A Hilarious Cozy Mystery with One Very Entitled Cat Detective

Just as I was beginning to think we’d never find the last missing member of our long-lost family, a seagull named Bravo shows up with both a promise and a threat.

He claims he’s been watching me for a long time—even before I gained my strange ability to talk to animals. He also says that if I help settle a dispute between warring flocks, then he’ll personally take me to see the one person I’ve been all but dying to meet. If I refuse to help, however, he’ll send an army of mercenary woodpeckers to destroy my house. Yikes!

Unfortunately, I’ve already promised Octo-Cat that I’ll take him on a cross-country trip to visit his girlfriend out in Colorado. With Nan and I on the road, it falls to Charles and Pringle to investigate in our absence.

Will they be able to solve the case according to the flock’s satisfaction? What shocking secrets has Nan been keeping from me now? And will I be able to survive more than 70 hours in the car with my complaining kitty?

The mysteries abound in our most unusual adventure yet.

Molly Fitz is the quirky, cozy mystery pen name of USA Today bestselling author, Melissa Storm. And while she can't technically talk to animals, she and her doggie best friend, Sky Princess, have deep and very animated conversations as they navigate their days. Add to that, five more dogs, a snarky feline, comedian husband, and diva daughter, and you can pretty much imagine how life looks in the Casa de Fitz.

Molly lives in a house on a high hill in the Michigan woods and occasionally ventures out for good food, great coffee, or to meet new animal friends.

Another wonderful Octo-Cat story. It was exciting to see that Octo-Cat gets to see his girlfriend again. The author did a great job showing the love between the two cats. The Seagull portion was also wonderful, but sad. I also enjoyed seeing how much closer Octo-Cat and Paisley are getting. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

"The things that came out of these animals’ mouths sometimes! I wouldn’t change either of them for the world. No, not even Octo-Cat and his incessant complaining. Changing that would be changing him, and I was a firm believer that we always wound up with the people and animals we needed to have in our lives"

OctoCat, Paisley, Nan, Charles and even Pringle are back in a hilarious addition to the Pet Whisperer PI series. This time, Angi and Nan are headed to Colorado so Octo can spend time with Grizabella, his "girlfriend", leaving Charles (and Facetime) in charge of dealing with an upcoming "war" between 2 flocks of seagulls. How's THAT going? Will the travelers get back in time? And where is Pringle after being given a covert mission? Will he even come back?

I was pleasantly surprised that author Molly Fitz keeps this series lively, interesting and fun. When I saw the title of this volume, I really wondered exactly how a gull was going to be involved, but Bravo is a great character. I love these characters and I love this series! Highly recommended 5/5

This was a fun quirky adventure that will have you giggling and rolling your eyes at the same time, as the main character gives in to some very demanding animals. The pet whisper is a very unique series that some how works and will have you eagerly waiting the next instalment. I think this is because it contains some very loveable pets who get up to all sorts of trouble, Paisley the dog is still my favourite.
It is time for the big adventure and Angie is driving Octo-cat to see his girlfriend but while out collecting his last minute demands for essentials she finds herself a new client that only she can help. Well okay she must call on help from her lawyer boyfriend Charles. It seems two sets of seagulls are fighting over a patch of land after another flick has disappeared and they need a lawyer to dispute the case. Angie can't let Octo-cat down but can Charles a normal human broker the dispute on his own? Let's hope so because if it is not solved in ten days then a flock of woodpeckers are going to vist Angie's house. When the flock of seagulls camp out on Charles front lawn, Angie employs Pringle the raccoon to find out what is really going on.

Angie is surprised when a seagull named Bravo shows up telling her that he's been watching her and knows her biological grandmother. He says that he can introduce her to her grandmother but his flock needs legal help in return. And he threatens her of she doesn't help. She gets Charles and Pringle on the case because she and Nan are driving Octo-Cat to Colorado to see his true love.

This was a quick, fun read and a great addition to the series. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review and I really enjoyed this book. It's well-written with wonderful characters and will draw you in from beginning to end. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order for the best understanding of all the characters.

This is book 12 in the series but can be read as a stand alone book. We met Bravo the seagull. 1bravo convinces Angie that Charles needs to help the flock take control of some land. Charles is on his own with Pringles help since Angie and Nan are taking  Octo-cat to see his girlfriend in Colorado. That trip is eventful.  Pringle comes up missing so Charles feels helpless. Can Angie make it back in time to help him stop the bird war? What happened to the missing Pringle? I receive complimentary books for review from publishers, publicists, and/or authors. I have loved all the stories in this series. This one is not as exciting for me. It seems like a transition as there is still no closure to Nan's background. Octo-cat does get to go on a road trip & be with his girlfriend, Grizabella. The part about the seagulls seemed a little flat to me. The love relationship between Angie & Charles is progressing. Don't get me wrong, I do love this series, recommend it for all to read & eagerly await the next book. I received an ARC. This is my voluntary, unbiased opinion.

