My high school bullies weren’t supposed to worm their way into my bed. I never expected this to be something that developed past the angry looks I’d given them growing up. I wasn’t ever supposed to be between Austin, Gavin, and Vaughn. But somehow that’s the way it ended up. Before I knew it was a new normal that I couldn’t really complain about, aside from demanding encounters with Vaughn.

I was finding a good balance between two of the three men that had taken up residency in my life, and other places. It was all going good until Austin’s past decided to rear its polished, well manicured head. What am I supposed to do when this girl comes in the front door claiming to be his girlfriend?

What did I just read? The first book was good and this one, is just... not so much. There are so many areas where the book just drags and I was skimming to get to more interesting parts. The use of incorrect words during the steamy scenes rather killed those for me. Lathe should be lave and seethe should be sheathe because otherwise we have woodworking tools and boiling d*cks or maybe it’s the vajayjay that’s this way? 🤔

Also, the shear amount of wishy-washiness and angst that seems to be on almost every page that isn’t steamy, comes across as over the top. I get lack of self confidence. I get not knowing if an unconventional relationship will work. I get all of the uncertainties and jealousies that are presented. It’s the way they’re presented that rubbed me wrong.

By the time I got to the end, even though I still liked Austin and Gavin for the most part, I still didn’t care for Vaughn much and the overall relationship between these four is just... painfully awkward and uncomfortable. Especially when they’re attempting to communicate.

For a book called Austin, he really isn't in this one that much. The first book was kind of bad but the plot was sort of intriguing enough to keep me going. This book was just straight up bad. I understand that there are two more books so there's not need to fully tie up loose ends but I feel like some things are just Too Loose.

Firstly, these characters are so fucking bland. Like honestly, not a single one has a personality worth noting. I don't know if maybe I'm expecting too much from this book but also for something that is erotica (maybe idk), I feel like there isn't THAT much sex? In a nearly 300 page book there were I think four sex scenes so I feel like the plot and characters should be giving more than they are. It's like the author tried but everything just fell flat.

They talk about the bar for the first third of the book but then just forget it exists which in ways is understandable but also so strange.

Now for the big question... will I continue this series???? Honestly, probably lol. It's such a quick read and I actually like Gavin (he has the most personality of the four of them).

This is the second book in the series and where we learn more about Austin. Nadia and her men were starting to settle in together when until Austin’s past decided to show up at their door. Fast-paced read with great characters, plenty of depth and loads of steam. I liked it.

Austin was the first

Nadia fell in love with Austin first because he was genuine and he had loved her from high school. In book 2 Alyssa delves into the fabric that makes him tick. Austin's grandmother took Austin and his older sister in. Grandma didn't particularly want Kirstin and Austin to live with her and she made sure the children understood. The kids never knew their father's name and their mother took off when they were young to never return. Kirstin enlisted in the Navy as soon as she graduated. Austin and Gavin turned toward sports, mainly football. They both played college and were each drafted by NFL teams. The pros weren't kind to either. Both turned back to their roots and friends but were still lost until Nadia brought them together. Just as the three were getting their happy together, in walks the problem which many pro players face, A conniving woman with money on her mind. A trap, sure it was and is a baby. Was Lauren a nice person? Not a chance. She beat the snot out of a professional lineman for a NFL team. Think about it. Who's going to believe a 250 lb, 6' 4" man can't defend himself against 5' 5" 120. lb woman? As soon as he would try, she would yell assault. She already tanked his career with the pros unintentionally. So now we have an abusive grandmother. Kirstin turned into an abusive sister from the time they were smaller, she was hitting and degrading him. So when Kirstin walked into his life, he was a target for another abusive female in his life. The reason I gave four instead of five stars was because the author made Austin's character over the top trying to make him fit into a roll of an abusive female. Although very similar in both cases, it was a study on male abuse a little too much for me. This was a very good story with the other characters trying to understand how they, Nadia, Gavin and Vaughn, can support but still keep their RH relationship intact. Thank you Alyssa for another good book in this series.

Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some "oh no" "oh wow" " what the what" moments and add in uncanny mishaps, and shenanigans the good kind that makes you keep turning the pages till last page has been turned. Enemies to lovers (yep with an s) story the four of them met in high school and they were her tormentors. High school reunion brings them all back together full circle Gavin, Vaughn and Austin all bullied Naida in high school and her best friend makes her go to the reunion and we know it is a hot mess when the three of them see her and all want her but let’s back up just a little, they all wanted her in high school but where dumb jock jerks. Of course, they are still jerks who want her to forgive but not really sure how to go about getting her to forgive so they do the jerk thing and start stalking her sort of and she does forgive them and learn that Gavin and Austin isn’t so bad although the jury is still out on Vaughn needless to Austin’s past ghost comes back for him in the form of his ex-girlfriend an abuser with his son and the fight begins when she shows up wanting claiming to still be his boyfriend but oh this is where it gets really interesting and throw in a little innocent baby boy and you have a hot mess that needs solving but emotional bonds weren’t on the menu, and attachments certainly weren’t supposed to form. But when love rears its beautiful head and throws yet another wrench into the works well Austin’s is what you get but will it end here?

Good book

This book shows how a guy who was mentally, emotionally and even physically abused by his ex deals with her return to his life when she tells him he has a son. But she doesn't tell him until a year has gone by. In the previous book he reveals that when she demanded he marry her he decides that he can't deal with her abuse any more but she doesn't take it well and he ends up in handcuffs and his position as an NFL player is done. So he goes home. And a year later at their 10 year high school reunion he reconnects with his two best friends whose NFL careers have also ended and the girl that he has been in love with since they first met. The only obstacle is that the three of them picked on her all four years of high school. Austin apologizes to Nadia for the way he treated her and they start getting close. But Gavin also has feelings for Nadia wants to be involved and then he gets Vaughn involved as well. And they are all supportive of Austin while he deals with his ex Lauren and the possible child.
This is the second book going more in to detail of the abuse and her claim of a child. They wait for the paternity test and when Austin's sister comes to town things get strained. When Nadia whispers to Austin that she loves him it creates stress between them all. So now they are having to deal with emotional stuff as well as dealing with the possible custody of a 5 month old baby. Great storyline and amazing characters.

I swallowed this book whole, yet there were a few moments it didn't go down the right way. It feels like the dynamic amongst the 4 is constantly challenged, and not really as genuine as it should be for poly. It could just be in how cavalier Gavin and Vaughn come across about Nadia. It is difficult to tell they have feelings underneath the bravado. (Although Nadia spanking Gavin was a nice bit of heat) Nadia isn't helping much by spiraling to all the worst case scenarios and how much she doesn't believe in what is taking place in the alleged relationship.
Pretty much everyone is butt hurt by the end of this and it doesn't really seem like this is a forever situation even though Vaughn and Gavin have now asked where do they fit in since the "L" word was mentioned to only one of the guys. Throwing in the newest wrench - Landon, there is going to be more strain on this already strained quad and money matters to 3 of the 4.
There was no further mention of the new bar/grill outside of the initial chapters so add that burden as well. So much is destined to go wrong here that I am cheering as loudly as I can for the underdogs, but there is a long road ahead of them. Next step - meet the parents...

Loved The Book

Honestly I love the build up in all of their relationships and everything about this.
The only reason why one star is down is because I was OK with the ex girlfriend trying to come back into the lives I wasn’t okay with a baby being thrown into the book, to me it kind of taints it some which sucks.
I don’t like children and I don’t really care for books that have kids in it. If I do choose to read those kind of books it’s because I go in it knowing that there is a kid involved. I kind of wish there was a spoiler for it in the paragraph so I could’ve chosen whether or not to continue the series. I was really hoping that the ex girlfriend cheated on him and the baby wasn’t theirs and it was just a scare.
Still it was a good book though the Main Character is talking how she wishes she’s spent some more one on one bonding time with the men (non sexually involved) and was kind of hoping we got to see that blossom some as they know each other on a more personal level besides sex.
We will see in the next book!

We get drawn further into Nadia’s relationship with her three men, concentrating chiefly on Austin. What I really liked is how Alyssa Clark tackled a subject that is often overlooked. I won’t say what it is because it’s a little spoilery. Austin has a little more to deal with here than just sharing Nadia with his two besties. This part of the book was conveyed in a sensitive way and I appreciated it.
What I still find a little awkward are the group scenes. There seems to be a lot of talking and at times they seem at odds with each other. Where it was one-on-one with Nadia it was spontaneous, so seemed more authentic.
I think the main issue which was addressed more here is the fact the four of them haven’t sat down and discussed issues any of them may have. It’s good to see that people are opening up more though. The next two books will deal with this more I’m sure.
My fav after Reunion was Vaughn. Here it shifted to Gavin, which works well because it’s my next read.

