I like the flashback we are getting for Ryang-Ha and that we get to find a little more about our characters.
Chateau is still the same quiet character, but I hope we'll get a glimpse of her past too and maybe understand why she is the way she is.
P.s. I also like the protective side Ryang-Ha starts showing ~ heheh ~

Chateau’s unfortunate driving tour ends with a save at the hands of Ryang-Ha, who nurses her back to health. We soon learn that all this is tied to the past, but that just leads to even more questions. Also things get shot, naturally.

This is truly the manga version of a summer blockbuster. It is very of its genre and shoots (whoops) for easy to read characters and all the bombast it can get away with in the confines of its pages.

And hey, that’s okay, you don’t need to be punching out the next Death Note or Monster for me to have a good time. Once more, the action, when it happens, is so well drawn that I wish there was more of it - it’s truly where the mangaka’s heart lies. The shoot-out that punctuates this volume is great and once more I laud how easy it is to follow.

Honestly that saves the book, as the rest of it is very pedestrian. I did like the flashback for Ryang-Ha, which shows that he has always been a very cheerful sort of assassin. Again, this is action movie levels of motivation, but it’s fun and breezy as he annoys the mob.

Chateau is where the book still has issues. And if you like these ‘damsel falls for guy’ sort of narratives, you’re fine, but I was annoyed to see that she’s once again canny, strong, and resourceful… and still gets one-upped for her troubles. Sigh.

She and Ryang-Ha have a fun chemistry, not surprising given their history (oh yes, insert star-crossed backstory here). He’s a little less pushy this time, more protective, and it was smart to put the link between them in this volume because it makes him a smidgen less stalkerish.

The author keeps referencing the work he did on the web version and it sounds like that had more date-style encounters for the two and I feel like that could have livened these sections up a tad. The plotting is definitely secondary to my enjoyment compared to the action.

3 stars. I mean, no, it’s not good enough for four stars, call me when Chateau actually gets to do something, but it’s not the worst thing I’ve read and as a slight read it’s a pretty good time, so what more do you want? Just toss me the popcorn and let’s go.

Again! This is so great! I can't wait for Chateau's past to unravel! And damn, I'm a softie, I cried, okay?! I love how Chateau is comfortable around the Dankworths in the past. And I adore just how Ryangha's appearing in every scene, damn this stalker, but you are really needed, boy. And can I talk about how cool Chateau's dresses are?! I love it!

This series is really interesting! The art is great, and the plot moves fast! I'm hoping to get some answers in the next volume!

I would recommend this series!

*Audibly gasping for air*
This one got soooo much better. I still have some issues, like how I am still not feeling much chemistry from the two mcs but I am hoping that will change as it goes on.

Oh my gosh I had forgotten how the first volume ended, what a cliffhanger! I'm also dying to know what the connection between Chateau and Ryung-Ha is.

This manga is fantastic, the mysterious background of both the main characters. The romance development and unhinged male lead, is just too good.

Today's post is on Love of Kill, vol 2 by Fe. It is 162 pages long and is published by Yen Press. The cover has Chateau an Ryang-Ha in it looking cool and dangerous. As it is the second volume in the series, you need to have read the first volume to understand the story. The intended reader is someone who likes mystery and thriller manga. The story id told from third person close of the main characters. There Be Spoilers Ahead.
From the back of the book- After being chased down and driven to the brink of death by a mysterious man with a tattoo on his face, Chateau's left with more questions than answers. And when her assailant tells her Ryang-Ha's to blame fir the attack, she can't help but wonder about her fellow assassin's past. Meanwhile, Ryang-Ha recalls the betrayal that set all this in motion.

Review- A lot of character development happens in this volume from sees the character's past to how they interact with the present. The volume starts where the last one left off with Chateau in danger and Ryang-Ha trying to find her. Ryang-Ha knows the bad guy and the bad guy is after him for revenge. Most of this volume is flashback to what happened in both Chateau and Ryang-Ha's past. But that flashbacks didn't slow the story down, they helped add context to previous scenes and present scenes in the manga. I liked seeing what drives our man characters and I am looking forward to reading the next volume.

I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

I'd go on the higher side of 3.5 with hoping it continues to get better. We get good story development and backstory. Things in the present move much slower and quieter, which is fine. I'd like to know more about the main two to help get invested in them. My biggest gripe is a spoiler, but I can safely say that some of the characters look very similar and I was confused for a short while. (I'm also not crazy about the goofy art style for "Indian Guy.") I really like how the art captures the entirety of a scene from a sensory pov - one panel of cars and men in suits outside a building screams yak uza so loudly that you can "feel" it. Many panels like this slow it all down and add depth and impact.

[Chapter7-12]

This one is definitely better than first volume and I’m actually happy to see how the story is progressing.

Slowly, one by one secret started to unravel and it just make me speculating A LOT right now hahaha my brain hurts

Ryang-Ha gave me massive red flags vibe but I think, there’s something so complicated going on especially his connection with Chateau-chan

All and all, I will continue and I AM READY TO BE SURPRISED SO NEXT VOLUME, you have huge responsibility to me at this point 😏🙌🏻

I really enjoyed this volume. Volume one, I was feeling it but not exactly sure about it yet. This volume, though, I really enjoyed.

Like the first volume, there was action and death but this volume gave us a little more background about these two characters. Also there was a cute chubby pug involved!

This volume made me really want to go pick up the next couple of volumes to continue with this series.

Less stalker vibes in this volume Ryang-ha, very good of you.

While there wasn't necessarily character growth in this volume, we do get some more backstory in this volume AND a lovely twist to round of the character backstory that leaves me with *questions*. I am now intrigued.

We do get very little of the secondary characters we met in Vol. 1, but I'm thinking that is due to establishing some more backstory for Ryang-ha and Chateau.

Still a fair amount of setup occurring in this volume. It was a little drab. But I like the art style, I love that color pages are included. This isn’t the kind of story that immediately hooks you, but I like Ryang-ha. We got some of Chateau’s back story which is shedding more light on her character. I have high hopes that the next volume will hold more intrigue.

I don't know if I am just dumb as fuck, but I thought Seung-Woo was Cheateau's dad for most this and that Ryang-Ha killed her dad. I know that timeline would make no sense, but in my defense they kind of look similar. Anyway, I really enjoyed this!

child chateau and her father are so cute. I quite enjoyed this volume, with the church scene and her background info. and wow, he really did just kill that guy, that's probably why the spider web cheek tattoo guy hates him.

I waited long for the second volume. I found 2nd and 3rd at a book store and had to cop, cause I knew my work had 4-7. This was great. I am really invested now. I am seeing the connections between the two MC and I am interested to see how it plays out.

I guess, on to the third volume!

I like this manga so far!! It still feels like a bit of an introduction, but it’s good :) I can’t wait to see more of Chateau’s past and hopefully see Ryang-Ha grow more on Chateau (even though Ryang-Ha still confuses me a bit with why he’s always so protective, almost, of Chateau).

This was a much better volume than the first. The pacing was much better and a lot of questions were raised in this one. Who is Ryang-Ha exactly? How is he connected to Chateau? And who is Chateau? I have so many questions, and I want answers. I am officially engaged.
