Evan Nilsen's Ideal Omega: • funny • gentle • just as awkward as Evan
I always imagined I'd end up with someone kind of like me. Maybe even a nurse so we could open our own practice, saving the world one omega or baby at a time.
But then Luis Alfaro walks in, scared, dark, and dangerous—and I freeze like the rabbit I am. I would happily let him devour me—literally-but he has other, more delicious plans to destroy me.
It's so easy for him to see into my soul, but he has walls so thick it feels like it would take a full assault team to take them down.
I know how to heal a body... but how can I heal his soul?
A Team A.L.P.H.A. and Alphabits spin-off series
Ready or Knot is the first book in a brand new series by Crista Crown and Susi Hawke. We've loved our soldiers and our mafiosos and all the good they've done in the world, but what happens after the saving is over and the healing begins? YAs always, you can expect to find naughty, knotty scenes of steamy passion, and all the fluffy mpreg feels and crazy antics you’d look for from Susi Hawke and Crista Crown.
I'm a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I'm excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What's not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I'm not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I'm definitely reading about them!
I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I'm pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don't find any kind of love to be weird. I'm a cis woman who's been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.
As a new author, it's been amazing to find the amount of support that I've been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I'm never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn't a fellow bibliophile.
I will try to update here when I'm doing promotional parties & chats. I usually do those on Facebook. If you haven't already signed up for my newsletter, you should totally do it! I only send out NL's to announce new releases or important announcements. I also like to note in my NL what I'm currently reading along with a cover shot and the link for anyone who is interested.
I loved book one a lot... but book two was a huge leap better! It is totally because of the two MCs! These two are such polar opposites and yet as fated mates they are each what the other needs to complete them. The other big thing about this book is Luis' history and the danger that it brings. Also really liked the way the authors sorta flipped their personalities as far as the alpha/omega dynamic went! Made for a very interesting read!
DNF at 2% no rating. I think I may need to take a break from reading. Nothing is really holding my interest right now and I have been dnf-ing a lot of books. This was like immediate lust/live fated mates. Just not in the mood for that.
What a great second book in the Knotted Paths series! I love this world. It is the world of Team ALPHA, the family Novak & STAHP. Old friends show up to help things along. This story has past abuse, shifter trafficking, illegal fights, revenge, very sexy times, a kidnapping, and fated mates with a twist. Luis, omega ocelot, has worked with STAHP, and volunteers at the Omega shelter. When he meets Evan, alpha bunny and resident baby doctor, the attraction is as intense as it is inevitable. Luis is definitely the more dominant. But he has a troubled past that won't let him go. When things get dangerous, Luis will have to call in the big guns of Team ALPHA. Don't worry...HEA is assured. Ooh, and with the quickest birthing scene on record! You are gonna love this book! I can't wait for the next in the series. Do yourself a favor. Read the first book now. This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
4.3 stars Revenge Luis is determined to seek vengeance against the evil shifter that completely ruined his life for seven years. Had he not been successful during his third escape attempt Luis would have perished under the brutal conditions and lifestyle he'd been forced into buy a criminal kingpin. Luckily he has some friends in STAHP to assist him in tracking his nemesis, though thus far without success in obtaining his revenge.
Luis scented his Omega fated mate at a party and the two though they are total opposites balance each other out completely. Luis is able to calm his Alpha Dr. Evan enough to focus his attention and even temper some of his clumsiness. Unfortunately Luis has a huge problem trusting and believing he deserves to be loved by his anyone let alone a mate.
What Luis doesn't realize is that despite Evan's seeming inability to concentrate it doesn't affect Evan being able to help him. Help that Luis desperately needs to be whole again. Help that Luis needs to bring his mate home. Help from many sources he never realized cared so much about the both of them.
Luis and Evans story I found this book to be quite short for Susi and Christa and it seemed to end abruptly. Saying that, i loved the book like I have every book in the different series. Evan is a gentle alpha doctor who specialises in Omegas. He volunteers at the Omega shelter. Luis is a martial arts fighter and trainer, he works at the Omega shelter teaching self defence classes. Lots of hot sex, MPREG, funny, past trauma, drama and of course a lot of our favourite characters pop in and out, what more could we ask for in the middle of lockdown. Knot Afraid (Knotted Paths Book 2) by Susi Hawke & Crista Crown
Another awesome fated mates story in this universe
I really like seeing Evan and Luis make a life together. Once the were able to really talk to each other they were able to start to let the past go and move forward, happy and content.