It was nice to read another book in the Pet Whisperer PI series with Angie Russo and her cat, Octo-Cat. This book was different because it showcased more of Angie's boyfriend and lawyer, Charles. He handled the legal case while Angie was on a road trip so Oct-Cat could see Grizabella. It was a cute mystery involving several flocks of seagulls and their land dispute. I enjoyed catching up with everyone including Pringle, the raccoon. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

This was an entertaining, well-written story. Angie gets involved with another case. She, Nan and Octo-Cat are going on a road trip, and she brings in her boyfriend, Charles, and Pringle the raccoon for help. We are introduced to Bravo the seagull too. The story was humorous, fast paced and hard to put down. This book can be read as a standalone story, though it is #12 in the Pet Whisperer PI. series. I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more books in this series as well as more books by this author.

Angie and her friends are getting ready for a very interesting trip. Octo-Cat is meeting with her love Grizzabella. But just the day before departure a bunch of Seagulls ask Angie for help in a territory disputed. Is Angie going to help them? They have information about her true grandmother but she needs to make the journey. Charles affects his help but something seems off. Can they resolve the mystery and the most important information Angie wants? A funny adventure with a surpring wink from MELissa.

I love the Octo cat stories. This book had a fun and unusual premise and the opportunity was for lots of adventure, but I felt the story was rushed and opportunity was missed. There could have been more adventures on the road trip. Octo cat could have had some adventures while at Nan's friend's house. I felt like the story was written in a rush to get it done. That being said, I still enjoyed the author's style and the interaction of the characters, and I look forward to reading more in this series.

Legal Seagull is the 12th book in the Pet Whisperer series. We see Angie, Nan, Charles, Octo-cat, Pringle, and Paisley in this story as well two flocks of seagulls. This installment had its funny, laugh out loud moments, but I wasn't quite as engaged as other books in the series. I just like when Octo-cat and Angie are working together to solve mysteries in person instead of the long distance angle. It is still a fun read and I'm looking forward to the next story.

Totally a series! I love the Pet Whisperer P. I. The semi-militaristic Seagull flock is a total riot. Octo-Cat getting to visit his girlfriend is really cute. The fact that Charles is hired as the seagulls lawyer just makes the book.

I don’t know what else to say, if you like animals and mysteries you will love this book!

I’ve taken road trips with a cat and dog and Molly Fitz managed to put a lot of the angst of that in this book. Bravo is a good addition to Oct-Cat, Paisley and Pringle, oh, and Grizabella. There are times when I think being able to talk to my pets would be a good thing, then Molly Fitz makes me wonder about that. This series makes me laugh out loud. I look forward to the next story.

Strange story.

While preparing for a trip to Colorado to visit Octocat's purramour Grizabella, Angie Russo is confronted by a Seagull, Bravo, who demands that she help settle a land dispute between 2 flocks of seagulls. As Angie cannot cancel her trip without enraging the demanding Octocat, her lawyer boyfriend Charles looks into the case.

That was really quite sweet, especially the ending. It kind of felt more Valentine-related than the book before it that was supposed to take place during Valentine’s Day. I guess it just goes to prove that Dr. Roman was right: like love, romance really is a verb and should always be treated as such. And now I really, really want to know what comes next.

A road trip, a case to solve and a possible secret to be revealed - what more can you ask for? This one has more than one investigator and several talking animals. Love Charles and Angie together!!!

Another fun episode with Angie, Octo-cat and the gang. You never know what these animals are going to come out with but it is always a fun time. This story sees Charles taking the lead while Angie and Octo-cat visit Grizabella and Pringle gets to be the hero. This series is always entertaining.

Octo-Cat’s back!

A new adventure! And it was a fun read! How to keep a 12th book in a series fresh? Well, by throwing in a seagull, that’s how! A light-hearted read, just what I needed! I recommend starting with book 1, to see how it all began. You won’t be sorry!

Seagulls and lawyer

Two sets of seagulls fight over a section of property and threaten her and her fiance, and if they win the case, they can give her something she's been wanting to find. Is it that easy, though, oh and drive octo Cat to Colorado to be with his gf

This was ok....I felt it was rushed a little. Not much to a mystery. I do love the series though. Happy Reading :)

In Legal Seagull, Angie's newest client is a flock of seagulls. This case unfolds with humorous remarks from various critters, complaints from Octo-Cat, and a long road trip! The case for the seagulls has to be handled by Charles and Pringle while Angie is out of town. I enjoyed this mystery and could not put it down.
