Had potential...

I hate giving bad reviews because I know how much authors depend on them for success. So maybe this book was not for me, which is why i rate it 3 stars. It definitely had potential but unfortunately the main character spends most of the book in love with someone else. The love story in total is probably 1/4 of this book and i found myself yearning for more scenes with Matthew and Eden. I also think we could have gained a lot of value if we had some of Matthews POV. This author definitely can write, this I won’t deny, i loved her last two books so I will definitely be back for the next. You can’t love them all.

Cutesy rom-com with a little triangle that was disappointing (I didn't much care for the appointed heroine in this story). And the big movie star was an ok kinda guy, but so full of himself that cheering for him was a real effort. And then there was the FBI hottie -- and I've always had a thing for FBI guys -- and he truly was law and order and carried it well.

My first read by this author. As you can see, I wasn't overwhelmed -- at times downright annoyed -- but a quick read on a Friday evening from my Kindle Unlimited backlog.

A-List Kiss was funny, engaging, with some drama and suspense. Overall the characters were enjoyable and storyline was well written.

It’s a very slow pace book. Eden managed to secure an interview with the man of the dreams; Gavin Braddock. However, she accidently ends up as part of an FBI sting operation as she gets sent to the wrong room by the staff and that’s where she meets Special Agent Matthew Decker (he saved her life).

Her meetings with both Matthew and Gavin were amazing, there wasn’t much happening on her trip whilst she was with Gavin, however things did get a bit more interesting when Matthew appeared on scene. We also learn that she is being used a prop by Gavin as the it is rumoured that he is gay, Gavin as well as his PR want the rumours to stop (an article had been written, rumoured that the two eloped and Gavin and his PR didn’t seem to mind this false news).

I wasn’t a fan of her relationship with Gavin, he was basically using Eden for publicity, (but glad he still decided to stay friends with her even after rejecting his proposal), however when it came to her relationship with Matthew…OMG!!! It was amazing, like it was perfect. Matthew and Eden were perfect for each other.

Hell No.

“stuck my Chanel slingback into the crack”…”even the two-tone Chanel slingbacks on my feet were all important”…. “trotted through the automatic doors, my Chanel slingbacks “

Chanel slingback mentioned three times within four pages ~ oh, me.

Clueless meets Tori Spelling … can you say airhead?

A more annoying FMC could not be found. I didn’t make it halfway through the sample and felt like I was reading the equivalent of nails scratching down a chalkboard.

Advice: Download the sample if you’re curious.

When Eden gets the chance to date her childhood idol, will he turn out to be the hero she had imagined, or will someone else keep distracting her and ultimately be the one for her?

This is a cute, charming piece of fun. Eden is adorable and the 2 men she finds herself in the middle of turn out to be equally as fun. Altogether not the hottest story I've ever read, but definitely laugh out loud funny and entertaining.

I thought this book was quite enjoyable. The storyline was fun and engaging and I found the very characters likable. A solid blend of humor, emotion drama, romance and suspense captures your interest and more importantly keeps it. This is my independent, impartial review.

A-List Kiss by Brenda Lowder a five-star read you would love to kiss. This wasn’t always a five-star read and a couple of times it was just too terrible, but overall, I loved it. It was a lovely time just ignoring the world and running away with a movie star, and then it just went from a great rom com at the movies to action and drama that brought it up nicely. I haven’t checked this author out before, but I will certainly be checking them out again.

A-List Kiss makes sure that you'll never lose your sense of humor. Matt, Eden and Gavin are a laugh a minute. Lowder goes for the funny bone and walks away with the heart. Escape into a world where the smiles never end and the heart never wants to leave.

A-List Kiss follows tv news reporter Eden Perry who has the chance to interview the movie star she dreams about, Gavin Braddock. Unfortunately, her plans become more complex when she accidentally becomes part of an FBI sting operation. Instead of meeting with Gavin, she ends up in a room with Special Agent Matthew Decker. Eden finds herself finally getting to spend time with Gavin while also getting to know Matthew.

The story is a little over-the-top as Eden is torn between the two possible love interests who each offer something different. Gavin is the man of Eden’s dreams, so it is cute reading about her living out the dream when the two of them meet. There is also Matthew who provides a nice opposition to Gavin. While this is a love-triangle story, the author attempts to tell it in an unconventional way. Eden’s character is a little all over the place at times where it is difficult to connect with her. The ending is cute and sweet, and the author’s general writing style was enjoyable. This story needs a little more to feel complete, but I do look forward to reading more from the author in the future.

A-List Kiss was a cute and fun novel that I would probably rate 5 stars if it was not for the main characters little sister. I understand giving grace to siblings who may feel like they are not good enough, but that is by far not a reason to treat your older sister like crap. Especially when the main character never acted like she was the better sibling? She went to such extremes to try and bring down the main character that it was ridiculous. And then to have the main character's best friend tell her that she needs to give her little sister some slack? Her behavior was too problematic for it not to bother me. Other than that I feel the ending was rushed just a little bit, and I wished we could have seen the main love interest develop a bit more because it had such a strong beginning. Overall, celebrity crush tropes usually annoy the crap out of me but the way this was written did not. I quite enjoyed the inner turmoil in the mc and thought the progression of her feelings were written nicely.

