First of all , I would like to shout out everywhere that I have the conclusion to this story!!! Holly and Elijah's story has been an epic ride for me and there is no way I am ready to let go of these characters!

The third part starts from where the second one finished. Holly being severely injured is in the care of Elijah. He has gone through so much. From a beating , starvation to being shot , he has suffered a lot. But there is nothing that scares him as much as losing the one woman he has grown to love. The one woman who saw his demons and still danced with them. The one who never criticized him and knew about him being at his worst and never left him alone. That woman was dying and there was nothing he could about it!

This book was the turning point for these two. Part of them had already accepted that an HEA was not something in the cards for them. Still they fought for it. I wanted them to get it so bad!! Holly and Elijah deserved it and so much more!

We saw a lot of other book characters in this story too. The north brothers are a delight for me and I am definitely reading Liam and Joshua's book next! A definite recommendation to all the dark Romance lovers out there who would love themes like Kidnapping, kink and dark love with Second chances!!

Silver Lining is a thrilling and sexy conclusion to Holly and Elijah's incredible story. Skye Warren combines terrific writing with a fast-paced plot to give readers a satisfying ending to a fantastic trilogy.

"We're a runaway train and we won't survive the crash. but I'll die with the taste of her on my tongue."

The danger surrounding Elijah and Holly was greater than ever in this book, and that nail-biting ending in Gold Mine had me anxious to see what would happen next. These two have been through so much together, but their bond proved unbreakable even through the intense danger and unpredictable events. I really enjoyed the way they came to terms with who they are and what they mean to each other. Their soft moments weaved throughout the story were just as great to read and the tension-filled ones.

"'You came for me, Elijah.

I'll always come for you, sweetheart.'"

There was so much going on in this story and it all came together really well. The resolution was a satisfying one and I loved the way Holly and Elijah's love blossomed by the end. I really enjoyed the parallel story with London and Adam as well. Skye Warren is so talented in this genre and I can't wait to see what she has in store for her readers next.

Skye Warren's addictive and intense storytelling made Silver Lining an explosive and unputdownable conclusion of an epic series. It was sensual and steamy. It was adrenaline filled, dramatic and action packed. It kept me on edge and made me lose my mind completely.

Elijah and Holly found themselves in a complicated and dangerous situation. Holly did the ultimate thing to protect Elijah from the man trying to hunt him down. And now her life is in danger. Can Elijah save her? Will they have a future?

My heart felt like it's wrapped in thorns and they are constricting me all the time while reading this story. I forgot to breathe way too many times and that ending made me almost cry in relief. Elijah and Holly went through hell and my heart broke for them. Elijah was a living dead till he met Holly. He is whole lot of twisted, dark and violent. But this reckless and ruthless man felt love and it changed him. That was absolutely beautiful. I have fallen for this dominating and broken man who is ready to do ANYTHING for his love. Holly is the strongest woman. She loved the devil with all her heart. She embraced his darkness unconditionally. This story equally emotional and suspenseful. The power of their connection was palpable in every page. Desperate. Angsty. Intense. Intoxicating. Adam and London has their own story going on and I absolutely loved that part.

Skye Warren knows how to trap my heart in the web of her genius writing. Silver Lining was so exception. This is that kind of story that makes me want more and more even after I am finished with it.

Title: ➳ ❤ Silver Lining
Series ➳ Diamond Series 3#
Author: ➳ Skye Warren

⭐ ⭐ ⭐

ღ This is the final book in the trilogy (Holly and Elijah). Lord have mercy, once again the last installment (Gold Mine) left me so hungry for more! Then I went in hunt for Silver Lining, I immediately began to read & fell right back into the rabbit hole & I fell harder than the last book!

This installment picks up exactly where Gold Mine left off. With Elijah racing away from their harrowing confrontation with The Colonel, dragging a badly wounded Holly, back to another dark basement in another church. They both are in hiding trying to stay undercover. It is not long before both of them are captured & tortured for answers.

I struggled at times with this book only due to the fact is that Holly was laid up in a dirty musty Church battered and bruised from her gunshot wound, & all Elijah seem to do is think about 101 ways to fu$k Holly .. this is why, I gave such a low score for the book! Other than that, I really enjoyed this read...