I will admit, at first I was a bit worried that Luis would hurt Evan because of his need to be independent. But I shouldn’t have worried! These authors are great at having characters who learn that independence isn’t about standing alone but being strong enough to stand with others. Luis learned that relying on his mate didn’t make him weak and Evan found someone to accept just as he is. Beautiful!
This was a very riveting and entertaining read. I loved Luis and his tough personality for being an omega. The story truly held my attention and tickled my funny bone at the same time, although, there were a few moments of sadness that Luis and some of the secondary characters had experienced. Evan's friend Lila was such a hoot as well as many of the other characters. It was also nice seeing River, Dante, and Nacho (from the previous series) again. The mating between Evan and Luis was wonderful (great power balance) and the ending was fantastic (never read of a birth quite like that) :).
This was really an awesome book. And I honestly think that Luis is my new favorite character. He is fierce as heck and yet some how vulnerable. maybe not with everyone but he definitely is with Evan, he actually reminds me of River a little bit.
The knotted paths series is definitely off to a great start and I can't wait to see what Is in store for the books to come. Susi and Crista did a wonderful job :)
Evan and Luis are so cute together. Luis is an omega that was trapped in a shifter fighting ring for years before he escaped. Once free he began teaching self defense and martial arts. Evan is an alpha who works as a labor and delivery dr. He's a rabbit shifter while luis is an ocelot. They meet at a baby shower for a baby Evan helped deliver. Luis had been teaching the omega self defense, and they recognized that they were mates right away
This book revolves around Luis who teaches self defense at the omega sanctuary introduced in the previous book and Evan a doctor at the sanctuary. We also get brief action from shifters in the previous book along with the team from ALPHA series. It was so good to catch up with them all but this book could be read as a standalone. Luis and Evan are great with each other. This book has danger, kidnapping, action and lots of steamy love with a HEA.
This series is an expansion of a popular world and this book is a lovely read. An Alpha doctor who is happy to submit to his feisty, sassy fighter Omega mate, a sleazy bad guy make this an easy and enjoyable experience, it was nice to have the team ALPHA guys make an appearance. Another good one by these brilliant authors.
I have enjoyed every one of these authors stories, and this was certainly no different. It was a sweet, adorable, and feisty story with an unusual pairing, which made it that much more wonderful. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional authors.
Luis was an omega who was use to being in control, when he meets Evan an alpha doctor, who can't even walk straight without tripping. They both knew they were fated mates, but they had to learn when and where they could use their dominance to strengthen their relationship. Things from Luis past threaten their future.
You can always trust Susi and Crista to deliver. I loved the role reversal in this book, it was gripping and the flashes of past characters just added to this cool Chicago world.
I loved how this one managed to bring together all the different groups without a baby shower/naming when they went after the evil Polar Bear, a great addition to the series
I always love the books in this series (and all the preceding series) so I wasn’t surprised that this one was great. I love when we see Alpha and Omega stereotypes tossed out the window to help us remember that all people are unique.
Absolutely loved this book. Getting to see Evan and luis relationship take off andbecome what it was ment was great. Loved the bringing in the team alpha and staph and all of it. ..guess that is why it is knotted paths lol plus. Yah. Lol
Evan and Luis do not follow what some might think of as alpha/omega and that adds to this story. I enjoyed their interactions and how their relationship flowed even while things were going a little crazy. We get to see some glimpses of familiar faces but the focus is on Evan and Luis.
Although this seemed like a shorter book than the previous books/series written by these amazing authors, (Ms. Crista and Ms. Susi) the story of Luis and Evan was sweet.
I really liked Luis and Evan they are different than your usual alpha omega paring, and very different from each other. But the life and love they build was very sweet and hot, and I enjoyed it immensely
*WARNING* has adult m/m situations In this story, the alpha and the omega personalities often seem reversed. It's nice to see the supposed weaker of pair be the one to take charge and do the protecting.
I love the world of the ALPHAS and every character that have come from theses many series.....I truly hope there are more books to come, as I really want to read more from the ALPHAS and Alphabits and the world they inhabit.
There's nothing to dislike about this book at all I'm so happy that Nacho was in this book I know when you write his story it will epic. I never get tired of reading the series from the beginning to end. Everyone should read this at twice.
Who didn’t fall in love with the klutzy doc in book 1? I love how he and Luis make it work!! It is always a party when you throw Stahp and team Alpha in the mix!!!
What a wonderful book looking forward to the next installment sadly I can't give the reveiw I want to give because it would be full of spoilers but love this book
As always an awesome book by Susi Hawke and Crista Crown! Not your usual alpha/omega pair, but an amazing story of love and support! Don't miss this book!
