The Aspen Experiments

Rate this book
When Dara's application to an elite boarding school is unexpectedly accepted, she jumps at the chance for independence. Her parents are going to Mexico as missionaries, and she dreaded going along.

But Rosemary Choate, her new school, has its own set of horrors. Illness, vision problems, and nausea begin to plague her. The school doctor is a little too friendly, her classes a little too easy. Soon Dara discovers that her school is more ‘experimental’ than she thought, and she might be the catalyst they've been waiting for.

Lovers of Christian romance and suspense - don't miss The Aspen Experiments!

Hello! I'm Corrie Garrett, indie author of the Austen Ensemble trilogy and other romance novels. I'm currently working on a story about the characters of Mansfield Park, as well as an historical fantasy in the Byzantine Empire.
I love to read as well as write - mainly young adult (contemporary, dystopian, adventure, science fiction), romance (Christian, suspense, historical), science fiction, and urban fantasy.

Not feeling it

Although the premise is intriguing, the execution is sorely lacking. The book moves slowly and the characters are unforgettable. I had high hopes for this, but honestly, didn't make it much more than halfway through.

Quick read but

There's not much new here or horribly interesting but it's not awful. There are some editing issues that could be handled easily and cleaned up. The plot is a bit more interesting than other books in this genre though it relies heavily on religious themes at odd times. Overall if you're interested in time travel stories and don't mind a dose of religion then this could fill an afternoon fairly easily.
