I’m a man haunted by my mistakes of the past. I’d achieved my dream, lost it, then found my place with the Satan’s Devils MC. Of course, being me, I blew that as well. Worse, I walked out on my brothers.
Is this who I want to be? Of course it’s not, who sets out to be a failure?
When I get an opportunity to become a new man, I grab it with both hands, but before I can make the most of the chance, history catches up with me. I become snared in a web from which I can’t escape and at its centre is a spider intent on killing me.
It’s too late for redemption, unless I beat the odds and stay alive. But damn it, it’s hard. How can one body take so much punishment and not die? It wouldn’t be possible unless a man is driven to protect the woman he loves.
Manda’s life's always seemed a bit weird, starting with a childhood that even today she’s still trying to make sense of, then losing her parents in the late teens. Going from the tragic to the bizarre, who else could be unlucky enough to have had two car accidents, neither her fault, one involving a nun, and another involving a police woman?
There isn’t enough space to list everything that’s happened to Manda, or what she’s learned from it. But by using the rich fabric of her personal life, psychology degree, varied work experiences, and amazing characters she’s met, Manda is able to populate her books with believable in-depth characters and enjoys pitting them against situations which challenge them. Her books are full of suspense, twists and turns and the unexpected.
Manda lives in the beautiful countryside of Essex in the UK, the area’s claim to fame being the Wilkin’s Jam Factory at nearby Tiptree. She can usually find jars of jam which remind her of home wherever she goes. As well as writing books and reading, Manda loves walking her dogs and keeping fit. She lives with her husband of over 30 years, who, along with her son, is her greatest fan and supporter.
Manda is thankful that one of the more unusual, and at the time unpleasant, turns her life took, now enables her to spend her time writing. Confirming, in her view, every cloud has a silver lining.
What a fantastic addition to the Satan’s Devils Utah Chapter this book is. Book two in the series focuses on Stormy, those familiar with the series will remember how he walked away from the club, if you’re not get the the first book read pronto then you’ll have a better understanding all round plus you’d be getting another great read to treat your peepers to, anyway as I was saying Stormy stormed out leaving his brothers behind, but is he gone for good? Will he be back? Will they even let him back and if so in what capacity? We get all those answers and more in this thrilling, captivating page turner of a book. I hold my hands up I was a little dubious in the beginning as we were hearing from Swift’s POV but wow, Manda that was good you totally had me hooked, I was like... How? What? Why? Eh? 🤷🏻♀️ As an author you’ve truly excelled yourself with this one, Stormy was all that and more, each book gets better and better. I loved Stormy, I loved Cat and together they were perfect for one another. I feel honored to be part of the Satan’s Devils journey and look forward to seeing what exciting adventures have yet to come.
Stormy’s Thunder is the second book in Satan’s Devils MC Utah Chapter Series by Manda Mellett. I have eagerly followed the Satan’s Devils since the very beginning, all through the original series and on to the newer spin-off chapters. And as always, I know I can rely on Ms. Mellett to deliver a story that not only captures my attention, but will also bring some unexpected developments, which inevitably make me sit up and really take notice. To be honest though, I really didn’t like Storm going into this book- having met him previously. But as the story progressed and we were taken back in time, I was given a different perspective of the man- and Stormy and Ms. Mellett not only won me over, but had me rooting for him (and Cat) right till the end. As always, if you love a really beautifully written and riveting MC story- with complex, quirky and endearing characters, steam and sizzling, emotion, action, suspense, and dramatic developments- then you definitely won’t want to miss this. Be warned though, as you may discover that one of Ms. Mellett’s books may prove addictive, and one will never be enough!
What another fantastic addition to the satan devil's Utah chapter!
I do have to admit when I previously read about Stormy in Road's book I wanted to give him a good shake up to make him realise what he had around him. What I never took in to consideration was his story that made him like he is, bit by bit as his story unfolds my heart sank. I wanted to wrap him up and squeeze him. This story made me sad, angry, well I had a tornado of different emotions to be honest.