At the end of the day, these two seem to had come full circle…… it’s seemed like they end up right back, where they started in Paris

Oh, I almost forgot, how much I enjoyed how that the author had given, both London & Adam some part of this book too…… I can’t wait to read more about London & Adam in the next installment … I also didn’t realize that each brother got his own series

📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion+ Also I wouldn’t never discourage anyone from reading this book.

Happy Reading --- Enjoy ……. Paulette Review

EXCERPT FROM SILVER LINING

Holly shifts closer to the edge of the cot, and my hands come up. Force of habit. I stop myself from touching her at the last moment as she eases herself onto the floor. “Don’t do this.”

“Don’t do what?” Her legs tremble with the effort of standing, and there’s high color in her cheeks, pain she tries to hide, but it’s so clear. It’s sketched all over her brown eyes like lightning across a dark sky. “Don’t move? Don’t talk? Don’t be a person?”

“Don’t hurt yourself.” It’s not often that I feel even an echo of desperation. I learned not to feel that a long time ago. But I feel it now, like a distant wave.

“You’re hurting me,” she whispers, and my heart clenches. Stops. Starts again.

I don’t know how to tell her that we won’t survive.

The right combination of words will never come. We’re sinking, drowning, and I’m going to smile and nod and reassure her all the way to the goddamn ocean floor. I’m not going to tell her that we’ll probably die. “I never said I knew how to love.”

Her eyes flash, surprise in the lift of her eyebrows. “You love me?”

“Why the fuck do you think I’m pushing you away?” This hurts more than the guilt and the shame. It’s an awful, tearing truth and it feels like sandpaper leaving my lips. It feels like fire in the lungs and steel through my gut.

“I thought it might be the other thing.” Both corners of her mouth turn down, vulnerability flickering through her expression and disappearing.

“Hate?” Every muscle reaches for her. Longs for her. My palms ache. “Yes, I think I hate you too. For making me want you. For making me weak. And most of all, I hate you for putting yourself in danger.”

The epic finale of Skye Warren‘s Diamond series is here and it blew me away. This whole series is a rollercoaster of epic porportions.

Silver Lining immediately starts off after the cliffhanger from gold mine. Elijah and Holly are together but fighting to stay alive and hidden after killing the Colonel. Obviously this book isn‘t easy either and they get seperated again.

Elijah and Holly‘s relationship is as much a rollercoaster as this series is. They‘ve been through so much that easily could‘ve been avoided if they weren‘t so stubborn but where is the fun in that?

This series was such a quick read! I read all 3 books in less then a day because I got sucked in so hard and needed to know what happened next. You will not want to put it down I promise you.

A crazy ride to the end!

Though this was the only book I hadn’t read previously, I did read Taken from start to finish because the story was that good and I wanted to be refreshed on the whole series. I loved every minute of it. There was so much intrigue and action and super steamy moments. Silver Lining was much better than most final books in a trilogy or series.

Much more happens in this book than in many ending books. Elijah and Holly get into more than one very sticky situation in this book and I was on the edge of my seat through much of this book. It wasn’t just a quick jaunt to the happily ever after like many last books in a series.

I am not going to give away the plot for this book, but I will say that I just love the dynamic between Holly and Elijah. They come from completely different worlds (Elijah was terribly abused by his alcoholic father until he ran away at 14 and lived on the streets and then joined the military as soon as he was able, while Holly came from an upper middle class background and traveled the world with her family at a young age). Yet they both became strong people that can handle whatever is thrown at them.

The chemistry between Elijah and Holly was sizzling hot and the supporting characters were absolutely terrific. I grew to like Adam as the story went on despite the fact that he kidnapped Holly and held her and Elijah in a dingy prison in the beginning. I also ended up liking Holly’s flaky sister London after she cleaned up her act. Elijah’s brothers Liam and Joshua were great as well and they each had their own issues stemming from their childhood like Elijah.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Elijah and Holly's story has come to an end...and what an ending it was! This story, actually the whole trilogy has been one heck of a ride.

