

Jane, a scientist, has to run when some men attempt to come after her and her invention. I enjoyed how Jane and Patrick met after she mistakes Patrick's cabin as her brother's cabin. I enjoyed the chemistry between the two of them, the fast pace of Bad Landing, the characters figuring how to proceed romantically, and the danger and intrigue as the team investigates. Who is behind Jane and why?

Great characters and story, although I knew early who would turn out to be the bad guy. The reason behind making sure inventor Jane didn't survive kept everything interesting and intense. The way she and Patrick first met is classic and I loved them from the beginning! Continues a great series !

A little generic and expected—like a Hallmark movie—but an enjoyable, light read. I would have given this book four stars but there were glaring continuity problems. Leave a character behind in one place only to run into them already set in another place. A good edit would help here.

This romantic suspense is action-paced and based on faith. The chemistry between Patrick and Jane adds to the fun and the suspense. Through wit, they make the perfect team to derail the criminals who are trying to steal Jane's invention. Plan to stay up all night with this one.