Cat coming into his life was a curve ball for Stormy that swept him off his feet and gave him a purpose in life, it came along with a few hurdles that had me gripping my kindle.
I just have to finish off with WOW! these stories keep getting better
High five to Manda for this one, she totally twisted me around.
What a wild ride!! I wasn't sure how Manda would win me over to Team Stormy, but I am the President now of the Stormy Fan Club. Stormy is such a lost soul and lashes out at everyone since he does not trust anyone. Cat is a woman who has lost a lot and feels she may never get her HEA. When the two of them meet and decide to see what the future holds for them, it gets crazy. During their journey they are faced with several issues and circumstances that tests their love for each other. Their strength and determination to get through everything is amazing to watch.
Manda once again proved to me why she is in the list of my top 5 authors!!!
Stormy's Thunder: Satan's Devils MC Utah by Manda Mellett is a contemporary romance story. I have loved each and every book and the alpha sexy men and women that are part of a community of these and other MC chapters. In this book Stormy is not a likable man and he is someone that you want to strangle or something equally bad too. But in usual Manda style she showed us what the man is made of and what has brought him to the place he is now in. Once knowing that it makes you do a complete 360 and want to give him big ol’ hug. This story really packs a punch and has a lot going on.
But after reading this, I understand him. I do like him now. He wouldnt be my favourite character but I no longer dislike him.
I think Cat is a good fit for Stormy. She settled something inside him. Esp as she was kidnapped and abused by family too. Being a nurse means she would be good fit for the club too.
I liked looking back into Stormys past and it really helped understand why he was the way he was.
It was certainly a interesting Ride! I am very Uncertain and Uncomfortable about the Book, I loved it and Hated it! But isn't that why we love reading! I really did not like the Start and that is the only reason why its 4 and not 5 stars, but the Ending was Spectacular it was brought to a Close in a Spectacular and Fantastic way!!! Personally I feel the beginning was way to long....... Manda Mellett does Not shy Away from difficult topics and does bring it to the forefront! People need to be aware of what is going on in the real World! Human trafficking is Not a Joke.

What an amazing read! This is the second installment in the Utah chapter and it does not disappoint. The first book was just such an edge of your seat book and this one is no different. I am very happy that we got a chance to get to know Stormy better and figure out more of what was going on. This is another great book by the wonderful Manda Mellett! She never disappoints!!
I love this book seeing how the last book ended I was wondering how stormy was going to redeem himself and he sure did and more a man played by guilt that wasn't his to bear. He found the women of his dreams when he wasn't looking seems the Tuscan chapter is rubbing of on these men. Things were touch and go there for a while but this series never disappoints love it
Stormy's Thunder is a great addition to the Devil Utah Chapter. I truly love this MC world and Manda gives it all the justice it deserves. This one delivers lots of twists and turns, that will keep you blazing through the pages.
Wow, wow, wow! These books sure do pack a punch and Stormy's story is no different.
He's the brother we all loved to hate in Road's book, with, I though, good reason. It's amazing how we only see what we want, and this guy, well he's nothing like what I expected.
So much happens in this book - betrayal, trust issues, torture, Drummer getting p*×@ed at Pip, AGAIN! This, I think, is one of my favourites. And dont even start me on Cat. She's everything. Self sufficient, intelligent, ordinary, brave - just what that man needs and, after you read his story, deserves.
So, now I love Stormy as much as the others. Which means Manda has woven her magic again. Well done!
Absolutely fantastic story. This book is intense, twist and turns and so much more. You never know what’s going to happen with Stormy’s and the MC chapter. I loved every moment of this book and looking forward to more of Manda stories.
Wow how does each book get better and better! It blew my mind 1st chapter hearing from Swift! As for Stormy I was not sure of him. He wasn’t my favorite but let’s just say my judgment of him changed! I really understood him and Cat was so perfect addition. The Utah chapter is really getting so good and can not wait for more! Great read!
Another amazing read. Stormy was a mysterious character in the previous book and I didn't know if he was going to get a book to redeem himself and it was not a disappointment...it was fantastic and a different side to a story.