Holly and Elijah are on the run yet again, will they be able to finally get away this time or has their luck finally run out? There is a secondary story that plays out and I am wondering if we will get more from this couple in the future....Skye if you're reading this I have both hands waving in the air as I jump up and down screaming YES I want more!!!

Break-neck pace and devastating emotion mark this finale to a superb trilogy of dark romance.

I am in awe of this author’s talent for beautiful prose and deep feeling. It's written with a relentless intensity that leaves you breathless and panting. I could hardly take a breath in between thrilling action, painful despair and cinematographic plot.

Holly and Elijah cling to their love through fire and death. It is more doomed than ever and that sensation of lost hope shapes their decisions and their passion. The latter pulses with a very twisted and somewhat sadistic angle. This couple thrives under duress and the steamy scenes are not only dramatic and arousing, but borderline cruel.

I loved the whole narration which I gobbled up like a fiend. It's raw and excruciating and wild to read like grabbing a rose and pressing through the thorns.

In this final book, the characters are cornered, desperate, at the end of their rope. They still fight like feral beasts to protect each other, to be able to love and dream. I don’t know if they would have survived all the hardhips and wounds and torture in real life, but the story felt like a James Bond film coloured with possessive love, torn personalities, and insatiable lust.

The odds against their enemies are huge. I enjoyed the harsh path they have to endure in order to reach that hard-won, full-circle ending, including the exciting appearances of North Security members and a fantastic side-romance with a certain kidnapper.

Now I wish I had the three books in my hand so that I could read them from start to finish :-D

His eyes are a match, and I’m kindling. I’m ready to burn into a massive flame.

Talk about going out with a bang. I couldn't have hoped for a better conclusion to this trilogy than Silver Lining.
You can’t fight the demons I fight when you have something to lose.

Since the major cliffhanger in Gold Mine, I've been waiting on the third and final book with bated breath. And it delivered on everything I had hoped and so much more. It was an intense thrill ride that I couldn't put down for even a second. I binge read it in one sitting and was left with a goofy smile on my face.

If you loved Elijah in the previous two books, prepare to seriously fall head over ovaries for the man in this one. Because OMG! Nothing beats an uber protective alpha that will protect his woman at any cost. The only thing better is when that woman is a fierce warrior in her own right. And Holly was FIERCE. Her introduction to Elijah's world was a baptism by fire, but nothing could have prepared her for everything that was to come. This story really brought everything to a head and then wrapped it up with a bow flawlessly.

I fell hard for Elijah and Holly all over again. There was not one chapter that dragged. And y'all, this never happens to me in a trilogy. Usually either book 2 or book 3 has some slower paced parts. Not this book, though. It was a thrill ride from cover to cover. And the fact that you get a two for one with the conclusion of Adam's story? Icing on the top!

I live for Skye Warren's books and this one is the perfect example of why. The woman is a master of combining sexy suspense with just the right amount of grit to make for one unputdownable read.

The perfect conclusion to Elijah and Holly’s captivatingly gritty story.
Okay, first of all, if you’re anything like me, you might need to go back and do a quick skim of Gold Mine’s final chapter... you know, as a refresher. Silver Lining picks up right where Gold Mine leaves off, and it’s all go-go-go from there.
Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, Elijah’s transition from career military man to a feeling, evolving being completes itself. But if you’re worried that means he’s not still a delightfully alpha a$$hole at times, you needn’t.
This book is a fight from start to finish. A fight for survival, and then a fight for life and love and second chances.
Once again, the additional POVs allow an intriguing insight into minor characters, while allowing the story to continue flowing in the right direction.
And the writing, as always, is flawless, poignant and paints the world in stark relief - sometimes heart-wrenchingly so.
The only thing disappointing about the end of this trilogy is knowing that it’s time to hop of the ride.

Intense and explosive conclusion to Skye Warren's Diamond trilogy.

Four lives have been intertwined for years dating back to a trip to Paris. When Holly and London were teenage girls visiting the city of love, Holly met Elijah and her life changed forever. Neither knew that years later their lives would take the turns it did, but even given their horrific circumstances neither would ever take it back, for even given the small window they had they knew a powerful love.

