Alex Cole will do anything for money. Murder? Check. Assault? Check. Infanticide? Check. Sexual favours? Double-check. But after getting himself roped into something called Kuman Thong—including its roasted human foetuses—Cole is left fighting unfathomable phenomena beyond his comprehension, and rather unexpectedly trying save the world.
All for a lousy pay cheque.
Full of evisceration, morgues, interdimensional deities, and prostitution, Alex Cole is part private detective, part mercenary … all sick f*ck. Cole Investigations is open for business.
Sick F*ck is an extreme horror novella, painted with the blackest of humour. Consider this a trigger warning for just about everything.
This story is brutal but also funny. I have heard of characters in stories being morally grey, enter our main character, Alex Cole, a regular run of the mill fixer. Except he's above and beyond concepts like morals or color.
His morality is non-existent (at the end point of a singularity!) and we follow his exploits (as he inevitably bites off more'n he can finally chew) through some of the most gruesome, vile and disturbing scenes I've ever had the misfortune to imagine.
Having the gall alone to write the first couple chapters of this book deserves some mention of Mr. Ericmore in some perverted writer's Hall of Fame for sheer psychopathic imaginings. I'll certainly be eager to continue with the series.
Well hell, this was fun!! Totally sick and f*cked up but had some humour also. This was my first outing with AE but I’m sure it won’t be my last! Not for everyone though, so take heed of the title, because that is exactly what you’re gonna get!!
Definitely...Definitely not for most people. It's as sick and depraved as you can imagine with a title like that. Maybe I've been a bit spoiled with 4-5 star books recently... This one didn't really hit the home run for me. It was good, just... not amazing. I can't talk about anything in the book really, as I'll probably end up on some kind of list somewhere. The humour kind of works, I just felt like the book was trying a little too hard to be a black comedy. It was funny in some parts, though... depending on what you class as comedy, your mileage will vary. I guess I was in the wrong mood at the time of reading.
Would I recommend it? Sure - To the die-hards among the community. Anyone who needs trigger warnings for anything should probably take a VERY hard pass.
This kind of extreme horror is not for everyone, and if you have any kind trigger warnings, this may not be for you. But if your into disturbing, gruesome, effed up horror then look no further, this one is right up your alley. The main character is truly and most definitely a sick f**k.
This started off strong, the first scene was horrific and everything a sicko horror fan loves. The story line of a “investigator” turned murderer who cleans up other people’s problems was really good and had so much promise and then in the middle, out of nowhere came a job involving deities and inter dimensional beings and I was lost. Sorry I like my horror to be sickening and horrifying and gruesome. I want to feel shocked and push my boundaries but to do this it needs to feel real and make me question humanity. The story went unrealistic and went from a potential 5 to lucky to get a 3 stars. On a plus side as did learn some new thing like Kuman Thong not that it is something I wish I ever knew about.
Well the title of this book definitely hit the mark. Plenty of violence in this one and the main character is definitely a sick fuck. This is my third reading from this author and I'm not disappointed he writes some violent shit and this book is no exception. Trigger warnings aplenty in this one. If you like extreme horror check this guy out.
The title just says it all...and Ash Ericmore doesn't let you down with this depraved, disgusting, nasty, sick, perverted short read. The beginning was awesome...the middle somewhat weird...and the ending...well BRAVO is all I'm going to say!!
5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟's for Alex's Baking Skills...and for one hell of a bloody read 🤰👶
I loved it ❤️ I'm now off to read Sick F*ck,#2 Sloppy Seconds.
Dang! WTF! Some real crazy ideas here. The book starts off with some really sick ideas. Big trigger warning for those even remotely sensitive. Ash presents the reader with extreme brutal horrifying sick fuckery!
The story continues with the grossness but then takes a really hilarious turn for the best!
What's not to love extreme gore and funny! Think Evil Dead sprinkled with brutality.
“I blew my load. Set her whole body on fire. I think I saved the world too.”
Obviously this story is about a sick f*ck: Alex Cole… This sleazy, murderous, deplorable man will do anything for money.
Filled with raunchiness, horrible depravities, and a little bit of humour, this story certainly kept me captivated. I didn’t know whether to toss the book across the room or douse it in holy water at some points. It’s 100% messed up.
Well that took a strange turn lol..I loved this it made me laugh in some places and I love how brutally bloody it was..I'm definitely going to be reading more by this author
The book started off really strong and I was super into it until Alex met Donna and then the story took a weird and unexpected turn. Not bad per se but it just went in a different direction and I lost a bit of interest.
Alex Cole is a “private investigator” that specializes in very dark work. He is a desperate man controlled by greed and wealth and will do anything to make money. ANYTHING. Murder for hire? Male prostitute? Fake doctor abortionist? You betcha. A few jobs make him question his sanity but Alex Cole knows how to be a professional.
~MY THOUGHTS~
I actually really like Alex Coles character. You find out his origins and how he got in the business and after a rough start, he has a steady clientele. He is crude, insensitive and at times kinda funny. He’s also a bit sloppy with his work but so far things have worked out ok for him.
I wasn’t expecting the paranormal aspect and there are definitely triggers in this book so watch out.
I was totally on board throughout the book, I just feel like the ending was very rushed. Overall I really liked it. Very messed up. Very entertaining. This is the first book I’ve read by Ash Ericmore and I am definitely intrigued. I’ll be finishing this series and will be checking out more of his work in the future. It looks like he specializes in smaller, graphic novellas so give him a go if you’re looking for something intense and quick!
This is a staggeringly nasty book, which was obviously it's intention. The clue is kind of in the title, you know? Trigger warnings for just about everything indeed. It is actually quite well written, but it really is an 80s "video nasty" in book form. Succeeded in it's objective.
This really went from me laughing constantly, to having to skim part because I couldn't handle the gruesome acts, but then it had me back to laughing not a minute later. Like, I proper emberassed myself by bursting out in laughter on the bus. It's kind of dry and violent humour and it has me needing my inhaler from wheezing so much.
A cross between omg I am so grossed out and omg where's the second book. I love short books because I can devour a lot of them and they get me through the day quite fast. This is definitely one I will experience again but definitely not safe for work
F*cking hell! Ash Ericmore - You sick f*ck 😅 Another brilliant read as always. Definitely more messed up than I was expecting. Deliciously gory and rotten. This is an extreme horror, so expect some triggers.
WHAT THE FUCK??????? This book was unhinged in the worst way possible 😭 like wth was the mmc thinking?? “Bills to pay” AND U CHOOSE THIS AS UR WAY TO DO SO??? And why was there fucking weird ass creatures in the middle of the story?? And it wasn’t explained either and was left on a cliffhanger?? Ik it’s splatter punk but this is the first worst read of 2025💀
Well the title says it all for this read. It truly is quite sick and twisted. The character, Alex is a struggle private investigator and has come to a point where he will take on any job. Which he does much to his delight and dismay. Lots of blood and twisted scenes that anyone easily offended or weak stomached should not attempt to read. Definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys the more extreme horror.
Where have you been all my life Ash Ericmore. I've read a lot of 'horror' books and I mean A LOT ever since I was a wee boy and I'm now touching 50 but this is definitely one of the goriest, horrific, bloodiest and funniest novels I've ever read. Thank you Ash Ericmore for creating such a dark, humorous and epic blast of a story. It was so good I ended up reading it to my wife and we were both laughing till we were in tears. 10 out of 10 👍
I've heard so many of my horror friends recommending this book, so I was expecting insanity, but it fell a bit flat for me after the first half. Granted, the subject matter isn't for everyone, but I wasn't shocked or surprised by the gore.
