James: A Small–Town Holiday Romance

Rate this book
Kristen

All I want is to be wrapped in a blanket, binging Christmas movies.
But instead of revelling in Christmas cheer, I'm working.
Who arranges a corporate retreat in the last few days before Christmas anyway?
James Stanwell does, apparently.
And damn if he isn't a Christmas treat to look at.
But I've learned my lesson: no more guest romances.
Just keep telling yourself that, Kristen ...
Who am I kidding?

James

It's Christmas in a few days, but it might as well be any other day.
It's certainly no excuse for slacking off.
But that's precisely what the staff at my Whistler retreat have been doing.
I'm here to kick some ass and wipe that smug smile off their faces.
Until I meet Kristen.
Sweet, hard-working, and with a body that could melt snow.
She can tell herself 'no guest romances' all she wants.
But I'm not a guest; I'm her boss.
And I'm used to getting exactly what I want.

This possessive alpha is about to discover the magic of Christmas and what it means to spend it with the one you love. Instalove at Christmas is an upcoming series of standalone alpha shorts, each with a sweet yet steamy instalove theme.

There are no cliffhangers, absolutely no cheating, and you're guaranteed a HEA that'll put a smile on your face.

Kate Weiss' James is a sweet and sexy enemies-to-lovers Christmas romance. Stuck working the week leading up to Christmas with a client booking the retreat she manages, Kristen tries to make everything perfect. But the client is not just anyone - he is actually the retreat resort's owner, "undercover boss" James trying to figure out why the reviews have been so bad lately. James also happens to hate Christmas. But when an avalanche traps James and Kristen together, they are forced to confront the fact that as much as they seem to hate one another, there are electrifying sparks flying between them.

Kristen and James are engaging characters with sizzling chemistry between them from the moment they meet. Ms Weiss has written a fun, quick read that is highly entertaining and will fill you with just a bit of that ol' Christmas magic.

"James" is at the resort for a "Christmas Retreat", but really Bradly is trying to understand why his resort is loosing money while hoping to avoid the holidays. Kristen works hard, is good at her job, but has a soft heart and loves Christmas. When Bradly walks into the conference room he is ready to set things right, until he see Kristen he knows something is different about her.

James is a delightful story of finding love and opening your heart during the season. Kristen was amazingly written, I love her fierceness as she calls Bradly out and her passion for the season.

An amazing book one in the Instalove At Christmas series! It is well written, engaging, funny, emotionally deep, steamy, and quite the page turner. Likeable characters; the chemistry between them is instant and sizzling hot! Definitely recommended!

It's a cute and hot story, but sorry, how can it happen that there are FOUR times the name of the H wrong and two times a plot error?! It's only a short story and so many errors. Luckily, I got it as a freebie.