Silver Lining is told from multiple POV's. While Holly and Elijah have reached a tipping point in their lives; Holly has been shot and Elijah doesn't know if he's able to save her from her gunshot wounds or from the threat closing in even if she survives. She shot a US Colonel, even if he was dirty, and there is no escaping what the military will do to her. Love doesn't save every situation and Elijah knows there will be no happy ending for them.

Elijah has proven again and again what an amazing hero he is throughout this series. Yes, he's alpha to the extreme, but he has to be to endure what the military has put him through. His inner alpha beast certainly calls to Holly and these two are hot in every instance they spend together. I love that she's just as territorial about him as he is about her. Which brings us to Adam, the one man who really brings out Elijah's inner beast when it comes to Holly.

When we last saw Adam, Elijah had left him with a bullet wound in his side and London was trying to get her life in order after detoxing. These two are a mess, but somehow their mess works when they are focused on each other. I love that these two have come full circle and had a chance at redemption knowing a very different ending could have come about for both of them. I'd love to see a more in depth story between these two, but that is hopefully wishing.

This entire trilogy is high action, high heat, and super high intensity. It's one you don't want to miss.

The conclusion to this series is finally here and I was so excited to read what happens between Elijah and Holly.

Silver Lining started off right where Gold Mine left off. No recap, thankfully, just moving on and I was happy about it since it left me on pins and needles! Elijah and Holly are up against everyone it seems in this story and trying to navigate and survive the government and all it's corrupted players made this a fast paced book. Their love was definitely built around some interesting circumstances but how they are now at the end coming full circle is just perfection! I loved this book trilogy and now need to play catch up and read about the other brothers!

Definitely recommend this dark romance! Books must be read in order and love every suspense filled minute!

After the cliffhanger at the end of Gold Mine i was dying to read this book and it was worth the wait !!
Adrenaline, Fear, Hate, Love, Raw Passion, Sacrifice.
Each words characterizes this story.

Elijah and Holly had to fight (a lot) to get their happy ending, but they never gave up.

Elijah still feels unworthy of happiness, of Holly's love and it make your heart ache because he is that kind of man who doesn't trust easily, who doesn't let anyone in for fear but when he does...
He loves fiercely, with a scary intensity.
He is ready to sacrifice his life for her, and gosh he made me swoon 🖤
And Holly, she is no exception. She put herself in danger to save her man.
They belong to each other like no one else.
The deepness of their love is unbelievable.

Intrigue and action made the story more interesting, making the tender moments even more beautiful.

I loved the multiple pov, because it was like having an open window not only on Elijah and Holly' mind but also Adam and London who have been important side characters. They also deserved some kind of closure, and i'm happy the author gave it to them.

Silver Lining is the perfect ending for one of the best series i read this years 🖤🖤

Silver Lining
(Diamond # 3)
Written by: Skye Warren

He won’t let her die….
He will protect her….
He will die for her….

Opening book 3 was like I had just finished Gold Mine and walked directly into Chapter 1 of Silver Lining. Elijah will make sure that Holly survives no matter what happens, she will live and he will give his life for her, because they will catch up with them and they will torture them and he will die. This was Elijah’s truth.

Elijah North has come a long way from the man he was when he met Holly Frank in Paris. She is the first and only person he has ever cared for. He’s always known he would end up dying while working for Jefferson and now he knows the time is coming quicker than he would have liked.

Time moves quickly, pages fly by and there are parts when you almost stop breathing, the action moving full tilt from one incident to the next. Then as close as Elijah had been he was gone, Holly is alone and Elijah’s torment has begun and you can only believe that there is no hope.

Skye Warren lets readers experience the pain, struggle and agony Elijah goes through and leads readers in one direction, all while we watch Holly fight depression, hopelessness and almost give up. When she has reached that last place before quitting she remembers what London told her about Adam. If Liam and Joshua won’t help her she will make Adam help her, because deep inside she knows Elijah might still be alive and if he is, then she will find him.

I devoured this story! I couldn’t put it down and like every Skye Warren story I needed to walk away sort out my feelings, then, start that slow clap and say to Warren…. Magnificent! Bloody Magnificent!

„I’ll always come for you, sweetheart.”

