This prequel to Keys of Times introduces us to the world of the keyMasters, different types of characters (angels, demons, fae, shifters), and key plays in this world. We join them on a night's (mis)adventure, while getting to know them. I loved that we got a hint as to Erica’s future, abilities and challenges she faces, that left me wanting to read more.

This is a prequel novella introducing people to key characters in Georgiana's KeyMaster universe. It follows Michael Nicholas and his Færie on a rather chaotic night as they answer his friend, Anatole, request for help. It provides a detailed origin story for Michael as well as eluding to one's for other characters, like the Jade Fox, a kumiho. Can't wait to read more about her!

Whilst fast paced, in places it feels a little too chaotic as a group of unlikely characters are thrown together, but the story, though short, is gripping and the characters alluring. I can't wait to read Book one in her new Soul Dominion series.