Stormy is a brother in the Satan’s Devil MC Utah chapter that I have a love to hate with but after reading his book you now understand why he acted the way he did. Stormy has trust issues that you finally understand.
Cat is good for stormy she grounds him. Cat is strong woman who has to over come a lot in this book and comes out even stronger.
Manda you have did it again and I can’t wait for your next book!!
The damaged Stormy is looking for answers and finds Cat his one that brings peace. But the past comes back to hurt them both and the club. Great addition to this series.
This is where you finally get to know Stormy and totally understand why he's the way he is. The answers take you on a heart twisting journey from not just his side of the story but from Swift's side too which takes it to a whole new level. Absolutely love Manda's writing that it never disappoints.
Love the devils Love this series All the feels Twisted intense emotional broken heart stopping gripping love story of Stormy and Cat Cant wait to see what and who's next
If I had to sum up Stormy's Thunder in one word, riveting! Stormy got his nickname honestly and he made quite the impression in Road and Swift's book. Frankly, I wanted to hit him in the kneecaps with a baseball bat. A likeable fellow he is not. In that area, Ms Mellett had quite the task from the start of this book and she opened it with a crash. Starting up several months after Stormy abandoned the club, he comes roaring back only he isn't talking. Unconscious and knocking on death's door, Swift and the Utah chapter try to figure out where he was and who put him in this condition. To get us where we need to go, we go back to the beginning and learn who Stormy was and how he came to be. As the story progresses, we get closer and closer to catching up time wise and I was practically beside myself. Stormy really comes a long way, I can honestly say that I have quite the soft spot for him. Cat is just perfect for him, I loved how committed they were to each other. I'm not going to say more because I highly recommend going in blind, it was an incredible, enthralling story. Ten stars for Stormy and Cat!
I didn't think Manda's book could get any better but boy was I so very wrong. I loved Stormy and Cat so much it was good to see how he changed from being so angry to being so calm and friendly, I am not sure wether friendly actually described him but it is near enough. When he goes off as a nomad it was the last thing that I thought would happen and it was interesting to see how Drummer would react when they came face to face, after all he did kill two that he shouldn't have done
This is Stormy’s story, he has messed up again, he left his brothers in a fit of rage and did the unspeakable, he left his cut behind, he just got on his bike and rode away, but when he wakes up the next morning and his head has cleared up some, he decides if he wants to return to his brothers and be accepted back into the fold, he has to for one, take the beatdown, for two, repeat his prospect days for six months, but he also has to bring something back with him, so he decides to tie up the last loose end in a recent rescue and find the woman who booked the AirBNB where the woman was held. That decided, he goes to get some food in a local diner and starts digging, setting up his newly bought laptop and burner phone, he finds the information he needs and sets off on another long ride.
As he is riding, he thinks about his past and how every time he thinks he has got his life sorted out, he messes up and loses everything he has worked for, he thinks about his childhood, how he worked to leave that behind and when he achieved the career he had always dreamed of, he disobeyed someone, someone else got hurt and he took the blame and was kicked out. Then he thought about how he had found another place with the Satan’s Devils MC, but again, going his own way and doing things he wanted to do led to him being punished again and he ran away. He is in a destructive cycle and he can't see a way out, unless he can tie off this loose end and take the information back to the Club.
Apart from one stop for fuel for both him and the bike, he arrives at the home of the woman in question, it is late at night and it looks like she is in bed, but when he bangs on the door and rings the doorbell and doesn’t get an answer, he looks through the windows on the ground floor and it looks like nobody is home after all. He decides to go inside and take a look around to see if there has been a home invasion and to see if she is indeed in the house or not, but what he finds when he enters the basement is what appears to be a pile of dirty clothes and a wig that looks worse for wear, however, when he realises it is the woman he has come to find, he wastes no time freeing her from her bonds, he doesn’t want the authorities involved, so he can warm her up and look after her, albeit with the ulterior motive of questioning her. When she begins to regain consciousness and answers his questions, he realises that she isn’t connected to the crime in the way he thought, but he decides to stay for a while and look after her anyway.