This conclusion to the epic Diamond Trilogy is nothing short of incredible! Skye Warren sure knows how to keep her readers in the suspense, adding at the same time to her stories darkness, sex appeal and emotions. Silver Lining is a spectacular ending of Elijah and Holly’s story. And while we get the anticipated HEA, Skye still drags our hearts through the grinder first.

I can’t count how many times my heart stopped beating during this read. This couple went through real hell, their feelings were tested at every step, but the strength of their love helped them survive the danger we haven’t dreamed of.

I adore Holly for her devotion to the man other women would run from.

I love Elijah who would do anything to protect the woman that made him feel alive again.

These two share the connection so deep and intense that it’s unbreakable. They’re both fighters and survivors. They’re gonna make you scream, cry and your heart’s gonna swell from all the emotions!

Skye outdid herself writing this spectacular book. It’s angsty, twisted and deliciously dark. But at the same time it’s so… tender in some way. I find it very touching when the characters must fight for their love, and Elijah and Holly fought like no other couple. Silver Lining is the perfect title for the ending of this trilogy, because finally our characters found the light at the end of the dark, dangerous tunnel. Masterpiece!

Silver Lining is the conclusion to Elijah and Holly's story, and it was a whirlwind. Skye Waren has a way of pulling me into her stories and keeping me utterly captivated from start to finish. And this book was no different. It was action-packed and full of angsty and heart-pounding moments and I ended up reading it one sitting.

Elijah and Holly are now on the run from the government. With her being injured, the sensible thing to do is to lie low for a while. But there's nowhere safe they can go, even with all of Eli's connections. The enemy their facing is clever and won't stop until he gets what he's after. They're being cornered, and the only way to make sure Holly survives is for Elijah to surrender.

This dark romance is filled with danger, intrigue, and passion. The action is faced paced, but there's enough room to see character development. Eli and Holly grow closer, that connection they always shared intensifying. Nothing and no one is going to take them down, not without a fierce fight from either of them. I loved how much more confident and self-assured Holly is in this book. And the way Eli opens up to her, exposes his fears and confesses his love, really tugged at my heartstrings. Their love story is unconventional, and that's what makes it unique. By the end, they come full circle and that epilogue was perfect.

Yet another enthralling intense series from Skye Warren. I highly recommend it!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Elijah North has survived starvation and torture. Now he faces his darkest challenge: the possibility of life without Holly Frank. The woman he loves hangs in the balance. The family he found mourns in the distance. And the future he built crumbles in the wind.

This is the conclusion to the Diamonds Series. You have to read Diamond in the Rough and Gold Mine first. I will go ahead and warn you that you have to have time to read this book because it is fast paced and you will not want to put it down. Elijah and Holly have so much to tell that you won't be putting it down and it is just as fast paced as you can read. I loved it so much. Finally these two are coming to terms with what and how much they mean to each other and it all fall together into one epic conclusion to this series.

Holly Frank and Elijah North’s epic story comes an end in the last book of this trilogy. They have been through hell and back but can they finally find their salvation? We pick up right where the explosive cliffhanger left us and go full steam ahead until the very last page. This is a fast paced story full of action and a perfect ending to this romantic suspense trilogy. Don’t worry as we also get more London & Adam too. Told in multiple POV

This book had me alternating from sitting on the edge, anxiety overload, to bursting into tears, and finally, squirming in my seat. The conclusion for Holly and Elijah, it felt so much like Wanderlust, it was scary at times. They had real, honest, danger and pain. They had beautiful rough and hard moments together where their hearts were on display. They had loss, pain, and hardships, time apart, time together, and they lived through it, with one thing on their mind, get together, be together, love together. In the end, they made it through it all, belatedly realizing they were never really all alone together, but while they were together, others were looking at for them as well, and their future was what they wanted to make of it. Beautiful as any fantasy, and better, because it was real for them <3

Note: An ARC was provided by the author via Valentine PR.

