First Lieutenant Nathan Trenton traveled home to be best man in Sean’s wedding, really grateful for the break from being overseas for months. He also needed a break from Alex Howly who was in competition with him for the same promotion. The two of them despised each other and she gave him a headache!

What Nathan didn’t know is that Alex was coming to visit her Aunt Esme who just happened to live near his family! So when his parents picked him up at the airport, they had a surprise visitor who would be riding home with them, Mrs. Trowner’s niece – as Alex walked up to the car! As they both exchanged tightly bridled hostility, Nathan’s mom offered Nathan’s services to show Alex around all the nice spots in town! And because Alex enjoyed the misery on his face, she happily accepted the offer! They sat next to each other in the back seat while his mom caught him up on all that had been going on while he was away. Alex watched his laughter and their banter, and realized he was a very different person away from the military. His dad, a retired colonel, was warm and caring, and they were not at all like the third-generation family of soldiers she would have expected. And as she felt the love of Nathan’s mom and her Aunt Esme, she felt like she was at last home.

Alex finally decided to propose a short-term holiday fling. They had already begun to relax around each other, seeing how different they were here. The chemistry between them was amazing as they got to know more about each other. But real emotions were not part of the agreement! What has changed here? And can they change it back before it gets… serious? But it feels like maybe their hearts have other plans?

Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some "oh no" "oh wow" " what the what" moments and add in uncanny mishaps, and shenanigans the good kind that makes you keep turning the pages till last page has been turned. I love when you throw in mom’s, grandma’s, and aunts into the mix because boy do, we get a boat load of shenanigans and this one is no different his mom and her aunt = laughs and setups. Nathan is happy to be home for a little relaxing and away from work, promotions, and Alex. Until he arrives only to realize she is from the same place and headed to visit her aunt and his mother offer to take her to her aunts meaning he can’t get away from her no matter how hard he tries. Needless to say, his mom offers his services to take her around to show her the sights and she enjoys it because it is causing him so much frustration but in doing so they learn a lot about each other and realize they are better together then fighting one another. Alex wants what his family has closeness, love, understanding and appreciation for one another, she also learns he isn’t as hard as he seems once she really gives him a chance. But is it enough for these two put aside their difference and find happiness with the help a few older ones from another generation?

💣💣ONE EXPLOSIVE JOURNEY💣💣
Scorching skivvies! Alexis has outdone herself with this titillating wonder, dealing with the busy bodies, nosey neighbors and buttinsky matchmakers, hooking you up front and holding steady until the end, launching this jewel to staggering heights. Mishaps and serendipity descend in a flurry of heart pounding maneuvers and clever observations, cracked perimeters and obscured barriers solidify as limitations are amplified and enforced, secrets confessed, revelations unmasked and promises made, exhibiting the fierce quirks and defying bents, blasting this baby to life brilliantly. The attraction and chemistry ignites with such intoxicating intensity and boundless emotions, showcases the thrilling electricity and infinite affection, drawing our characters closer, binding them to one another perfectly. The characters are complex, genuine and realistic with traits and qualities that balance and blend, adding amazing depth and diversity and enough spice to for one explosive ride. Throw in 100% on point realism, raising the stakes with such graphic scenarios that are so colorfully descriptive and vividly detailed its like you're living it with them instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. Incredible job Alexis, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.

I received a free ARC copy in exchange for my honest review. This is my own opinion and was not influenced by anyone.

Nathan is book four in the the Trenton Family Heroes series. Nathan is home for his brother Sean's wedding. His nemesis Alex is also in the small town. She is the niece of an older woman Nathan helped whenever he was in town.

Nathan is much like his brothers proud of serving, tightly bonded to his family and raised to be quite the gentleman. Alex lost her parents to violence. On the base she needs to portray an ice queen for the men to take her seriously.

Nathan has perfected the non committal date so Alex doesn't feel threatened. His actions make it very easy to fall for him. It is easy to understand why Alex felt she had to portray herself as something she is not and it is great when she lets down her guard around Nathan.

This latest Trenton brother is artistic like his mom. As he is giving Alex the tour of the town, the places he chooses along with his description of them reveal his soul.

Nathan is a quick read standalone with happy ending. Alexis Ashlie also gives us a lead in to Corey, the next in the series. I think Nathan has become my favorite brother.

Number four in the series of the Trenton brothers is Nathan. Nathan is in the Marines and returns home to be Sean's best man for his wedding. When he arrives at the airport his mother informs him they are waiting for someone else. When he sees it is Alex another Marine he is not happy. They are both vying for the same job. Alex is there to see her aunt that lives in the same town as the Trenton's. Nathan thinks of Alex as the Ice Queen. During the stay in town Alex and Nathan get to know each other and decide they will have an affair while they are on vacation but as soon as they are back they will go back to how it was. While having this affair they both start to have feelings for one another. Alex confesses her love for Alex but he does not reciprocate it at that time. As time goes Nathan lets Alex know that he is in love with her also and wants to have a life with her. Will these two end up together?