As the time passes, the two grow closer and a fall into a comfortable routine until a ghost from Stormy’s past come back to haunt him and that ghost has unfinished business, as he is tortured to the point of being half dead, the worst thing that could happen does, she is taken from him, but when he finally escapes, the first thing he does is return to the club he once called home, but with his injuries, will he be able to to get there in time to save his woman, or will he succumb to them and lose her forever? This is a story of troubled pasts and uncertain futures, but the action will keep you hooked as you read through to the end.
I am a big fan of Manda Mellett’s ‘Satan’s Devils MC’ series and I always look forward to the next book coming out and I was not disappointed by ‘Stormy’s Thunder’. We are back with the Satan’s Devils MC, Utah Chapter and this story focuses on Stormy. In the first book in the series ‘Road Tripped’ Stormy had walked away from his Club and his brothers and this storyline continues with him being haunted by his past mistakes. Stormy jumps at the chance to become a new man when he gets the opportunity but before long his past catches up with him and his life is in danger. He has to stay alive as he needs to protect the woman he loves in order to save her life too. As usual this is a fast paced story with a plot full of action, drama and great characters but there is also a romance element with Stormy meeting Cat. I loved Stormy and Cat and how their relationship developed throughout the novel. I also enjoyed both catching up with, and meeting new members of the MC. As usual Mellett’s writing style had me hooked from page one and the story being told by different point of views, Stormy, Cat and Swift’s works really well. The characters and the setting really come alive through the descriptive narrative making me feel both engaged and immersed in the story. This was an enjoyable and exciting read and I will now be waiting impatiently for the next book in the series.
Stormy’s Thunder (Satan’s Devils MC Utah #2) by Manda Mellett
5 ++++++ Stars
This author has done it again, and even more so for me. I absolutely do not like a flashback story and when this gave me the first one all I could think of was there is finally a book in all of this authors series I’m not going to be fond of. Well, that lasted about a minute and I realized I needed all those flashbacks to get past how I felt about Stormy in the first Utah book and getting his background was crucial for my understanding. My emotions were a complete mess through this whole book!!
Swift playing the part she did in this book was brilliant, and my favorite all time in this whole combination of series, Drummer was as Drummer always is, amazing!
I knew there had to be more to Stormy, I just wasn’t sure there was a way to get past my dislike of him, well I did...and it all started with a huge bang. I’m not giving away any of this storyline, I will say the first Utah chapter book really needs to be read before this one, I actually think every book in every series that involves the Satan’s Devils needs to be read to get the whole impact of each of these stories.
I loved this book, I love this author and I love that no matter how many books she writes involving these people I just can't get enough and as always can’t wait for the next!!
Stormy’s Thunder by Manda Mellett is part of the Satan’s Devils MC Utah Chapter. If this whole series isn’t something you are familiar with then I would highly recommend you rectify that immediately. This is easily one of the best series I have ever read and this book has firmly placed itself within the top, if not at the top. I always wonder how the author is going to top what she has already done – since it has been so outstanding up to this point – and yet with this book she has proved just how good she really is. I was absolutely riveted by Stormy and his character. He is one of those characters that has so much more to him than you would initially think. He is a character that you will be familiar with if you have read the rest in the series and he is a character that you really don’t think you will like at all. However the author has done an incredible job of not only making him likeable but making it so you completely fall in love with him. As with the rest of the books this one is so well written – it is fast paced and action packed but is also full of all the little details that make it so good. I cannot wait to see what else this author has in store for us and in the meantime I might just have to go back and read all the previous books again!