I'm purposely being evasive when it comes to the details of the story because hello, spoilers and all that jazz. What I will say is that because this book is the third in a series and it does have a continuing story line involving one specific couple, Elijah and Holly, the Diamond series MUST be read in order: Diamond in the Rough, Gold Mine, and Silver Lining. The main characters go through a great deal, and sometimes, I found myself wondering if it was going to be worth it for either of them. But once again, Skye Warren highlights that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and these two, even when it seemed like the odds were against them persevered and fought for their future together. While not necessarily an easy read, as is often the case when it comes to dark romance, Warren's fantastic storytelling makes it all worthwhile. I'm giving Silver Lining five stars.

Silver Linings

The thrilling conclusion to this trilogy was fast paced, violently honest and satisfyingly cathartic.

Elijah really comes into his own in this instalment, where we realise just how vulnerable he is in his need for Holly. At odds with this, we are reminded of Holly’s unwavering strength, her pursuit of the life she wants and her faith in Elijah.

This story is told from multiple points of view and this was my favourite part. London and Adam brought very different facets to the story and were able to subtly tie so many loose ends together.

Silver Lining is a beautiful end to another fantastic trilogy, full of despair and desire and the quest for something more. Just brilliant!

This is where I think I needed a recap. Some of the events did come back to me, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if I read them all 3 together back to back. I will say it was nice to see the brothers together in the epilogue.

I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

And that how you write a finale!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. Skye Warren is one of my favorite authors ever and her writing always sucks me in from the first page.
You all need to read this fast paced, action paced, sizzling read!!!
We finally get to find out what happens with Holly and Elijah. Their lives are on the line. Can they escape and finally have peace?
The book was so quick paced that I breezed through it in an evening. I really love these characters. Utter perfection.

4 and 1/2 stars

This final book is fast paced and packed with action and emotion. At first, I wasn't sure how I felt about the direction the story was going in but as I neared the end, I realised that this was the right path. There is a sense of foreboding and dread right from the first page. Time is running out for Holly and Elijah. No matter where they run, they (whoever they are) will come for them. Question is what will happen to them? Within this story, I couldn't help but think of how people say that certain people come into our lives to teach us something important. And there are others that change us irrevocably. This is what happens to Holly. Her meeting with Elijah and subsequent connection changes her and life cannot return to what it used to be. In the same way, Elijah has been changed by Holly. Their love is strong and they will stop at nothing to save each other. It is endearing. I loved that multiple characters had their own chapters. I hope we get to see more of two individuals in particular.

Elijah is a man familiar with death, and has withstood torture and starvation. Nothing has prepared him for the agony of a life without Holly. Watching her suffer causes him pain he can't endure. Holly believes that love conquers all, and that nothing and no one can come between her and Elijah. But trapped in a world of danger and deceit, can they hope for a happy ending? Silver Lining is the final book in Elijah and Holly's story and it is a thrilling page-turner! Holly and Elijah are complex characters and their story is riveting and breathtaking! Elijah never had anyone to defend him and save him, so when Holly is willing to sacrifice her life for his sake, he is overwhelmed. Holly has lived a sheltered life, but she is resourceful and loyal! Their chemistry is off the charts!

And i regret it!
This is the last book of Holly and Elijah trilogy and i should have enjoy it and make it last.
But i can't!
Its too intense and gut wrenching!
I can't even lay down and rilex to read it let alone sit still!
This finalle is taking everything in me for Elijah and Holly HEA.
But like always, Skye Warren never let me down.
This baby North make me cry, lusting, fall in love and scared for his and Holly life more than once in their journey to the end.
And the Silver Lining of all? Is them. Its Ellijah and Holly together no matter what happen even when death standing in front of them.
Bravo Skye Warren for another epic journey!

This was the final chapter in Elijah and Holly’s story but for a while I didn’t think it would be a happy ending. I have to admit the beginning was heart stopping and the middle was heartbreaking, so much so that I read most of it through tears. There were certainly some surprises along the way, the least of which was Adam. It was great to see all the brothers together again and even the diamonds make a brief appearance. This is a quick read and it is fast paced and exciting and a fantastic conclusion to a great series

Thrilling and explosive conclusion to Holly and Elijah's story!!! Lana~White Hot Reads

Silver lining starts up right where Gold Mine ends. Elijah is worried sick about what's to come with Holly being hurt and being hunted. He will do anything to protect and save her. Their souls met years ago and nothing will come between them. Super, suspenseful conclusion to an awesome series.