It was a good try, kinda

I hated Eden. She had no personality other than overly impressed with brand names. She's a complete doormat. I liked Gavin and Matthew because they weren't character sketches. As someone pointed out earlier at work, everybody likes food. Matthew was a bit more basic perfect man character. But I liked Gavin. He showed real vulnerability in Paris and only wanted someone who wanted the man. He tries to give Eden the movie star she wants him to be only for that to feel empty for both of them. He tries to show her his world and she wants nothing to do with it. The plot of the bad guys wasn't really important and ended up being shallow and worthless--much like this book. I applaud the idea but the execution was horrible.

Maybe 3.5.

Maggie got to me. I just couldn’t get her. Maybe it’s just ‘cause I’m lucky enough not to have a manipulative(?) little sister like her. (Mine is awesome!) But she knocked the rating down a peg for me - even if she wasn’t one of the main characters in the story.

I liked all the characters and the progression of the story. I like how the action amped up at the end, and there was a great ending for Eden not only romantically but in life in general.

Thanks to FB feeds and Kindle Unlimited for bring this tale to my attention!

DNF at 41%

I did not realize this was going to be a book where they were two love interests. I do not read love triangle books or books where the main Character is in love with someone else for the majority of the book.. I made it to 41% and came to read reviews to see what was going to happen and I’m stopping. Call me old-fashioned, but if I’m going to read a book, I want it to be about one relationship. I know that might not be the way other people feel, it’s just me.

I’m giving the book 3 stars because it was engaging, but I’m not finishing it because It’s not for me.

A fun story about a woman who has loved a movie star from afar for half her life and the opportunity that allows her to live out her dream of being adored by him. Of course, romance never goes as smoothly as one would like. After botching an FBI sting and trying to make amends and having a jealous sister to contend with, you can see that the real romance is between the opposites that attract. I enjoyed this story very much. Would love to see some of the secondary characters get their chance at love as well.

I didn't have much expectations for this book as I just needed a little pick me up. I will give kudos that this book did make me LOL a few times, but the character development and plot was disappointing and all over the place for me. I felt like there were a few unnecessary parts of the book that took soooooo long to talk about. I also felt like I wanted to know more about Matthew. He played a significant part at the end but his character development alongside Eden wasn't really that good.

Not really fair to say I read it because I stopped early on. I didn't find it funny, but could tell the author was trying. The girl seemed weirly desperate but the part that turned me off, was the fact it was kind of dirty, and I saw it going more that way. Not worth it to me.

This story just didn't engage me. I forced myself to read as much as I did but once it turned crude, it was easy to give up.

Excellent Chick Lit

I happen to be a huge fan of chick lit! Most of us have been in similar places and can totally relate. This book is no exception. Strong female characters and just enough machismo on the male characters to keep you turning the pages. Loved the dialogue and the descriptions of the locals made me feel like I was an observer watching the characters from a distance!

I am sorry for the award of only 3 points. the story has big potential. In my opinion there were too many sidelines and too little focus on the main character. I wanted to read more from Eden and Matthew, the chemistry between the two was easy, sweet and funny. Maybe I just can't understand the adulation of a actor.

At first I was skeptical about the book because it's my first 'dating a celebrity' type of book and woooow this book def took me by surprise!! I really enjoyed reading the book and the female character? She's a hoot!! I was team Special Agent Matthew Decker right from the beginning!! I'm excited to read other books by this author!!

A-List Kiss: A Romantic Comedy--PG
Violence: a gun shooting
Language: fewer than 40
Sex: yes, almost for recreation, which increased the ick factor

I would describe this as madcap and rich fantasy. It is pure escapism and was a really fun read. In a story like this, I want to connect with my heroine. I wouldn't even be Eden's friend.

Well written but the mc wasted a lot of time with someone who’s not her endgame
Gavin and Eden were a good idea
Éden and Mathew were a good idea
A book for each would’ve been great
This was a wasted romance it could’ve been more :/

A-List Kiss: A Romantic Comedy gets my vote!

This new to me author gets kudos for writing this steamy romance about Eden and her childish crutch on Gavin until she meets the real love of her life, detective Matthew who steals her kiss and her heart!

This is the fifth book I've read from this author. I really enjoy the laughs and fun integrated with solid character growth. I wasn't only rooting for Eden and Matthew's relationship but for Eden. It's also well-written and a great read, especially in times like these.

A-List

Funny how a reporter, Eden, who is
going to interview a star, Gavin, gets involved in FBI business. Eden ends up dating Gavin, goes to Paris and runs into Matthew again. An awesome, funny adventure.