After reading Road Tripped, I was intrigued as to what Stormy’s backstory was and what drove him to make the decisions he made. The second book in the Utah Chapter of Manda Mellett’s Satan’s Devils MC series, Stormy’s Thunder, promised to tell me more about this complex and mysterious character. Stormy’s Thunder deviates from the format of the majority of the Satan’s Devils books as much of the story – whole chapters, even – is told through flashbacks. This is very effective. The present day sections of the story set out questions that are answered in the past, only to raise more questions that take us elsewhere in Stormy’s story. Although many of the Satan’s Devils books work fine as standalones I would really recommend reading Road Tripped before Stormy’s Thunder. The stories are closely linked, with Stormy’s Thunder including retellings of some of the events of the previous book from different perspectives, and Road Tripped is a good introduction to the Utah Chapter. For me, this is a five-star book. This series… honestly I have very little interest in romance and motorcycles but these books are so well written and the stories are always such page-turners, I’m hooked. A joy to read!
As I have mentioned in previous reviews for Manda Mellett's books, I have loved the entire Satan's Devils series. That being said, I was not a big fan of Stormy going into this book because he just walked out on the MC in a previous book. So...it was going to take some work to get me back on his side...but Manda Mellett did that and more!
Stormy turned his back on his MC...and when he shows back up on their doorstep, there are unanswered questions about where he has been and whether they should allow him inside or not. This story takes us back in time to find out Stormy's history and how he has ended up in his current predicament. As I learned more about his past, I found that he has overcome a lot and I found myself rooting for him and his success as the book went on. Add Cat into the mix and I was definitely hooked. They are definitely made for each other.
This is another great addition to the Satan's Devils world and, once again, I am in love with the words that Manda Mellett has put on every page. I have read every one of the books in the series and will continue to do so!
Holy cow what a ride Stormy's story took me on. For some reason I knew there was more to Stormy than meets the eye and boy did his story prove me right. Stormy is so lost and lashes out at everyone since he does know who he can trust anymore and instead of turning to his brother's he does the only thing he feels he can do and that's leave. Cat is a woman who has lost a lot and feels she may never find someone who will truly care for her and love her. When the two of them meet he saved her life and try as he might be can't walk away from her. During their journey they are faced with several issues and circumstances that tests their love for each other. Their strength and determination to get through everything and it's amazing to see it all play out. I've always loved Drummer and boy when he made the announcement about Stormy I was screaming for not and wanted to kiss that man. I'm so happy Stormy found his place with the club, with a strong women by his side and I can't wait to see more of them in the future.
Manda, Manda, Manda! You never cease to impress! I have loved Manda's work since i picked up the first book i read of hers! This go around, We meet stormy, a man who earned his name honestly and definitely upholds it. I have been with this series all the way back to book one, and not once has Manda let me down. This book, like all of her other work, is just phenomenal. She will capture and hold your attention from start to finish, with a perfectly paced story thats full to the brim with her talent, so much so it will literally suck you in, immersing you completely in the world she's created. Having met Stormy previously, i wasn't too keen on him as i began reading this book, but slowly but surely, Stormy himself, and, of course, Manda changed my mind. I had never once read a MC book before i picked up the box set from the very, and i mean very, talented Manda Mellet. Suffice to say, i've read every book of Manda's i could get my hands on since! I definitely reccomend this book, as well as the rest of Manda's work!
Stormy's Thunder (Satan's Devils MC Utah #2) by Manda Mellett
5 out of 5 stars
I have read quite a few books written by Ms. Mellett and I think Stormy is my favorite out of all her Satan Devils MC. The characters are amazing and I love the way they play off from each other and their quirks.
Stormy is a tough cookie to crack. He has had a tuff life growing up with physical and emotional abuse from his father. Then at eighteen he has big decisions to make and after one mistake he loses everything he doesn’t know what to do with himself then comes Satan Devils he has finally found his place but, can he hold it or will he screw up again.
We saw in Roads book that Stormy wasn’t a team player and he brought the mother chapter to Utah and there are repercussions. Stormy leaves but where does he go? With Stormy gone know one knows if he is alive or dead will he come back or is he gone for good? You really need to read this book to find out what is ticking in Stormy’s head/heart…...
Ms. Mellett did an awesome job writing about Stormy and I can’t wait to see what she has in-stored for us….
