They are after him. His guilty conscience is haunting him. The faith of the whole world is at stake. Marcus Grimshaw was their best agent. Unable to handle all his past sins and crimes in service to The Company, Marcus decides to run away, hoping to find some moral ground as excuse for his past. The same night he leaves the mission in Africa, his handler and estranged father is murdered. And Marcus is framed for his death. The only way he sees out of it all is to face his former employers--the people who are at the heart of every secret, within every mystery, inside every conspiracy. And now they were openly taking people's freedom, excused by a pandemic. Marcus knows that the road will be hard and traitorous, and that his mission is not one he is likely to survive. But the faith of the whole world hangs in the balance. And he must react.
the plot was good. a Shadowy Organization wants to get rid of a rogue agent who had killed his handler and gone into hiding except that he was setup when he wanted to get away from the shady work the organization was doing. so Marcus goes after the organization with the help of blogger who writes about conspiracies. He is chased, betrayed, caught but finally achieves in eliminating the guy who killed his handler who also happened to be his father.. and exposing the organization.
Author could have used a proof reader.. plenty of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors..
Failed melodrama. The writing is ponderous and blockaded, the characters are caricatures, and the editing nonexistent- if a word has a homonym, the wrong one was used. Barely readable
This story plays on conspiracy theories even as it seeks to debunk them. Although the plot is interesting, the story is marred by several misspellings, typographical errors, and some cliches in the dialogue.
A tad different to my usual books but nonetheless very enjoyable. A good cast list with a very well written story. A few twists that flow with the story.