I liked this book all the way until the very end! It continues the story of Nadia and her 3 men. While the title of the book is "Austin" the majority of the POVs are between Nadia and Gavin. I liked Austin in book 1 and this book made you feel horrible for him! I wish he had a better story and didn't get screwed so terribly. The smut in this story continues to be spicy with both one on one and group scenes.

SPOILER PAST THIS POINT:

The one reason I didn't like this book is the surprise baby trope. It usually qualifies as my do not read. I also feel like it doesn't really fit with the storyline and how they are all still going to be together but now Austin has a baby. I would of enjoyed it more if the ex girlfriends character just stayed being abusive and crazy and was just trying to get Austin back under her thumb by lying about having a baby.

Was hoping book 2 would be a bit better than the last book but I was sadly disappointed. I wanted to like Nadia but I just couldn’t stand her personality. It’s like she didn’t want to be in this relationship. She never really put in any effort at all. Very wishy washy.

I loved the fact that we were shown how Austin stepped up to be a single dad but why did the author have to write him as such a Simp? You have this big football player and he is cringing because a woman he hadn’t seen in almost a year is trying to contact him. Yes, Laura was definitely a crazy bitch but seriously…man the eff up! He just hid behind Vaughn and let him take control of the situation. I’m not saying that because he was in an abusive relationship he was weak. I’m saying that he is away from the situation and he still doesn’t have his balls. But I did love the sweet spot they all had for little Landon.

This is book 2 in Nadia's boy's series and picks up where Reunion left off. Austin finds himself in a precarious situation and shell shocked by everything that is happening. Gavin, Vaughn and Nadia are there to pick up the pieces and help him move forward. Meanwhile Nadia is trying to figure out if this is just a casual relationship between the four of them or if it moving into something more serious. She is still wary of Vaughn and his intentions and is the source of her hesitation. There is plenty of steam in this book with both one on one and group situations. I'm interested in finding out where this group dynamic is headed.

The next phase in their relationship....discovering their new normal and then some

*** 4 1/2 Stars ***

I have read two other books by Alyssa Clark before I picked up Austin. This is the second book in the Nadia's Boys series and I am just going to say that you have to read the first book, Reunion, prior to this book otherwise you are dropped into an already happening story-line. This is a RH story told by different characters, Nadia, Austin, Gavin and Vaughn but with some twists along the way. This part has some emotional components to the new foursome's story as they deal with their feelings and also a few twists are thrown at them along the way. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, Gavin.

There seemed to be progression with the couples, but not a lot happening. Austin's crazy ex came back into the picture. It was great how the author shed light on men being domestic abuse victims. And the way they are completely ignored by law enforcement. Loved the lawyer that Vaughn suggested to Austin for everything regarding his baby. It was a crazy thing to add to the already complicated relationship. So far, it seems Nadia and the other guys are all in. I have a feeling things will come to a head as things progress. Loved the book for shedding light on the fact men can be victims as well! It's not done often at all. I hope to see more of Austin coming into his own and moving on in the coming books.

Rating: 3.5/5
Plot: 3/5
Spice: 3.5-4/5
Character Development: 3.5/5

"Austin" is the second book in the Reunion (Nadia's Boys) series by Alyssa Clark. This book continues to dive into the relationship between Nadia, Austin, Gavin, and Vaughn.

I appreciate how the second book includes Vaughn more because the first book did not, however, I had high hopes for this book because Austin was my favourite, but the author did him dirty with his plot. I didn't enjoy how his story played out and I wasn't as content with the ending as I was hoping for.

I look forward to reading the third book, "Gavin" because he is so funny and my next favorite from the boys.

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. Nadia has gone to her ten years school reunion and her bullies turn up aswell Vaughan, Austin, Gavin, were bullies to Nadia, Vaughan he is dominant, arrogant and does not want Nadia to run from him. After years of distance can they finally have a relationship. With twist and turns, will it goes the way Vaughan wants or will leave it as is.

