Dating My Brother’s Best Friends

Rate this book
My brother was doing me a favor when he asked his two best friends if one could be my date to a fancy work party. Unfortunately, BOTH of them showed up and now my rigid boss, who didn’t like me to begin with, thinks I’m in a polyamorous relationship. The kicker? She’s proud of me because it turns out she’s in a (secret) poly relationship too.

When I try to tell my boss the truth, things don’t go well. Now, to keep my job, I’m faking a relationship with Landry, the happy-go-lucky charmer trying to mask his pain, and Fletcher, my bearded, tattoo artist ex-boyfriend holding a grudge.

Soon, I’m creating spreadsheets to keep our facts straight, attending swanky parties at my boss’s (aka my new best friend’s) mansion, and even attending couples therapy. Then things get complicated…

Now it’s not just my career on the line, but my heart. Because Landry and Fletcher agreed to fake it, and I’ve fallen in love…with both of them.

Sienna, Fletcher, and Landry.

Sienna is in a new apartment, working at a new job, in a new city. She has a work event where she is expected to bring a date. She is almost to the point of choosing a random tinder hookup for her date when her brother Ross suggests she go with Landry, one of his best friends from high school football camp.

Only when Ross contacts Landry he’s in the midst of a bar fight, awaiting getting arrested. So Ross turns to his other best friend, one Sienna knows intimately. Her first love Fletcher.

Sienna turns up at the event, expecting to meet Landry. Landry recognizes her from her resemblance to her brother, but the flirty drunk hottie with the black eye is the last person Sienna is expecting.

“I’m hot and rich, and I have muscles in places you wouldn’t even believe muscles could be,” I said. “I’ll even go down on you in the back of the town car on the way to my place and you don’t have to return the favor.”

He flirts, but she dumps a drink on him before he gets around to introducing himself.

In the meantime, Ross also convinced Fletcher to show up, implying that the advances from the boss’ brother were aggressive. Fletcher is still hurting from their breakup, when she left for college, but he could never fail to protect her from a predator.

So she has two men vocally announcing themselves as her boyfriend ....

“You told everyone I was your date,” I said, pointing to Landry. He nodded, that dopey grin still on his face.

“And you told everyone I was your date,” I repeated, now pointing to Fletcher. Fletcher shrugged.

“And you just hugged him and shouted your love for him for everyone to hear,” I said, returning my attention to Landry.

He looked over at Fletcher. “I’ll shout it again if you want, man,” he said. “I mean it, I really do.” He dragged his gaze back to me. “And I love you, too, Sienna Lawrence. God, you’re gorgeous. Hell, you both are,” he said with a look at Fletcher that made me realize he really did think Fletcher was gorgeous, not in an objective observation kind of way, but in a, Hey, we used to play football together but I’d like to tackle you in a completely different way now kind of way. Interesting.

Fletcher patted Landry’s chest and assured him that proclaiming his love wouldn’t be necessary. And was I wrong but did Fletcher’s pat linger a bit on Landry’s chest? Again interesting, but my mind swiftly returned to a more urgent matter – the fact they’d both said they were my dates. ...

“So let me get this straight,” I said, my voice again shaky. “Everyone in this ballroom thinks that I brought two boyfriends, one drunk with a black eye and the other tattooed with a rude mouth, to my first big corporate event ever.”

The grin on Fletcher’s face made me wish I had punched him when I had the chance. “Don’t you just love being in a polyamorous relationship, babe?” he said as loud as he could, garnering the attention of everyone within ten feet.

And that was a lot of people.

While that pushes Sienna into the top of the gossip list, it also ingratiates her with her female boss, who happens to be in a polyamorous relationship. So suddenly, Sienna is begging Landry and Fletcher to be her pretend boyfriends.

Interestingly enough, while an attraction between the men is emphasized implying mmf, in practice they mostly share Sienna aka mfm. No double penetration, no anal sex at all, and the boys don’t share oral sex or hand jobs with each other.

Nice light story. Landry is a trip. Total failure at hide and seek, too.

Oh, and Landry is kinky. Though we don’t really get onscreen kinky play.

Sienna’s words were like a silk tie around my wrists, wrapped firmly, knotted, and knotted once more. Her words were a belt around each of my ankles, one on each bed post. Her words were a blindfold over my eyes, cutting off my vision so my ragged breath sounded harsher and needier to my own ears. Her words were a cock ring, and with every gasp the pleasure built and built and built. Her words were petite, delicate fingers around my throat, holding me down. And I stayed down not because I couldn’t easily shove aside her thin arms, roll her over, and pin her down beneath my twitching cock. But I stayed down because she wanted me to, because she needed me to. And I wanted to be needed.

Above all else, I wanted to be needed.

Absolutely loved this book... lies do need to come into the light but the fun you can have in the dark makes it worthwhile. Though there's history with Fletcher I have to say I fell head over heels with Landry and his way with words ;) But both? LAWD choices no such thing can be made and may not need to be.