This i the fourth book about the Trenton boys all sons who have followed the family tradition of been in the military but who all are also finding the woman for them when they return to their home town on leave This is Nathan's story

First Lieutenant Nathan Trenton and Alex Howly are both up fr the same promotion and the competition between them has been fierce to say the least So when his brother is getting married Nathan looks as it as a wonderful chance to escape Alex. Imagine his horror when he discovers she is also in town in fact his parents are ppicking her up from the airport when they collect him and to make matters even worse his mothers offers his services as a tour guide and Alex knowing it would annoy him accepts. As they spend more time together they realise there is a spark and they decide to have a on leave fling together but s they spend so much time together they realise a fling may not be long enough and they may be made for one another, Can they have a future together You will have to read to see

I love these brothers. Nathan is in the service and he is not thrilled to be working near Alex. After arriving home for Seans wedding, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Able to relax until his mom says they are waiting for someone. When his mom says "Hi Alex!" He freezes when he sees his arch nemesis , Alex. He can't believe his eyes. He is going to ignore her I told his mom suggests he take her around and see their town.
Alex is shocked to see Nathan when she gets off the plane. Tension is strong but they explain that they really didn't despise each ojer. So once they clear the air things go really well. She confesses her love to him but he doesn't respond he does o to her house later and explains how he loves her and wants to send the rest of his life with her and she agrees.
Now into Corey and his love story.

NATHAN is the fourth story in Alexis Ashlie’s Trenton Family Heroes and in essence an enemies to lovers tale. Nathan heads home for the holidays and is blindsided when the extra person his parents are waiting to collect at the airport is his nemesis, and all-round thorn in his side, Alex. Visiting her aunt after many years of avoidance, Alex is unprepared for the instant love she feels for this quaint town and its residents, and the overwhelming attraction to the bane of her existence. A peek at what life with the Trentons entails, only makes Alex realise that her life has been lacking the one thing she craves the most, family. A wonderful addition to the series and an interesting insight into the mindset of women in the military.

I received this ARC for a review. I really enjoyed this one. Nathan was just so charming and Alex was so "alone". They made a perfect couple.

Nathan and Alex are in the Marines. Both coming home for Christmas they did not realize they would be seeing each other. Both of them hate each other's guts or are annoyed by the other. Nathan did not realize that Alex was Ms. Trowner's niece. He has a very tight relationship with Ms. Trowner. Seeing Nathan in his natural environment makes Alex soften up and start to really see Nathan and fall for him. Once Nathan sees the less Ice Queenish Alex, he can finally see what's underneath the ice. They agree to an "affair" just for the holiday. However their hearts have other plans.

HEA guaranteed! I recommended.

Uncovering Their True Feelings -
Nathan and Alex were colleagues who were competing for the same job, which put them at loggerheads. However, as luck would have it, they ended up in the same town and soon find out after spending time together, that all the combative banter between them was unwarranted.

This book was a true pleasure to read with all the sizzling attraction, engaging banter, insecurities, heated sexual encounters and final revelation of their feelings. If you want a book to make you feel good, then I suggest you read this book. After reading the except of the next book in the series, I am really looking forward to reading Corey’s story.

And so the fourth brother falls. This was a great read in the continuation of the Trenton family. The relationship between the characters was rocky based on mislead views. It was read watching the female character’s growth over the course of the story and seeing her view of Nathan change. Nathan was really a gentleman when it came to the female character and it was as if he didn’t have a cocky or jerk bone in his body. I admired his character.

I give this a four out of five stars. The plot was great and the characters really made the story wonderful.

Nathan and Alex appear to hate each other which it turns out is mainly as neither have gotten to know each other, however that's about to change due to Alex's Aunt being from the same small town as where Nathan grew up and is also visiting. It was fun to see them slowly warm to each other and then not know how to deal with how they feel. You have laughter, wonderful families and an attraction that can't be denied as well as the hope they can see they are the perfect match and that their short term romp turns into a long term love affaire.

This is Book 4 in the Trenton family series. This series keeps getting better and it is so refreshing. This series lets you see a side of the characters where family is important. This is a fast paced, quick read filled with love, family, and friends. Alex and Nathan are both in the Marines and Alex has to work twice as hard to prove herself in a man’s world. They are acquaintances through the Marines but Nathan believes Alex hates him. This book is impossible to put it down.

Nathan is going back home to Charleston. When he gets off the plane, his parents are there to pick him and Alex up. Alex is Nathan's family friend, Aunt Esme, niece. Alex and Nathan constantly battle each other on the base. Alex believes that she has to constantly prove herself. She also prejudged Nathan before getting to know him. The chemistry between them is explosive. The story is a short, sweet read. Plus you get a tour of Charleston.

Fantastic short read about enemies to lovers Alex and Nathan. Nathan and Alex are stationed at the same military base and they are sworn enemies. When Alex expectantly shows up in his hometown to visit her aunt and Nathan' mom volunteers him to show her around, emotions and feelings get involved. I loved the family dynamic of the Trenton's and the love laughter and bantering that goes with it. Great Read - Highly recommended

Another brother comes home for the holidays along with another marine he didn't know was on the plane. His parents show up to pick him up, but surprise, there to pick up the female marine as well, cause her aunt lives in the same town. These two have been having issues over wanting the same job. This should be interesting. HEA. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Alex and Nathan were competing for the same job in the Marines and they thought that they hated the other person. Nathan went home to be best man in his brothers wedding and Alex went to see her aunt that she hasn’t seen in forever. She suggested that they have a holiday fling but it was much more! Great book now waiting for Corey’s story!

Nathan & Alex
I liked this one, because I could identify with the heroine and her loss at such a young age. The emotions she struggled with, the anger she harbored. I love that the hero was patient and understanding.