This is the second book in the series, and it is just wonderful. The relationship is evolving, Gavin, Vaughn, and Nadia are trying to help Austin. There is an ex and baby to complicate things. The characters are well written and likable and their interaction is believable. I love the story plot and the way everything is just coming together. I cannot wait for the next installment. This is a great story.

Book 2 in the Series carries on with the amazing character development and give us even more depth to the storyline/plot.

Not only do we have spice but also a great storyline following the formation of this polyamorous relationship. In this book we get a more in depth look
At Austin and discover he has a child he didn’t know about. This adds extra strain to the newly formed relationship. As well as Nadia only dropping the “love” word on one of the guys - it makes for some drama.

Looking forward to reading the next book and seeing how things evolve from here.

Ughhh my heart is breaking and melting for Austin. That poor guy :( I like the group scenes. I wish Nadia was more kinky. Nadia and Vaughan sort of talked things out but it doesn’t seem like much is changing. I think Vaughan needs to make more of an effort. I wish date nights were mentioned it doesn’t seem like they have much of a relationship aside from sex and Austin’s problems. The bar that the guys are opening kind of disappeared in this book?? I don’t understand all of the mentions about Nadia’s schedule being full she works a normal 40 hour week.

I give is book a 2,5/ 3 ⭐

There were times when I enjoyed reading this book, but there were also time that I had a hard time to keep on reading.. I felt that when they had a confliction, it was rushed and not entirely done.
There is a sory line, but in a way it felt rushed and sometimes confusing. It was from one scene to a different one, it didn't alway felt like there was a flow.
The smut scenes weren't to bad, at times I missed more information, about these scenes as well.

Other then that it was an oke read.

Nadia had started seeing the three guys after the reunion. When coming home from work she was met by a strange lady pounding on the door to Austin' s house. They learned Austin was a father. All of them had to work out how to provide in their relationship. I think this is a good story about Austin and his relationship with Nadia, Gavin and Vaughn.

I was really looking forward to reading the next story in this series. Poor Austin has to face his past demons. Even with a life alternating addition, Austin’s life is thrown for a loop. Thank goodness he has Nadia, Vaughn and Gavin go help him through this. I was really happy with the story and can’t wait to see who the next story is about.

I rate this book 4.5 stars.

Talk about a book with twists! This story was just full of surprises, and you wonder what is going to happen next and whether their relationships survive. The chemistry between Nadia, Vaughn, Gavin and Austin are super steamy hot enough to melt your panties off! I thought this book was so entertaining and enjoyable to read.

I’m going to start by saying the only reason I agreed to reading the next segment of this story was because I liked Austin’s character from the first one. He appeared to be understanding and compassionate towards Nadia, even when they were in school together and even more so at the reunion. And the unexpected twist killed me, leaving my mind completely blown away. Was definitely a more interesting story than the first one!

Alyssa did a good job with book 2. Austin picks up where Reunion left off. This book offers drama, steam, and a lot of feeling. As the story goes on, you can’t help but feel for Austin, and fall even more in love with Nadia, Austin, Vaughn and Gavin. Absolutely love all 4 of these characters. I can’t wait for book 3!!

Austin is book two of the series and in this book we learn more about Nadia and the guys. Just as they were getting settled someone from Austin's past shows up with a surprise. This is a fast paced story about high school bullies falling for the one they bullied. The storyline is unique and the chemistry between the four is hot. The characters are likable and the story is packed with drama, steam, twists and so much more. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Good Book

I’m enjoying this storyline but didn’t realise Gavin’s book isn’t out until July 😩
I have to admit Nadia did annoy me more in this book with her back and forth so much indecision.
However I love Austin so much and just wanted to hold him and never let him go after we see what Lauren did to him 🥲
I actually like Vaughn and think she is being a bit harsh on him, just because he doesn’t show his feelings like the others doesn’t mean he isn’t feeling anything.

Picking up where Reunion left off the drama continues. Nadia, Austin, Gavin and Vaughn are still enduring growing pains of their relationship. Each of them are dealing with issues that challenge the collective. Austin having had his world flipped upside down, dealing with a myriad of emotions and self doubt. Nadia, Gavin and Vaughn continue to support him through the shifting dynamics of the group. I look forward to what happens next.
